Our wedding took place Saturday, September 22nd, 2012. We just returned from our honeymoon and I wanted to update my review now that our event has already taken place. Booking a venue for your wedding can be a little intimidating. The Chateau Ritz and the staff are a first class operation and put us at ease from the very start. They delivered 100% on all of the arrangements we agreed upon. The staff was always available through the planning process to answer questions. All of the cost estimates provided were right on point (no hidden costs). The facility looked amazing. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The food was delicious. Our guests keep telling us how much they enjoyed their meal. The chicken and steak was cooked to perfection. The soup, carrots, and potatoes were yummy too. We are constantly told how much they enjoyed the fruit and sweet table. The bar service was amazing too! Great selection of beer and mixed drinks too. The bar staff was great. The cake we selected was both beautiful and delicious. All and all, we are over the top please with the Chateau Ritz. We were able to enjoy our wedding day because we trusted our decision to book the Chateau Ritz and they delivered. They are a family owned and operated business. Everything they do, they do with love and it shows. Looking at all of the venues across the city and suburbs, the Chateau Ritz offers more bang for your buck in terms of location, food, booze, service, and the venue itself. There isn't anything I would have changed on our wedding day. Thank you Chateau Ritz!!!!! read more

If I could give this place 20 stars I would. We just had our wedding reception here and it was simply GORGEOUS! Everything inside the ballroom was perfect and set up with such detail and care! The food was hands down amazing!! All our guests RAVED about the hor dourves! Most of them filled up on the delicious hor dourves that when the actual meal came they were so full! The food in this hall is fantastic. Nothing was dry, over cooked or plain. The chicken was my absolute favorite as we did the family style option, but goodness it was absolutely delicious. The best part of this business is the service (owners Nick, Mike and Claudia). My husband and I were BLOWN away by their flexibility and ability to be so accommodating. Every little question or concern they addressed with the utmost professionalism and kindness. Mike is the NICEST MAN EVER! Nick went over all the last minute wedding detail and I also loved that even though Mike handled most of our account - everyone was up to date on what was going on for the reception, so anytime I called or stopped in I was helped by everyone. They even gave us a break because we didn't hit the minimum and only charged us for how many people actually came! My husband and I are not the best planners and are procrastinators, so they were so patient with us!! They never pushed us, tried to sell us on anything and only wanted us to be happy with their service. You will never meet a nicer staff or have better service than at the Chateau Ritz! Don't look any further because the prices are super reasonable in comparison to surrounding venues...oh and I almost forgot the BRIDAL SUITE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND USEFUL! I also forgot that the CAKE Was phenomenal! So many things to rave about, so really best venue ever. For any big future events - I am definitely hosting them here!! read more

We celebrated our marriage at the Chateau Ritz this past December, and ohhhhh man did they deliver! I'm still smiling! And so is my bride, my family and the rest of the 140 beautiful people that joined us that night. We fit more than comfortably into the room and a half, with plenty of leg room for the Greek dancing that seemed to never stop. We served our guests the Chicken Copenhagen (timeless), after some delicious avgolemono. They were fed a plenty, and even came "complaining" to us, with a smile on their face, about the absurd quantity of food they had received. The staff was always friendly, and Mike was even kind enough to look after some things we had left behind. Of course I am bias, but I know that our wedding sits at the top of beautiful evenings I've been apart of in my life, and we could not have done it at any other venue. read more

I don't write reviews unless it's a big deal....and this place is a big deal. I had close to a 500 person wedding on 9/18/10 and I would say that almost every single one of my guests would claim it to be the best wedding they have ever been to. The hall is so beautiful and the food was amazing. We never knew wedding food could be so good....and there was plenty of it! Everything went so smooth. The best part is that management was so accommodating to whatever we wanted. They helped make the most stressful event of your life, easier than it could ever be. I couldn't have been happier. read more

honestly such a beautiful hall I attend this hall on on January 9, 2022 for an engagement our waitress was one of the most sweetest ladies ever I wish I got her name food was beyond amazing such a huge hall I would recommend this hall 100% I wanna thank the owner and the staff for making this an amazing time read more

We just had our wedding shower at Chateau Ritz last week, the staff is very accommodating, friendly with great service, beautiful decor and the food was fantastic. We received many compliments on the food we served, cream of chicken soup, fresh salad and main dish was chicken kabob and pilaf rice with sauce on top and it really was super delish! The owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We are so excited to have our wedding here in a few short months, can't wait! read more

