I've had the pleasure of attending two different events here, a wedding some time back and a Nutcracker Market event just recently. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, with ample parking. There's plenty of parking out front, and it looks like they're equipped for a valet as well if you need it, though anyone who reads my reviews knows I'm no fan of unnecessary valet services. The larger ballroom was absolutely perfect for the wedding setting, and from the looks of the set up they're flexible with you bringing in your own catering for the meal. The setups were fantastic and the dance floor has ample space given the seating available in the room. The smaller room off to the side has a nice reception feel to it, complete with a fireplace on the far wall and a bar area in the back. It seems like the perfect place to throw a smaller gathering or cocktail party. When we were there, they had about eight tables set up for vendors and half the room set off for Bayou City Ballet performances, but it never felt crowded. read more

I got to see this place as both a wedding and an event venue space. As for the wedding, I think couples will love the beautiful lush colors, chandeliers, and the large space in the ballroom. The wedding we went to was perfect and they generously accommodated both the bride and groom's culture's spectacularly with dancers from each respective culture and just the overall organization and cohesion of the event. When we went back there for the Nutcracker Market of Westchase, I was able to to see how they set up for a small convention. Gatherings, formal events, office celebrations, conventions of niche interests would find the smaller rooms appealing. We left right when we thought it was getting too crowded, but otherwise had a good time here. I've been here for two weddings so far, and they've both been beautiful. The venue is large enough to accommodate enough guests for Nigerian weddings. Which says a lot! Plenty of parking in the lot. Multiple ballrooms, which can allow for the wedding and reception to take place in the same venue. Enough counter space for a nice food spread and a built in space for an open bar. Nice decor in the hallways gives it a very classy feel. Also love the horse sculptures in the front. read more

If there was a 0 star I would rate this place a 0. This place is beautiful and elegant but don't let that fool you. They turn the AC off which makes your event super HOT. They charge so much and you will think they care about your needs but they don't. They have this bartender who is Rude and can careless about the event. He claims he has a license and if you don't agree with his service, he tells you he will call the police on you. HE IS HORRIBLE!!!! The salon will tell you that they will provide for cups but what they don't tell you is that there's a limit to how many cups they use. Everything they tell you before you sign is a lie. They pick up your cups from the tables and tell you there's not more cups clean so the guest don't have anything to drink almost all night. They won't even give you water even though you bought all the drinks ahead of time. Please don't waste your time and money on this place! If you want have have a beautiful event, avoid this place if you can! read more

This was not a bad venue for an event. Parking is easy and plenty. I attended an event that had about 200+ people in attendance. There was a sit down dinner and it was served, dance floor and room for a silent auction. The atmosphere and decor was very nice. Uplifting and bright vs. dark. The entry was very nice a kind of grand touch to it. Overall a nice place to host an event. Also there was a band and with all that you did not feel crowded. read more

I had my wedding here on June 13, 2016 and it was perfect for the budget that we had. I love everything about this venue! Chateau Crystale is an all inclusive type of venue meaning they have a lot of decorations that come with the package (chair sashes, centerpieces, overlays, napkins, etc). That definitely made my life easier because I did not hire a wedding planner. (**Side note, if I remember correctly this venue lets you bring in any vendor you like.You don't have to use any of their vendors). The ladies who work there are all extremely friendly and will definitely work with you and offer their opinions to ensure your wedding is beautiful. I've called them several times with questions/concerns and they were always professional and answered everything! In addition, the venue itself is amazing. Every time I step in the to take care of business, it still gives me the "wow" effect. The chandeliers in the main ballroom are breath-taking. For flowers, the venue works closely with Sylmar Creations by Silvia Gaona and I had Silvia take care of flowers for Chateau Crystale, bridal + bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres. Her prices are extremely reasonable so I highly recommend her! My cascading bouquet was absolutely gorgeous - everyone loved it! For food, the venue does have an in-house chef, a long menu to choose from, andddd you get a complimentary food tasting day. Every one of my guest said that the food was good, some even said that it was the best wedding food they've ever had! Our wedding was buffet style - it was the cheaper option but it did not take away from the elegance of the reception. On the day of your wedding, you get a floor captain. He is very attentive. Basically he stays the whole time and makes sure everything runs smoothly. He keeps you up to date with what's going on, he serves the bride+groom the dinner/cake to ensure that you eat, he gives his opinion on when things should happen if you're running behind on time, and etc. I was very pleased with our floor captain. At our wedding we did not have any alcohol, not even champagne. So during our toast/speeches, my husband and I had water and he brought us two cherry sprites without us asking! Now that's service! I also love how considerate everyone at Chateau Crystale is! There was a wedding the day before mine and I guess they had leftover flowers that guests did not take. So instead of throwing them away, I saw that those flowers were also used to help decorate my wedding! I knew because those flower colors were not the same as mine. They also did several other things to help make my wedding beautiful without me asking and I'm just so happy that they did! I would highly recommend having your wedding here. The prices are reasonable and service is superb. You won't regret it! (: Tip: Once you state the minimum number of guests you want and contract is made, you can't reduce your number, you can only add. Thus, if you want to invite 200 guests, maybe book for 160 and pay extra to get 200 plates (your goal anyway). Rather than pay for 200 and have only 160 show up. I hope that makes sense! read more

