I have been coming to this restaurant for approximately 30 years. Very friendly staff and the food is really good.

My husband used to frequent Chat n Chew as a teenager so we met our son, a student at UNA, for lunch today. The owner, who is the son of the original owners, is very friendly and our boys and I really enjoyed his walk down memory lane with my husband. We had a variety of items from the menu (burgers, onion rings, chili cheese fries and milkshakes). I believe there are 32 different milkshakes to choose from. The service was great and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back when we're in town again. read more

Chat n Chew is a nice little place to do what its name suggests, It's like the Taste T Freeze I had growing up as a kid in Indiana. Burgers, fries, hot dogs, fritters, ice cream, and many other scrumptious treats. Its a small family business and emphasizes customer satisfaction, and the owner is a super nice guy who will chat you up and knows most if not all of his customers by name. Very disappointing!!! We've been in Florence 6 months and realised the quality of food here is generally very low, at many of the places we have tried, sadly this place is no different. We were looking forward to eating here after people recommended it to us but we regret coming here at all.... I'm amazed by the reviews on here as our experience was far from good! On her way home my wife called in for lunch getting 2 'large' cheeseburgers a portion of onion rings and chilli cheese fries which all cost over $15. The burgers were quite small and didn't taste fresh or have a lot of flavour at all. The chilli cheese fries were some of the worst I've ever had, very little cheese and it seemed to be crumbled burger meat instead of actual chilli. The fries themselves were pretty decent. I love onion rings but these were not good, primarily thick solid batter completely drowning any onion inside with a taste wholey of old reheated batter I like to support local businesses and always encourage people to use independent places over the usual chains but on this occasion I wish we had gone elsewhere. We enjoyed Staggs Grocery store for good burgers, I would suggest that as a much better independent alternative. read more

I have been eating here since I was a child, and I'll soon be 45 years old. The location has changed, but not their amazing food or service. I LOVE everything they serve! !