On August 3, 2012 we had our wedding reception at Chateau Ritz in Niles, IL. We were planning a Chicago wedding from Phoenix and were able to communicate with the helpful staff via email and phone calls. Their all-inclusive packages with butler style hor douvres, linens, cake, pastry table, and open bar made planning a wedding from out of state much easier. The only issue we had was a mistake in our original food tasting appointment and having to come back another visit to taste our ultimate food selections. Everyone was impressed with how beautiful and elegant the hall was decorated. The even had a private suite for the wedding party that we could relax for a few minutes and recover after a photo shoot in Lincoln Park in the August heat. They even set aside some appetizers specifically for the wedding party! Everything looked beautiful and just the way I wanted it to look. The food was amazing and plentiful, frequently heard from guests that the appetizers were so good that they filled up too quickly and weren't able to finish the delicious dinner. We offered prime rib or champagne chicken and received compliments on both. The pastry table was beyond our expectations and a huge hit! The servers and bartenders were very friendly, attentive and accommodating to the needs of my guests. I was impressed that they knew to flag (slice of orange and a cherry garnish) the bridal signature drink. I would highly recommend this venue for any special occasion. Thank you Chateau Ritz for helping us celebrate our special day! read more

Beautiful venue! Some spots are a little outdated, but the uplighting and chandeliers are just gorgeous. The room I was mostly in for the wedding reception had a HUGE chandelier that took up a large portion of the center of the room- right over the dance floor. I couldn't help but sneak a picture of it. The bar staff was a little odd though. My husband went up to ask for change so he could properly tip occasionally, and the bartender told him to just grab what he needed from the tip jar. Super uncomfortable. Then later that night, my friend saw the same bartender pushing and yelling at another bartender in front of everyone! Who does that?? The food came out in odd time spans. The soup was first with some bread, it was minestrone. So yummy! It had the perfect ratio of chunks of veggies to creamy broth. I went to the restroom after it and when I came back the salad was already there. The salad was your typical garden variety with options of Italian or ranch dressing. Then it took a really long time to bring out the entrees! Everyone was super hungry too because we had been waiting so long, but thanks to an open bar, by the time the dinner arrived everyone was full on liquids. The dinner plate was a normal sized plate, but FILLED completely! The only time I've seen a wedding dinner plate that filled is when it's a do-it-yourself buffet! There was a dollop of mashed potatoes, mixed sautéed veggies, then New York strip steak, AND a huge piece of chicken marsala. I devoured the chicken Marsala- it was seriously amazing. The sauce was rich and mixed well with the mushroom slices. The steak was alright at best, just not my thing, so I only had a few bites of it. I honestly only had one bite of the veggies and it was crazy juicy, but then I was super stuffed!! Summary: Pretty good food, but the portions were just nuts, and I absolutely loved the look of the venue hands down. read more

I have hosted 2 wedding for my sisters and attended multiple wedding at this venue. A excellent place over all and very close to the city.

We went here for a wedding July 2015. This venue is really spectacular, very cozy and warm with beautiful decor. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food, from the minestrone soup, fresh salad, to the perfectly cooked steak and mouthwatering chicken was all fantastic. It was the first time that I was actually stuffed at a wedding. If you live in the Chicago area, check this place out for your special day or event. Highly recommend. read more

I had our wedding here and bridal shower I highly recommend this venue. Everyone here is so nice, helpful, and they really want you to have the perfect event! Everything turned out perfect. They also let you try the food for free! We had the Greek chicken, salmon with lobster dill sauce, chicken Marsala, and pasta primavera...we got so many compliments on the food. I had the pasta primavera and it was to die for!! Highly recommend this venue for any occasion!!!! read more

This review is long overdue but if I could give this place 6 stars I would! We hosted our wedding reception here in fall of 2013 and Chateau Ritz was so great to work with. Planning an event of this size can be a nightmare but Chateau Ritz was extremely accommodating of our very particular wishes and budget. Prices were competitive and the staff was extremely flexible on some of their procedures. We visited a number of venues in the Chicago area and this one was the best by far. The food was amazing, the decor perfect, the bridal suite was impressive and the staff so kind. I highly recommend this space! The only negative is that one of their recommended cake vendors was pretty bad. The other one, Highland Baking Co. was lovely and delivered a beautiful and delicious cake. read more

