The layout feels like you're in a cozy home vs. traditional nail salon. The owner is very friendly, talkative, and likes to get to know each of her clients. I would say service is very personable. I had an SNS manicure and pedicure and the process took awhile combined with the wait time. The service didn't feel as relaxing as I'm used to but my nails looked good in the end. read more

So full disclaimer-I am not a regular manicure kind of girl. I am a lifelong nail biter and I work with my hands and I can't really get behind spending that much money on my nails every week or two just for them to get wrecked right away that being said I had a wedding and I wanted to have pretty hands. I have been hearing about SNS for a while and wanted to try it out before an upcoming event. I am also a sucker for trying out anything that may be able to help me quit my gross habit. I am beyond thrilled with the way this turned out! My nails are seriously like a work of art. I took a picture in of exactly what I wanted and Hayley (the tech who I worked with-highly recommend! Her work is beautiful and she was so sweet!) and she helped me match the color to the SNS samples. It took about an hour and a half and was a little pricy but I did have a fancy manicure so I'm not that shocked. Next time I'll do something a little more low key. But I definitely recommend this salon! It's beautiful and clean and the the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and sweet. I'll. be returning for my next event for sure! UPDATE: holy moly! SNS is officially my new favorite thing ever. I just went back today to have them removed after 1 whole month! Seriously. And they were still in pristine condition. I only had them removed because my actual nail had grown so much that they were starting to bend at the tip and pull on my nail bed (which if you have never experienced that, it hurts). My nails underneath are so long and healthy and pretty!! Definitely try it!! This salon has such a great selection and tang of colors and they can do anything!! This is really really great way to help you quit if you are a nail biter because it lasts so long that you just forget about the urge to bite and once removed your nails are long, pretty, and healthier. SNS + feet = perfection ( no possibility of smudging your polish ). Heaven, so excited Jenna said yes to this. I love SNS nails on my hands, and I wanted the same on my feet. I never have to worry about wet nails on my hands or feet.- always perfect. I can leave the salon, wearing sneakers and go to the gym. You do have to be a bit flexible for SNS on your toes. This salon is fantastic. All of the staff really works hard to make sure I'm enjoying my pedicure, my foot massage, color selection, design after it's complete, etc... I'm always happy with the final result of my nails. The look and feel of the salon is gorgeous. It's aesthetically pleasing, welcoming, and, relaxing. They usually work on your hands and then your feet ( different stations ), allowing you to relax and enjoy your experience. It's not an In & Out Burger or fast food restaurant. I would rate Chateau de Nails 5 stars but MY experience earned a rating of 2 stars. I went to go get my nails done with my two other friends and we got the exact same treatment---acrylic gel french tip nails. When comparing my nails after the manicure to my friends' nails, theirs were enormously better. First of all, my manicurist, Alex, added a VERY thick coat of acrylics. My acrylics were SO thick that my nails looked as if they were popping out of my nail bed at a 45 degree angle. My friend, on the other hand, had a very nice thin coat of acrylics on hers, therefore her manicure looked much more natural than mine. Thanks to my thick nails, I find it very embarrassing possessing 3D nails. Other than that major issue, I greatly disliked my french tips!! My two friends' tips were so distinct and gorgeous (there was a fine line between the tip and the nail bed). But my french tips were so messy! There was no fine line but just ragged painting that passed off as a "French Manicure". Also, I noticed numerous air pockets on my two thumbs, so that upset me. Other than those two major issues everything else was alright. Unfortunately, this imperfect manicure cost me $80, but the price wasn't what I was upset about---I was greatly saddened by the quality of the manicure. Really impressed. I did have to wait just a bit today as a walk in but I would've waited at any other busy nail salon so I'm not taking away from them for that at all. The place was very clean and the decor and music was excellent. I wanted to do my regular gel nail but after seeing and hearing about the SNS nails I decided to try them out. They look and feel great. I can't wait to see how long they last (I'm very hard on my nails and gel just hasn't