Our group of six (me, my wife, her mom, our daughter, her husband, and their dog) came here for a light lunch on a Friday (everyone was off for the 4th of July weekend), taking advantage of their dog-friendly outdoor dining area. We all had a great time. My wife's college roommate's relatives are the family owners (Daniel and Helen Ferrelli, and their daughter/son-in-law Angela and Kevin Taylor), and she recommended that we stop by when in the area. It was fairly busy, but found a nice area to sit down for our group. Bev was our server, with Helen (co-founder, co-owner) stopping by to say 'Hello'. Both were friendly and gracious and made us feel at home. My wife and I got the 6-wine tasting ($25, complementary with every 2 bottle purchase): -- Angie '22 Blanc de Blancs, named after the co-owner; Adrienne '24 Chenin Blanc, named for their grand-daughter. We really liked both whites, and ended up getting a bottle of each ($55 for Angie, $35 for Adrienne). -- Paulie '22 GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre), named for their grandson. Very, very light. -- Upright '21 estate merlot. We liked this one a lot, named as a counter-balance to the movie that made merlot a four-letter word. -- Nana '21 merlot, named after Daniel's grandmother -- Big Papa '23 Cabernet Sauvignon, named after the owner himself. We ordered some light food to share as well. The Buffalo Chicken Dip ($20) was solid, coming with baby root vegetables. The Meatza Pizza ($20) was very good, like a tavern style thin crust pizza with a nice charred crust and lots of meat and cheese. It was a gorgeous day in the Pacific Northwest, which just made everything better. They also have a tasting room in downtown Seattle, but I was glad to come to their original location. It was the first winery visited in this area, and a good introduction to see others as we continue to visit.

They have a patio area with covering and indoor seating. For our visit, we opted to sit indoors and take a break from the heat. Staff were very friendly and confirmed our reservations and seating. This tasting room does have a kitchen, pizza oven, and offers various bites to pair with their wines. They also have a frosé machine featuring their Oldfield Estate Rosé with fresh strawberry purée and a Pinot Grigio with an Aperol float. Their wine tasting line-up features 2 whites and 4 reds. We ordered a bottle of their Big Papa Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé Frosé, Pinot Grigio Frosé with Aperol, and a pepperoni pizza to share. The pizza was delicious. Cripsy thin crust and freshly made. The Cabernet Sauvignon was robust, earthy, and notes of fruits and spice. This wine paired well with the pizza. The frosé was refreshing and the aperol float made for a wonderful summer drink. Service was top notch. Water refills were frequent along with check-ins on our experience. Efeste also has a Sodo tasting room and both locations are offering a special called Wine and Dine Duo. The special price is $30 and wine pours are the Adrienne, Babbit, Paulie, Ceidleigh. We'll definitely return for a proper round of tasting and maybe explore a membership.

We loved everything we tried and went home with bottles. A great space to enjoy some award winning wines, but is a little dark in the tasting room to enjoy on a sunny day, so will likely return on a rainy one.

We did the wine blending class and it was interesting. We had friends stay there last year and did this and they actually got to take with them their own blend but they have now changed their policy so that is no longer the case. So not sure what the purpose of the blending class is?!? Other than to educate you on how different the taste is with each varietal. But we did get a bottle of wine of our choice (Malbec wasn't available and was the favorite) and all of this was free! Also the same evening, Tsillan Cellars was doing a free tasting at the hotel and that was very fun. The owners were there and were very engaging and friendly. We ate at the rooftop restaurant and unfortunately didn't have a good experience. One of our party got sick, the food was "ok", our server was fine. Nothing great to report there. There is a coffee shop on the street level that was fabulous. Friendly staff and the food choices are amazing .... It was an expensive trip but we felt with the amenities this hotel comes with, it's worth it. Had to wait in the lobby until 4:40 to get our keys holding garment bags and suitcases. Finally get up to our room and the Tv doesn't work. Tried to call the front desk and the phone doesn't work. Had to walk back down to the front desk and was told he would call the service provider and the phone and tv should work. Still waiting we shall see. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are not very helpful in addressing issues. I would not spend over $500 again to stay here. Best western would be better. Very disappointed Been an hour now and still no TV or phone. Guess just going to bed.

Two things I did not like:…read more1) they only let you have a rehearsal for an hour between 9 to 4 weekdays which meant anyone working normal business hours or coming from out of town could not make it. 2) Joanna interrupted me during the reception to go over the credit she was giving me. We had scheduled an hour at the end of our rental for clean up (which was plenty of time since we did not serve food) so I don't know why she felt the need to interrupt me during a busy hectic time for something like that.

The highlight of working with this venue is Joanna. She is so incredibly warm and welcoming and focused on creating the event you want. She was available all the time and always answered emails and phone calls promptly. She is flexible and happy to meet and show you around and walk the grounds with you. She also suggested my amazing planner, Julia Pavlovski of Wedding Wise Seattle, and for that I am forever grateful (sorry, shameless plug, but it really was such a great recommendation). When I arrived to Robinswood on the day of, overwhelmed by everything that was going wrong (sooooo many things went wrong) Joanna saw me and gave me a giant hug and it really reassured me that she and the team were going to make sure everything in their power went perfect. And they did. The space is intimate. They say that they can fit over 200 people, but I wouldn't suggest it for over 100-125 as I feel you'd be quite cramped. We wanted an outdoor wedding and as it rained (even though the forecast was only 10% chance!!) on our big day, having the log cabin and awnings was a great relief for ourselves and our guests while the teams were prepping the reception area. The grounds are unique. I am actually a huge fan of the flow from ceremony garden area to cocktail/dancing area to reception area. It kept everyone organized and in one place. Additionally, their staff for day of is really great. We got compliments about the bartender and serving staff. I would say the things to be aware of is a lack of flexibility on their policies. Their policies are their policies and there isn't wiggle room, so if you were hoping to work with a specific caterer who isn't on their list, or serve liquor, or do a sparkler send off, etc be prepared to nix those ideas. In a way, it actually does make it easier for a bride to make decisions by narrowing down the options (trust me future brides, a million options is not always a good thing), but for people who have a very very specific idea in mind, talk to Joanna about those specific ideas before signing your contract to ensure detail you have in mind is allowed. Over all, we are very happy with Robinswood House. It was great for our perfectly imperfect day!

