The staff here is attentive during the approval process, which is how they roped me in. Things turned for me when I realized after I was approved that I could not physically see the apartment I was getting until my move-in date (they showed me a second floor one bedroom example when I went in for the tours). In hindsight this was a huge mistake on my end. The next curveball was getting the Comcast package they insist you have here running. I was on the phone with Comcast for almost 4 hours my first night since it became clear that there was only one viable cord connection for either wifi or cable in my apartment and the other three cords were not working. The next curveball was finding out that I was stuck living underneath a couple with a toddler and another baby on the way (something I might have found out about sooner if I had seen the apartment before signing the lease). My first few days were full of being woken up either in the middle of the night to the sound of crying or at 5:30 am to the sounds of footsteps (not just full on stomping). The apartment walls and floors are very poorly insulated. When I reached out to the office to ask about the rules about noise and if there are quiet hours, I was superficially told about how "everyone has the right to enjoy their apartment" and the neighbors would be told to watch their noise. I was also told that if I complained again, however, I would have to supply a video recording as proof of the noise. My neighbors are still loud a month into me being here and I do not have the energy to engage in a back and forth cycle with the noise complaints. So some feedback for management includes: do not say an apartment is going to be available if the potential resident is not going to be able to see it before they move in, have Comcast service empty apartments if you keep making the technology package mandatory, insulate the floors and walls better, and try not to make new residents feel like they are just another number. read more

Decent enough apartments. However, the management team needs some serious overhaul. The staff are rude and dismissive, not personable at all. I don't know the name of the lady who I saw in the office today, but she was very rude when I walked in. I tried to drop off my lease letter and as I go in to the office to drop it off, she rudely goes "He's on a phone call" (referring to another employee who I don't have an issue with here). I wasn't loud, rude, or anything like that. I simply walked in to deliver a letter. She was nasty and had a bad attitude. As soon as my lease is over I am out of here. Good riddance. read more

They REQUIRE you to pay for Xfinity cable TV and internet, whether you want the service or not. It's a separate line item charge on your lease. When you use the service, it's CONSTANT technical problems. When you complain to management about these issues, you're told to "call Xfinity." You can never get Xfinity on the phone. read more

Application denied on May 24 due to income. Supplied pay stubs and bank statements (for interest income) showing income above requirement. Also supplied additional statements to back up offer and ability to pay lease upfront in full. Application resubmitted and rejected again on May 31. Phoned twice to gain clarification and explain any misunderstandings. Calls were not returned. Additionally, $400 fee to hold apartment has not been returned. Adding insult to injury they are holding my money with no one for me to reach out to for timing information on a refund. I wouldn't if I were you. read more

My wife and I lived here for 2 years before moving back to CA. I'll get this out of the way: Yes, the price is high. It is Chatham, NJ, and if you are looking anywhere in the area, you know the price will be high. For the money, you do get a nice apartment. The grounds and surrounding area is very quiet and well kept. A garage with tons of storage is included with every unit. The units (mine a least) included very nice appliances with a washer and dryer included. I do not have any compliments or complaints for the staff. I did not really have much interaction with them. There is an automated phone alert system that will call to you let you know about things happening on the property, however it often calls you a good four hours or so after the event has already happened. I always paid rent online. My biggest complaint with this apartment is the build quality. My wife and I were on the top floor, and the floors were so squeaky and the walls are crazy thin! I am going to be as honest as possible and say that there was only 40% of the floor that did not squeak. I could hear my next door neighbors pretty easy, and my down stair neighbors and I could have a conversation through the floor. Overall, the place is just OK. If you don't move around a lot and don't mind being able to hear your neighbors talk, fight, having sex or cooking , then the place is great. :-) read more

I wish I could give this property negative stars, it's THAT BAD. If you're psyched about the doggie park don't be, it's ALWAYS empty, ALWAYS! One of the WORST rental experiences I have ever had. They sold me on getting one of their "upgraded" apartments without seeing it first and I am really regretting my decision. I'm paying hundreds of dollars more a month for what were supposed to be nicer appliances and nothing else, except the appliances have dozens of large dents and look awful! I asked for a reduction in rent and they're not budging. They are also the LEAST RESPONSIVE rental company I've ever rented from, they reply to 25% of my emails and phone calls and when they do, it's WEEKS later. I can also hear everything that my upstairs neighbors do, and it's not because they're particularly noisy, it's the quality of the building that lets me hear entire conversations they have in normal voices. I also found the former tenants' dirty laundry between the wall and the washing machine, and they didn't fix one of the chewed up footboards in the apartment until I complained about it 3 times. Don't get fooled by the nice landscaping, the new IKEA kitchen or the garage. It's all lipstick on a pig. The building walls and floors are paper thin. You can hear your neighbours having sex, talking, watching tv. The building shakes for hours if anyone is doing laundry. All in all, this was the worst experience I've ever had a with noise. What's more, everytime I complain to management, they try to imply that I must have really good hearing...wink wink. It is demeaning to be belittled like that. Thank goodness my lease expires soon. For $2000 you can get much better quality than this. read more

I lived here for a year. The place was very updated with new appliances and each unit included a garage which was a nice added bonus. They tried to bring the community together with a BBQ event at the pool which was nice. Its in walking distance to shops. The staff was always very helpful and responded quickly to any maintenance requests. Only downfall was the price and there's not much room to negotiate. read more

The property is beautiful and the renovated apartments are nice. I moved here November 2016 and my base rent was $1875. I have neighbors who moved in before and after I did and their rents are different - one was $1975 one was $2100, for the same layout apartment. That didn't seem quite right to me. When my lease came up for renewal, they "sent it to the wrong apartment" so I didn't have a chance to look for other housing. They gave options of 1 month to 16 months. I wanted to sign another 12 month lease. HOWEVER. The 12 month lease options was $300 more a month, where as the 10 month was $90 more, the 11 month was $70 more and the 16 month was $30 more. They basically forced me into a longer lease. Their reasoning: Well, we may have a lot of leases expiring in November, so we want to make sure that there is space between leases expiring. I told them, why not just raise my rent $30 a month for a 12 month least, then in 12 more months you can raise it another $30. THEN a month after I signed my renewal, the 1 bedroom lease DROPPED on the website down to $1781 or 91 a month. I was shocked to see such a thing happen when they had the gall to raise my rent then lower the rent. A few weeks later the rent on 1 bedrooms jumped online to $1975. This is a money grubbing apartment complex. The took away garages for new leases in 2017/2018 and have to pay an additional $50 a month for a garage if you have a new lease (on top of the base $1975 lease) They boast a "fitness center" or gym, but all it has is a few cardio machines and a giant window into the leasing office so you can watch the management work/they can try to avert their eyes so they don't watch you work out. On the plus side...they did an incredible job with snow removal this year and keeping residents informed about power outages from the bad storm in March 2018. That's why I didn't give this place one star. read more

I figured the other reviewer was a disgruntled person - the people I met were very nice. Unfortunately they basically are used salesman. Every question you have you'll hear "no problem". The thing is when you have a problem, it really is your problem. To get someone to address an issue is a nightmare. They will contradict themselves just to get you into an apartment or to transfer to another apartment. And they will run up the rent just because they can. There are plenty of other apartments in nearby towns (that also accept pets) that are much better priced. I would not recommend renting here - don't be fooled by the sales pitch. read more