My daughter chose this location for her reception in June 2015. The facility is very nice - elegant without being stuffy, and laid out well (adequate and well-appointed washrooms, winding staircase leading up to a private bride staging area where the bridal party freshened up before the reception). The food was good. The pastry table was over-the-top fantastic, a conversation starter as well as fantastic selection and delicious. This is a must add to your event. That all makes for a solid review. But what puts this venue over the top is the staff. I cannot stress enough how easy everything was, even though we might have challenged them with a few last-minute changes. They know their business. This is a family-run business; they take great pride in their reputation, and it shows in every detail, every conversation, and every process. When the bride became nervous about a detail, Mike calmed her every time and explained that everything could be worked out. Nick was fabulous with offering suggestions, and Claudia was clear and efficient with her explanations. For many of us, hosting a wedding is a first-time experience. We don't know what we don't know, and we need a venue that will have staff members that not only answer our questions but know what questions we haven't asked yet because we aren't experienced. They are. The event was beautiful not just because of the space or the food; every detail was attended to, and personal touches were accommodated which made the reception memorable. I am sure they do thousands of events every year, but it felt as though they thought our event was special. If your priority is to find a venue that can offer a nice space, and good food at reasonable prices, this is a great place to consider. If your priority is to find a team that can help guide you through an intimidating process and take pride in the final result, run directly to this venue. It will be an easy road after that. read more

We just had my daughters wedding here. This place is amazing, beautiful from top to bottom. So many of our guest keep telling us how delicious the food was. The meal was fabulous, the appetizers and sweet table were very plentiful. No one was every looking around trying to find a server, they were always there. Plenty sweet table leftovers to take home. The servers were all wonderful and very polite. Bartenders were also very attentive and sociable. The bridal suite is beautiful. The whole staff is incredible, very polite and attentive to your every need. I look forward to having events here in the future and I highly recommend this banquet hall for any of your upcoming functions. read more

was very nice. Had been here for a few different events and also had our wedding here. Beautiful interior makes for really great pictures. I can't comment on the food as we had catering each time we were here. read more

Ritz was amazing. I just had a 600 people wedding at the ritz. They are kinder than you can ask for. They corrected us with seating and helped us making changes when we counted wrong. Their prices are affordable and the hall is SOO BEAUTIFUL that you barely need any decoration. Key to wedding planning is having a GOOD venue with great staff. They were above and beyond with the service. The broccoli chedder soup is amazing. We had the brochette for main meal which is also great. Many of our vendors called ritz and asked questions and no one had any complaints about the staff. If i have any future events, it would be at the ritz. Great people with great hearts!! read more

Nice average venue, firendly staff. Easy parking. Vey clean and beautifully decorated!

had an absolutely terrific experience having my wedding at Chateu Ritz. You simply cannot go wrong with this venue. Entire staff is amazing, thank you again for such a special evening! read more

Very nice venue for a party, but the food could have been better. Parking and location are great.

We recently had our wedding here this past weekend and it was beyond our expectations. The food was spot on and the staff were all very attentive. For the price you pay you get more than anywhere else in the area and the cake and open bar with top shelf liquor were included! The venue is beautiful and we even had use of the bridal suite as well. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the venue, food, and the whole night in general. Being that we were two brides, they were very open and accepting to me and my now wife - even let me go through the kitchen through a different door so me and my bride could walk towards each other. They are very accommodating and set up the right expectations. Thank you again staff/owners of Chateau Ritz for making our night so memorable! Highly recommend for anyone having their ceremony and reception! read more

I have been here as a guest, and thought it very nice with decent food. But not until working closely with Mike, Vicki, and Jim as Reservations Chair for our group's recent luncheon there did I realize what gems work in the Catering Office. Mike's, especially, patience, kindness, and accessibility helped make my duties much smoother and less stressful. The room was set up as requested, the wait staff was efficient, and Mike and Vicki responded quickly to any last minute requests; they even added an extra touch by placing a gorgeous foyer arrangement on the Reservations table from a wedding the night before. CR is becoming the banquet location for our ethnic community. My husband and I hope to plan an upcoming important event in our lives with CR. Then we will get to experience the special event ambience shown in their photos! read more

I had my Quinceanera 12 years ago in this venue. Last night I had my wedding. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful. But everyone here made it easier. We had a confusion about the head table. I wanted a sweetheart table and they accidently added for the whole bridal party. At this point I didn't want to stress it so I said it was okay. When those doors opened they had changed it to make me happy. Everything was great!!! They did it to make us happy. The service was so friendly. The food was great. Thank you!!!!! Can't forget love the open bar!!! read more

I had my wedding here in the spring of 2018. I was very pleased! We worked closely with Mike, who took great care of us. We rented all three rooms, which worked out very well as we had the whole venue to ourselves. The food was great (we were also able to order some additional outside catering as we wanted to include certain ethnic foods). The space itself is lovely. As the bride, I had my own suite and bathroom to myself, as did the groom. We looked at a few other weddings venues in the area but CR won out for several reasons: the staff members (particularly Mike) were very pleasant to work with, they were accommodating to our needs, the price was reasonable, the venue is beautiful, large, and well maintained with large groom/bride suites. We and our guests had a great time. Thank you Mike and the whole team at CR! read more