held up) The staff was very friendly, especially Jenna. I feel bad that I didn't get my nail techs name before I left but will definitely go to her again. I have definitely found a replacement for my old nail salon. No more accepting subpar manicures with acetone diluted down gel polish! **UPDATE** 29days later I needed to have my SNS nails redone. (Really should have gone back around 21days but my schedule didn't allow) I'd say they held up pretty well! Nancy was my nail tech and she redid them for me last Monday. I chipped one today(7days later) and called down and they had me come in and fixed it right away. I haven't felt so welcome at a nail salon ever. I've been here about a dozen times for pedicures. Decor and ambiance are great. Its a pretty salon and they speak well. Service was great the first few times. But service has been slowly going down hill, as the last couple of times I left not as satisfied as I had before. The girl who recently did my pedicure worked so fast, as though she was ready to get me out of there and get back to her own thing. And through the quick pedicure she barely spoke to me and when she did speak it was in a way that seemed aloof. I let my toes dry at the drying table and when i went to the cashier to pay at the end I waited a few minutes and nobody came. I had to go back to a different stylist and ask them to send someone up front to ring me up (I wasn't too happy about that considering I was trying to keep the walking to a minimum since I just had a pedicure). Nice looking salon, but service is starting to bite. You can tell they value their more frequent customers, which is understandable...but don't make it so obvious. I will give it one more try, but if it goes the same way then I will happily take my business to one of the other nail salons nearby. read more

I decided to check this out on Saturday. Speaking English is a big plus for this salon. No broken language and feeling like your in foreign country. Also, the decor is lovely. It may need a little maintenance, some of the beautiful chandeliers bulbs are out and the chairs are prettier than most salons, but some of them are broken and worn. I am only saying this because the owners are doing a great job, they just need to make sure the place doesn't lose it's French glamour over time. I'm giving them 2 stars for their decor and ambiance only. I'm writing this review a little over a week after I had gels done my first time at this place. 2 nails have completely peeled off and 3 are chipped in half. I've been getting gels for 5 or 6 years and have never had this happen. Maybe after 2 weeks one might chip if I'm hard on my nails that week (like Moving or decorating for xmas) but these are peeling off in my sleep. Something wasn't done correctly. Also the chair massager was so loud that I opted to just not use it rather than having the whole salon look at me nastily for ruining their peace and quiet every 15 seconds. Sounded like an 18 wheeler going up a big hill. And lastly, I paid extra for a pedicure that included a longer massage and sugar scrub and she massaged my feet and legs for less than 5 minutes. I was in and out in 40 minutes and they did my gels and pedicure separately (usually at other places they do it together in the pedicure chair and I'm there for about an hour and get at least 10 min. Massage for the basic let alone a delux). and the total charge was around $80. Sad because I am new to this town and loved this location, but I won't be wasting my money here again. Customer Service: I work with teenagers; so, the general customer service that you may experience with someone who is 20 doesn't offend me. I was hesitant to visit after reading the reviews, so I was very surprised when I called and they were really friendly and someone texted me the address and told me how to get there (ROSWELL LOCATION CLOSED). The staff was friendly when I arrived as well. In fact, the lady who gave me a pedicure was really chatty and sweet. Pedicure: It was good- the massage for the $25ish price was really great. It was quick and I didn't have to wait at all (mid-day on Wednesday). I got a gold polish that was a little sparkly and she told me that it really needed to dry and set the timer for 15 minutes. I waited the whole time, and still didn't put my shoes on until I got out of the car later that day and it completely messed up the polish on one of my toes. I'm unsure if that was my fault. I'll probably give this place another try anyway. Atmosphere: My favorite. If you have a daughter who loves all things super girly then this would be the place to take her. The staff here are professional, pleasant, and thorough. I frequent for pedi's, mani's, eyebrow waxing, gel nails and manicures. I have been a client since December, looking forward to each visit. How does this place not