We had our wedding on May 2017. We worked with several ladies including Liz and Kelsey. Both were great to work with. The good: Affordable pricing. They have discounts during "off seasons". There is a disparity in pricing between the large and small room but it's mainly due to the size itself. Both rooms are gorgeous. We had our wedding in the smaller room and at the time we were scared it wouldn't be large enough to accommodate but it was very spacious. The food was actually surprisingly good and the quantity served per plate exceeded our expectations. The bad: exterior is not taken care of at all. Cracked floor and chipped paint throughout. While the guests might not always be outside during the wedding, it is something people see specially in the day time. There is a large yellow "emergency" strip right in front of the entrance that will sure show in your pictures. I do think that should be removed. Along with the exterior, there are certain things that while small are not taken care of. Chipped paint and lighting in the brides room. Lighting in the hallways highlight the flaws. The ballrooms themselves are nice but I would like to point out the small room is quiet dark because of the layout. Another bad (possible horrible) is that they never answer their phone. The best and borderline only way of communication is email (or in person). Email is not just seen by one person, it is viewed by the owner and his family (wife and children take care of the business). So just make sure you know it is not only going to the wedding coordinator. I really hope the owners stop being frugal and make these changes. Nonetheless, I would still recommend to someone looking for a budget friendly wedding. The service and planning throughout went better than we expected! read more

The venue was so hot during our wedding that our cake melted. We repeatedly asked to have someone turn down the air, but it never was. I walked around in a wedding dress and a paper fan and EVERYONE was sweating their butts off. Julie was super sweet, but they have another staff member, Lizette, who is pretty rude. It seems that she is the most experienced staff member there, but during our consultation, she seemed so annoyed that she was talking to us and any chance she got, she would have a "meeting" and not be able to sit down with us. Rather we would sit with Julie, who was so nice but knew barely anything about the venue. She would leave after almost every question to go ask Lizette. It's the middle of a pandemic. How busy could you possibly be to talk to customers for 30 minutes to make sure our wedding day is right?? So disappointing. Wow!! There's so much for me to say about Chateau since I started my wedding process with them in 2015. My wedding was beautiful! We paid for 100 guests with the all inclusive package in the small ballroom and got a reduced price as we put our down payment at their open house. We started the process with Nancy and everything was absolutely delightful. She helped me with getting our demo table and organizing the decor and color scheme early on as I dislike waiting for last minute planning. Unfortunately, for me and Chateau Nancy left and the transition to another planner/coordinator was pretty terrible. Multiple times I would email, call, email, and call but receive no response. It took them almost 2 months to take a payment I was trying to make because they would not reply to my emails. I will say that they were helpful in altering the floor plan when I had an extra 10 people rsvp, In the end I never felt comfortable with Lizzette or the other main lady but still my wedding was MAGNIFICENT!!! The food was so good that people asked us for the catering companies info. No one complained and some people even tried to eat before our Food Prayer as the appetizers proved to just open up their hunger. I heard that the apps did not go around for too long (where my Mother in law didn't even get any) which was a little disappointing but my husband and I didn't even notice. They brought up 3 platters worth of fruit and appetizers to our room for us and our bridal party to enjoy and relax. It helped so much and was so good. One other great thing about this place is that they let you bring in your own alcohol without a charge. Since, my Father in law and a couple of his friends brew beer it was really budget friendly for us. My Father in law and Dad did have to go to the front office twice to get a server because there was a line of over 15 people waiting on beer. They also only had 1 person to serve both beer and wine which was not very smart as they kept leaving to get more glasses or utensils. On the day of you get an event captain. I never met him but he did introduce himself to both our parents so that was very good. We were originally told he would be the one to greet us and bring our food to us. We did not get a day of coordinator since he was supposed to help us stay on track but since we never met him.... our whole schedule was off and at points I was quite frazzled. We never even got to try our own cake except for the small bite you get when you cut it as he never served us. Still, I heard he helped my Mom and Father in law so I guess he was around and helpful. I will definitely hold another event here if I ever have the need. Everything was amazing. Even with the hiccups in communication and follow through my day was magical. The venue was so beautiful, the food was so good, and all of the extra touches they add like the fake flowers by the fruit bar were amazing that people thought we spent over 30k on the venue and food when we did not. I love Chateau!!! The only thing I recommend to all brides is adding a day of coordinator to help both the Bride and Mother of the Bride. We both felt a little overwhelmed and things were a little hectic trying to get a drink in our hands, cake, schedule, etc Totally recommend!! Love the venue! Love the food and free tasting!! Love the all inclusive - so helpful for a bride who doesn't realize all of the little things that comes to planning a wedding especially on a medium budget. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!! read more