As first-time wedding planners, we were nervous about pulling everything together. But LHF made the process feel seamless. With their all-inclusive offerings--catering, bar service, and even décor--they provided a detailed questionnaire that helped us visualize every aspect of our day. It truly felt like they were guiding us through the planning, not just hosting the event. The venue itself is stunning. If you've browsed their website, you already know how beautiful it is--but seeing it in person is something else. We saw our guests taking photos near the fountain and in the valley with the mountains creating the perfect summer backdrop. What really stood out, though, was the food and service. One of our aunts came over to our sweetheart table during dinner just to rave about the meal--the London Broil was perfectly tender, and the salmon was flavorful (and most importantly, not dry). They even made sure our vegetarian guests were well taken care of, which we deeply appreciated. Since most of our décor was DIY, we were a bit anxious about setup while still trying to stay relaxed on the big day. LHF made it easy. They had linens ready early and guided our families on where to place everything. The floor managers even stopped by while we were getting ready to introduce themselves and let us know they were available for anything we needed. That level of thoughtfulness and calm energy made all the difference.

We toured quite a few online, then selected our top 10 in person. We went in person to tour the grounds and immediately upon walking into the venue, my daughter-in-loves eyes LITERALLY began to twinkle. I knew right away she had fallen in love with Lord Hill Farms (LHF). And this was just us entering the reception hall. LHF properties and gardens are nothing short of exquisite. Walking thru the grounds it almost feels like Tuscan gardens. Views of the cascades. Small lakes and water fountains. The grass is beautifully green and the outdoor ceremony location has a beautiful spot over look g the lake on property and an arbor you just need to decorate. The building has a very well maintained and sexy masculine grooms room. With a. At broom on that side to keep him away from the bride. The brides room is bright and elegant with gigantic mirrors & great lighting for the ladies to get their hair and make up done. The reception are has several cozy "loungey" areas for you to sit and chat. One has a fireplace too. The bar is ample and nice but also not in your face so it doesn't take away from the venue or decor. They have chandeliers and twinkle lights already available and beautiful white drapery that makes this venue both magical and elegant at the same time. The indoor ceremony location is very nice. One of the benefits of this being ur is it can accommodate a large even. We expected 300. So when you enter the space you have beautiful pillars available to you, gold chevalier chairs lining the ceremony hall and a beautiful walk way to the stage. We rented and added the white drapes for the big reveal of the bride entering and it just made the space dreamy. The windows allow for a nice view of the outdoor grounds. The one caveat: make note of the sunset time and where the sun will be at the time of your ceremony. It was back lit so very difficult to see the bride, groom, wedding party and their faces as they were silhouetted. That was one big negative. We didn't know so we're t able to rent lighting or prep our photographer to prepare. Still waiting on pics, so hopeful that she was still able to shoot well given the challenging lighting situation. We did chose to have an indoor wedding ceremony because may is generally cold and wet. Who knew we had the most beautiful weather. The other nice thing is the venue does have audio equipment for both ceremony and reception hall. Food: with a large wedding event we went with their pasta bar. This is not basic. The chef honestly prepares a very flavorful well presented pasta bar. I am a total foodie and was expecting basic at the food tasting but it was far from that. In fact the food rating made us feel so special. The team at LHF do not leave any details out so you feel like you're popping in on someone's event. Everything from appetizers to dessert and wine. One miss is we had many gluten free guests and the team forgot to put a sign out for GF guests to request their plate so there was some confusion for many of those guests. So that was a call out I made note for the venue. It would have minimized confusion and hurt feelings. The reception hall: round and rectangular tables are available. They'll help work a nice floor plan for you. There is plenty of great lighting. A nice set up for dessert, coffee and tea, bar, DJ and areas for Photo Booth etc. we used round tables. Which also have the hood chavalier seats. When we arrived for set up, all our tables were ready for us to set up. They had white linens and silverware in pace. We opted to bring our own napkins, runners and did our own decor and it was beautiful! One note: they've change policies on lot candle/tapers, even if they are dripless. Unfortunately, we didn't find out until the day of. Which means I now have several hundred new and very expensive dripless candles I can't send back. So get yourself battery operated or candles that are IN. Container that covers the tip of the candle. I understand why, and tracy was kind enough to explain what had happened a couple weeks earlier. Unfortunately it's one bad experience that messes it up for the others. So keep that in mind if you want actual kit candles hey a full container for each one so you can have the candle lit vibe. Staff. In General the staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. We had a couple little hiccups w a couple of their younger staff. But hole it up to youth and new work experience. Tracy and team were very receptive to the feedback. Pricing. Very reasonable for a full service. A venue that runs you 6k is not apples to apples. Be careful as you compare what you get.