have 5 stars?? I was blown away by my experience at this salon today! Without a doubt, this is the most beautiful and chic nail salon I've ever been to. The decor is simply adorable and about as girly as it gets. They have an incredible amount of polishes and gel polishes to chose from and many packages that are so indulgent and pampering! I felt the price was on point with other salons I've tried out in the area but the salon itself was so much nicer that I felt much more comfortable. All the nail technicians were young, adorable and so friendly. My manicurist offered fun recommendations on the colors I should try. The lone star is 100% for customer service... if you don't care about how you are treated, or how loyal customers are treated, then go ahead and enjoy the ambiance of this nail salon and ignore the staff/owner. Before I go into any details, I want it to be known that there are a minimum of 6 nail salons within 10 miles of my house, but I choose to go to this one because it is close to my yoga studio and I loved the idea of supporting a young entrepreneur. The salon is beautiful and I loved taking guests and family members there for special treats. I pay more for this luxury. One would think a combination of the loyalty and the extra price, one would receive at a minimum mediocre customer service. It's sad when salons lose sight of the sole reason of their existence- customers and their satisfaction. I am a mother of 3 (all under 5) and finding time to get in the salon is few and far between. My family and husband frequently purchase gift certificates for the occasional holidays (Mother's Day, birthdays, etc...) When I went to redeem one of the gift certificates, I was informed it was expired. It wasn't even the fact that the gift certificate was expired and they failed to redeem a portion of it towards a service- it was the way they treated a frequent customer. I was told if ONLY I could READ, I wouldn't have failed to notice the date. Excuse me? What is so wrong with a simple: "I sincerely apologize but we can't redeem this, it's already expired..." For all the times I have gone in and spoken with the owner, I expected a less brash reply to a simple mistake. I am only appalled at a business that revolves around the happiness of a customer to be so blatantly rude and ugly towards a regular. If this is how they treat a regular, I can only imagine how little they care about the one-timers. I'm sure they are doing well with all the wedding parties they get to care little about the individual person, but shame on them. The funny thing is, the git certificate was only for $20. Over $20, she lost a customer (and all my referrals/guests/family/friends) because of a lack of common courtesy and how to talk to a customer. read more

This nail salon is head and shoulders above most. I won't go anywhere else. I'm always happy with how my nails look but what sets them apart is how long it lasts. My last manicure lasted 2 weeks! A regular manicure, not gel or SNS. I don't know if it's higher quality polish, basecoat, or what but it works. They have a great selection of colors and I very rarely have to wait. Roswell location - I'm a little on the fence about this place. I went for my first visit a few weeks ago, as my usual salon was booked and I had a limited window as I was leaving town. This place happens to be close to my home, and the prices were fantastic, so I thought I'd give it a try. I went in on a Friday morning. I don't know if that had anything to do with the overall atmosphere or not. I had a nice, young gentleman doing my service, and he was pleasant and artistic. He does a lot of nail art and hand painting, and he's clearly quite talented. However, I couldn't help but notice that all of the staff seemed very young, and the "service" portion was a little lackluster. Nobody explained any of the services and sort of expected me to know what everything was, where to go, and how it worked. Perhaps a better word would be "professionalism." There wasn't a lot of it. The vibe was SO laid back, it sort of just seemed like a group of friends chillin' out at work. I'm ok with that if the service is tremendous. I'm not sure it was tremendous. It wasn't horrible either, but nothing really blew my socks off. For one thing, my pedicure, while pleasant, took a somewhat unhappy turn when the technician accidentally yanked off a piece of attached skin from the cuticle and caused me to bleed. Perhaps it's my paranoia, but I don't like to bleed at a nail appointment. Too many horror stories about germy tools and nasty infections. The technician didn't really seem to notice! I had to ask him, "Is that toe bleeding?" He acknowledged that it was, and he thought he was removing dead skin and it turned out it was live, attached skin. Oops! Granted, this was a mistake, and an