Great company that does high quality work. I've been very impressed with the workmanship and every staff member I've met.

We live in Black Creek and chose Chattanooga Exteriors to convert an existing deck to a sunroom. We were told repeatedly by the salesman and the project manager that they would not be satisfied with the end result unless we were satisfied. Several issues arose during the project that we were not satisfied with ( roof shingles not matching existing shingles, the use of exterior cement board panels on interior walls causing gaps and visible seams, exterior paint color not matching existing exterior color, poorly installed exterior cement board siding causing visible seams and nails pops, unsightly aluminum panel installed to cover missing/damaged stonework ). All of these issues were discussed with the project manager and the only one that was addressed to our satisfaction was the exterior paint color. We signed off on the project and paid them in full (at a whopping $480/square foot and this did not include flooring or HVAC) because we just needed to move on with our lives, but overall it was a very disappointing and stressful experience. read more

I wish I could give this company 5 stars; they are definitely worthy of it, but they somewhat missed the mark with me. I will start off by saying that the three stars given are for Wes, Rubin and Sebastian. These three are amazing people and do amazing work. The two stars missing are due to the failure of planning for my project and the lack of knowledge the sales team seemingly has about this field of work. For those of you reading this, do not take that as a reason not to choose this company. Read what I have to say first. My husband and I hired this company to build a deck, 2 ADA compliant ramps as well as replace the front porch and add 2 windows to the front of the house. I chose them based on how personable and friendly the sales consultant was and everything he had to say about how this company functions. I was told the design I had in mind was achievable, there was plently of space and things should go as well as construction projects do; unforseen circumstances and stress are always a part of the process. When we went in to their office to go through the show room, the drawing of our project that was presented to us was hand drawn; not something I was happy about. The mistake I made was not speaking up and asking for a CAD drawing or some sort of blue print of the project with measurements as I was expecting, but trusting they knew what they were doing. This is not to say they dont, they just didn't have all their ducks in a row on this one. Being that this was not your average deck, I believe a bit more planning should have been done. I'm not sure how often they run across having to be ADA compliant, that could have been the issue, but some of the information needed to reach that was found out after project start and well after I could make significant changes as I would have liked to. Their failure to be prepared for this project caused us to discard one of the ramps, which now leaves me with only one accessable way out of my home and dug deaper into both mine and the companies pockets. Had they figured out beforehand what was required, we could have come up with a different plan, design, idea of how we would like our home to look, but we weren't given that opportunity. I'm not saying that what we now have is not great, I'm saying it's not what I would have chosen. The team working on our project consisted of Wes, Ruben and Sebastian. Wes(Project Manager) is fantastic! He is very well-versed in many areas of construction, design and functionality, and is knowledgeable when it comes to the who's who and the best choices for subcontractors. Nothing on our project was done with little effort or care, he made sure the work was done right; no cutting corners. I could rely on him to do what he said and trust that he was making the right recommendations. I could depend on him to be there and take time to answer my questions or talk through changes no matter how many other projects he was managing or how much he had on his plate. The poor guy was way over-taxed and still managed to do a 110% job. He was very patient with me when I felt like losing my marbles, and kept me calm when changes had to be made that I was not at all happy with. He made sure that though we were not getting what we expected, we still got something we were happy with and everyone was proud of. Wes went above and beyond our expectations. Ruben and Sebastian, absolute rockstars! Ruben's workmanship is truly phenomenal; he is for sure a master at his trade and a perfectionist. Even though the design we had in mind didn't work out and some of what I was told didn't happen, these two built me something beautiful! They went above and beyond what was considered their job, fixed problem areas they were not required to and worked around me adding my own changes. They are very hard workers, never stopping for breaks except for lunch and would work right through conversations we would have about the progress or changes. Everyone at this company is very friendly and respectful; they seem to really care about the customers wants and needs and will do what is needed to make the client happy. I am happy I had the opportunity to watch the work being done as well as got to know Wes, Ruben and Sebastian. If it weren't for these three, their knowledge, fantastic work and their ability to take a not so great situation and turn it into something wonderful, I would have told this company to pack up their stuff, their fired. I am not the easiest person to please and I expect a lot from companies I hire as well as expect to get what I want, as I'm sure most people do. I will use this company again as long as Wes, Ruben and Sebastian are the ones working on my project. I will recommend others to use this company as well, I would just suggest that you make sure you are comfortable with the plan before moving forward. read more

We have just completed a total exterior renovation of our home with Chattanooga Exteriors. This included replacing all the siding, all new windows, exterior doors, adding a porch and two small brows. We have done several remodels in the past so we have some experience with the process and in choosing contractors to work on our home. We chose Chattanooga Exteriors for the knowledge, experience, quality and customer service that they provide. Zach Wilmore, Jamie Breneman and Jonathan Bailey are some of the most knowledgeable and experienced people I've ever met in the industry. They are all truly gifted not only on the construction side, but also on the design side. Make no mistake, they will do things however you want (as long as it is safe and proper), but they will also give you great suggestions to make things even more beautiful, low maintenance, more energy efficient and more durable. They were able to guide us to make the most out of the vision that we already had. Honestly our house turned out better than we had hoped thanks in large part to their suggestions. I call Zach, Jamie and Jonathan "home construction savants" because no matter what situation or question I threw at them, they always had several great suggestions for a solution. They never told us that we couldn't do something unless it wasn't safe or going to cause problems. In our experience, we've usually found a) contractors that would do exactly what they were told--which sounds good until you realize that things could have been done much better since I/you don't have the knowledge and experience to know what will work well and what won't or b) contractors that only want to do what they want to do because it's easier, cheaper, or the only thing they know how to do. Chattanooga Exteriors is the perfect blend of knowledge and guidance to take your vision and execute it to the fullest. Obviously the quality of the materials and the construction are equally important as the design. This again is where Chattanooga Exteriors shines. They have chosen only quality products to work with and they have a thorough knowledge of the products, their installation and how to use them best in each application. We replaced old brittle vinyl siding with Hardie panel and old drafty wooden double hung windows with beautiful Renewal by Andersen casement windows. Our house should be virtually maintenance free for our lifetime. Our home is special to us and we want the people working on it to take pride in their work. I can honestly say that throughout this whole experience, I always felt that Chattanooga Exteriors treated my house as they would their own. I have no concerns that anything was not done to the highest standard. I work from home so I was here every day with every crew and watched the work being completed. When we ran into issues as every house has (in our case a lot of rot around windows and doors), Chattanooga Exteriors was great about stopping the work, showing me what needed to be done to install my windows and doors correctly to avoid future problems, and getting that work done before proceeding. They will not cover up problems or potential problems and that gives me so much confidence in both their work and my home. Our rot repair delayed/slowed Chattanooga Exteriors schedule significantly, but they never tried to rush our project because of that. And if you've ever done a remodel (or well, anything in life), you know that mistakes will be made. When that happened, I rarely had time to point anything out because Zach Wilmore had already noticed it and scheduled for it to be remedied. Not too many contractors schedule an 'almost final' walkthrough to pick apart their work, schedule all the necessary remedies and then schedule another final walkthrough to make sure it's perfect.