As a note, I have not had an event or eaten here, but I did come to check it out for a possible wedding reception location. On walking in, the guy in the office was on the phone, which is fine, so my fiance and I sat down to wait. We overheard him say a ceremony in a separate room is $500, and if you do it in the same room as the reception it is free. That was cool, and info we were both going to ask for. However, another guy came in and ended up helping us as the first guy was still on the phone. He showed us pictures and the menu and such, but then told us a ceremony is $600 in a separate room and $200 if held in the same room as the reception. What? Kind of shady business there. Either this guy was lying to us, or the guy on the phone was lying to prospective customers. Or they just price based on customer discrimination. Not cool. The place is very pretty and they did a mass renovation (the only thing they kept the same are the chandeliers, or so our guy told us). So my advice to you, if you like it, is bring someone who can spin deals as it seems the guys in charge like to play fast and loose with prices. read more

Very disappointed with this place!! Had a sweet 15/16 for my Daughters set up to be taking place at the end of October, when in March we put down 2,000$ to lock in our date and the COVID-19 hit so we waited like everyone else to see what would happen being that our next payment wasn't due till May well May came we spoke to the owner and explained the situation that now unfortunately due to the pandemic my kids no longer wanted to celebrate their sweet 15/16 scared no one who'd show up and being that we were going to spend a lot of money on this occasion we agreed with them but they told us they couldn't reimburse us any money because it was in the contract! Wow wow wow! So we are like everyone else struggling to get by during these hard confusing times and yet they just took our money like nothing I asked if we can at least get half back being that they did nothing for us to deserve $2000 and they told us there's nothing they could do but change the date this is not a wedding this is a birthday that they will no longer be at age for what the celebration is next year I don't believe COVID-19 was in the contract being it wasn't even heard of till after we put down the down payment(2,000$) and I'm sure they got some kind of assistance for their business so I really recommend you people to read the contract before and ask questions before you do any business with these people! Very very sad!! read more

We had our wedding at Chateau Ritz 2 weeks ago. The food was perfect. I don't think I've had better food at any other wedding I attended (not to be biased since it was my own wedding :) ) Usually the bride and groom don't eat the entire day, but I could not resist the champagne chicken and steak. The sweet table was beautifully decorated. Everyone complimented how good the sweets were and how wonderfully and with style everything was positioned. The only thing is I wish I would have taken an additional half a space. I felt like the guests were squished together because all the tables were so close to each other. But I guess it was cozy. The banquet is absolutely amazing. So elegant and beautiful. To this day everyone talks about how gorgeous the hall was and how good the food was. Oh, and the management! Arie, Joanna and Nick are the BEST. They are so easy to deal with. They do exactly what you want them to. When I felt stressed about something I would come in to talk to them and they were able to destress me. Planning a wedding is not easy. I'm blessed that I have chosen Chateau Ritz for my wedding. The banquet and the people that work there are simply amazing! Thank you!!!! read more

Everyone is so nice here cannot wait for my wedding here!! Was here for a baby shower the room was decorated beautifully the food was GREAT the chateau chicken rocked. My husband and I had our wedding at the Chateau Ritz in June 2010. Everyone we worked with was wonderful, helpful and accommodating. The room was beautiful and elegant. We had a sit down dinner for 450 guests. The service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. We had filet mignon, double baked potato, and asparagus. The sweet table was out of this world! The dance floor is big enough for large weddings. All of our friends and family keep telling us it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to! I would tell anyone to have their wedding at the Chateau Ritz! read more

What a surprise! We held our wedding at this location on Halloween. They were great to work with prior, during and post the reception. The location was clean and set up beautifully. The reception opened up on time and the service during the event was outstanding. We served the minestrone soup, salad, salmon, chicken and veg lasagna...and it was great. Everything was perfectly cooked and heard no complaints. We used two bartenders at the bar and it was sufficient to keep people moving through. I would recommend the location for any event. read more

We had our wedding reception at Chateau Ritz and the service they provided was excellent. From the start of the planning they were all very personal, accessible, professional, and understanding. They were very accommodating with our special requests. Compared to other reception venues we researched their prices couldn't be beat. The room was beautifully decorated as planned and the food was delicious. We had over 250 guests and they all had nothing but great comments about their experience at Chateau Ritz. read more