honest one. Still, I would've felt a little better if he had shown SOME kind of concern or care regarding the situation. He sort of blew it off like it was no big deal, and that rubbed me the wrong way a bit. However, we did have a good rapport, and I decided it was best to just relax and go with it, as there was not much else I could do. I gave him a hard time about it with some gentle ribbing, and we moved on. Next was the manicure portion of the day. I was going with a gel polish on my real nails, and he was quite skilled at it. He did a lot of hand painting and detail, which was meticulous and time-consuming, and he did a nice job. My nails looked good. However, at the end, they talked me into an embelished design on one of the nails, and to be quite honest, I didn't love it. I can't blame them for that - it was my call - but I didn't really love the finished look. Still, he put a lot of effort into it and made every attempt to make me happy. I think I would've preferred to leave it less fussy, but that was on me. On the up side, I did have some rhinestones added to the nails, and he assured me they would not peel off. He was right! They lasted forever! At the end of the day, I paid less for all this work than I typically pay at my normal salon, which does no nail art of any kind. The work was good, and I was excited to find a place near home that actually can do true nail art! That's harder to find than it sounds! The down side was the overly laid back attitude and the "walked into a college dorm" vibe everyone gave off. Maybe Friday mornings are slow, but I expected to see people constantly manning the desk and a more professional attitude. Again, I will chalk this up to a casual Friday mood and give it another shot in the future. The skill level and prices are worth a repeat experience before making a final call. read more

Love this place!! We were visiting from out of town and after several weeks of wearing flip-flops my feet were in need of some serious TLC. I walked in about an hour before they closed and was greeted nicely and not rushed. The prices were great and there were several options for pedicures. They ranged from $22-58 dollars. I opted for the classic which was $27 with exfoliating massage and it was worth it. They never tried to upsell me anything!!!!!!!!!! That's a first. The salon was clean and pretty and everyone was very polite. When we come back for the Christmas holiday I will be sure to bring some other family members and have a little girls day there. My mom and I went to a nail salon less than 5 minutes from our house, opposed to the one we usually go to in Cumming, because we had errands to run in the area. Let me just say, we should have taken the drive to our regular place we've been going for years. Live and learn. Go with what you know. The decor makes it seem very fancy and nice but it was not a nice experience. We only wanted pedicures and initially were told we needed an appointment when there was literally 3 whole people in the nail salon. We got right in after that was acknowledged. The lady who did my moms pedicure was so nice and very friendly. The lady who did mine hardly spoke, looked pissed off the whole time, messed up my toe nail polish and made it look a mess (we could have done that at home for free..). So I then asked for it to be fixed and then the lady who did my moms nails said it was a clumpy mess because of my toenails. So it was MY fault. Go figure. I wanted to wait for my mom to be done and sit with her and my lady almost forced me to get up. Lucky I'm strong willed and said I would wait for my mom. And to top it all off, my mom asked for change for the tip and the owner asked us on the spot how much we wanted back, as to keep the ladies tips. That's unprofessional. At our nail place we get change back and hand the tips out personally. I know they work for tips so we tipped both but I honestly didn't think my lady deserved anything. They do a great job every time, no matter who you get there, so most of the time I do not make an appointment. Great place! Get a pedicure and manicure from here at least once a month, and my nails always come out awesome. They last really long, hence why I get them done only once a month! They do gorgeous designs and French tips, and are always up to date on trending nail art. They are really nice and also offer waxings and more! I have been going to their original location on crabapple for a couple of years now. I love the service. We have a great time. The salon is decorated so cute and girly. Very spa like. They always offer the latest trends in nail polish and acrylics. I have recently tried a new acrylic product called "dip it". A product you only find on the west and east coast, or in very high end salons. Chemical free and very strong. I have not broken one nail in 3 weeks.