My best friend's wedding reception was July 23, 2016. The room decor exceeded everyone's expectations. The staff was very professional and extremely helpful. The appetizers...great; the entree...delish! The New Orleans pasta with chicken and shrimp was very flavorful. I must save the best for last.....KATHY is absolutely awesome! On May 28 2017 we had our wedding at chateau Crystale and we had an amazing time. The entire staff was beyond their duty helpful with suggestions and references with vendors and many other business items that were not even their responsibilities. Liseth was absolutely a star, wait staff was very attentive, the chef did a phenomenal job. Some of my guest introduced Mr. Johnny walker to one of the bartenders, the eldest one, I would recommend you keep an eye on him if you're in the business of keeping an eye on people while you're having a blast, personally I don't blame him for wanting partake in the shenanigans. Such a bad place. I liked the Venue, but the service was horrible. Lizzete was always moody, and she was very disrespectful at times with her attitude. They lied about the floor plan. I had people set up to walk in at 7 and venue informed me that every thing is ready but tables where all unorganized. Very unprofessional services. Kelsey was there to help but she couldn't do as much because Lizete and Jay were over her. They tried to rip me off with the linens and tables, but you have to be sure of what you are signing and paying for. Trust me these people are unprofessional and rude. DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful location with large elegant chandeliers. Staff was friendly. The appetizers were good. We had fruit, spinach artichoke dip, and shrimp cocktail. Unfortunately the main course was awful. Overcooked corn and rice. Weird gravy with capers on roast beef. Breaded chicken rolled over pieces of ham with cheese sauce was not impressive. Everything on the plate kind of tasted like frozen food. We weren't able to stay for dessert, so unfortunately that bad taste was what we left with. read more

I came in today to check out the facility for my clients and the coordinator was very rude. I understand people have bad days but it's terrible to see people not appreciative of their blessing. My brother in law had his wedding here last month and I can not tell you how amazing the staff was! Although I can not speak for the planning beforehand, during the wedding itself I was in regular contact with all the employees and they made it so much easier to execute the wedding. We worked with Cathy and I have no words to describe how amazing she is! Since our booking was until midnight, we started cleaning up at 11:30pm and Cathy personally came to stop me from doing anything and told me not to worry about anything at all until 12am! She approached me multiple nights throughout the night to make sure everything was going well, she made sure the bride and groom were served dinner and she even went out of her way to find to go boxes and packed dinner for the bride and groom so they could enjoy a late night meal if they'd like. Cathy and her staff did a wonderful job and I highly recommend this venue! read more