My wedding was on 1/1/7 and this was where I had my reception. This is hands down the best place to do your wedding or any other event! They were so easy to work with and they're the nicest people you'll ever meet. We got so many compliments on our venue! The place is BEAUTIFUL. My husband and I looked at so many different places.. modern venues, places downtown, Rosemont and by the lake.. CR was the prettiest place and the most affordable. The service here was great, better than any venue I've been to, and they were willing to accommodate anything we wanted. Planning the wedding was not stressful at all because they were so easy to work with! The place is very spacious, the lobby looks beautiful, the bathrooms are nice and there is a beautiful private bride's room complete with a cute bathroom (and shower). The cake was included in our package and the cake was perfect....and delicious! They can accommodate for any size group, as small or as big as you need it. The parking lot is huge. There wasn't valet, but wherever you park, you won't be far from the door - no complaints from anyone from our party in the middle of January. The waitstaff was amazing, they were VERY quick! The open bar was AWESOME. They have the best open bar and they asked us if there was anything in particular that we wanted to drink. Everyone was impressed by the selection at the bar. Also, we got SO MANY compliments about the food... no matter what you order for your event, the food will always always be amazing. I looked into this place because my best friend's wedding was at CR a few years ago and her and her husband also had their reception here. I am so happy I chose this place. If you ever need a venue for ANY event... don't go anywhere else but Chateau Ritz! read more

We had our wedding reception here and were not disappointed. This was the most bang for the buck we could find. Food and atmosphere were great and the staff was amazing. All our questions were answered immediately and we felt like they really cared about our desired experience. Also, this is a family run establishment so they have been in the business for quite some time. Could not speak highly enough of this place. read more

I just had my wedding reception at Chateau Ritz past weekend (6/30/12) and I can't say enough. This banquet hall is the best there is. They have wonderful staff members, supportive, helpful, patient, approachable, and professional. The day of the wedding- I admired that dinner was served by a good amount of waitresses, two managers, and the owner. Someone was always around in case we needed anything but the entire event was planned out and organized so well that I didn't need to worry about anything. It went so smoothly.Overall, I was really impressed with the quality of the food, the quantity, and service. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, well cooked, and most importantly warm. We received many compliments on choosing this Hall and I am very proud of my decision. It was elegant, well decorated, staffed appropriately, and profesional. They really made my dreams come true. I wouldn't change anything about it. Another great thing was the bridal suite, which we had all to ourselves. It was goreous. Very spacious, with a couch, chairs, table, beautiful big mirror, private restroom and a shower (in case of need). The entire hall is well kept, clean, with beautiful chandeliers. Let me also mention that prior to booking this Hall I went though about 7 or 8 other reception banquet halls and boy I am glad I kept looking because it was really worth it. Best of Luck! read more

If I could give 6 stars or more I would! Chateau Ritz has surpasses any expectation I had for a wedding reception venue. From the beginning they made me feel comfortable and like family. Any concern or worry I had, they were very reassuring. They are one of the most reasonably priced in the area. You get so much food and amenities for your money! Most venues try to nickel and dime you for any additional request, but not Chateau Ritz. The staff is genuine and truly cares about making your day special. They would quickly respond to my many questions I had throughout the process. The hall is absolutely beautiful! It felt spacious, but private enough for an intimate setting. The food is beyond amazing (the best "wedding food" I have ever had) and the open bar had many options! I would recommend Chateau Ritz to anyone looking to be taken care of and be put at ease. read more

I was there April 29 for a buffet-style luncheon serving about 175 people. This is a very nice venue and the food was excellent. However, I subtracted a star rating for lack of efficiency in setting up the buffet line. It took a long time for everyone to move through the line because they set it up against a wall. By pulling the tables out from the wall, people could have used both sides and been done in half the time. Apparently they don't have much experience serving buffet style. read more

I had my wedding here a couple of months ago and still can't get over how beautiful it was. The food was delicious. The place was gorgeous. The service was wonderful. I couldn't be happier. My brother, sister, and I booked the Chateau Ritz for our parents 30th wedding anniversary. The customer service was superior from the first phone call. I got a hold of Ari and told him what we were looking for but he could tell we had never really planned anything like this before. He invited us over to take a look at the space and was extremely helpful in alleviating our anxiety. We told him our budget and told him we wanted good food, good drinks, and everybody to have a memorable time. He pretty much took over from there. You can only appreciate how much he really helped when you think about how hard it is for three siblings to come together and make decisions about anything. So to sum it up. The hall is beautiful. The staff is attentive and polite. The food was beyond excellent. The drinks were cold. Didn't have to deal with the traffic/congestion/parking issues of the city. I will keep the Ritz in mind for any future events. Thanks for your help Ari! read more
