Our first time going to this restaurant today (7/24/25). Wanted to try some Indian food since it had been years since the last time.... So, read the restaurant's reviews online initially before trying it out for lunch. When we arrived for lunch, got greeted once we walked in and were seated at a table with menus. My family and I looked through the menu and ordered the Chicken Samosas to start off with as Appetizers. Then placed an order of the Chicken Curry (Medium spice level), Chicken Tikka Masala (Hot), one Chicken Biryani (Hot), 1 x Roti, 1 x Regular Naan, and 2 X Garlic Naan Bread. For drinks, we just had water. The Samosas came out first. Then 15 mins later, all of our bread and entrees came out. I think we were all expecting the food to be more flavorful and spicier. I don't know, but the Naan were bland, even the Garlic one. Wanted to taste the garlic flavor on that a little more, so that didn't meet our expectations. The Basmati Rice was also a bit on the bland side. Maybe it was missing the butter or salt that I was used to from other Indian restaurants? I'm not really sure.... The Chicken Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala were simply alright. Barely tasted any spiciness, so that seemed off. I mean, they weren't bad per se, just didn't meet our expectations of the usual Indian food that we were used to in the past. Overall: Food - 3 out of 5 Service - 3 out of 5 Another Con may be the Parking. If there are no spaces out in front available on the main street, you'll have to drive around the back to find Public Parking near the Police Station. read more

The food here is delicious! We do a lot of take out from this spot and highly recommend! Some of our favorites are their saag paneer, butter chicken, garlic naan, regular naan, and daal ... fish pakoras... the list goes on! Haven't had anything I didn't like here. Cheers! read more

A few weeks ago we ordered takeout from here. The food was delicious and I couldn't wait to try it again. I had company coming for dinner and ordered the food 20 minutes before the pick up time. My husband left to pick up the food, and 10 minutes later I received a message from the restaurant saying the order had been canceled. I received no phone call explaining what happened. Straight to the point, this is not authentic Indian food and their food does not reflect true Indian flavors. Their Butter Chicken dish tasted very unbalanced and lacked a good combination of the spices. Their Butter Chicken dish - lacked the mild sweetness - lacked the rich and balanced creamy texture. Their dish was very very creamy and buttery ; they need to correctly balance these ingredients in order to make this dish correctly. - lacked balanced tanginess - lacked aroma and balanced savoriness. The Chicken smelled bad and the dish was too salty. Also their Butter Chicken dish tasted much more like tomato sauce and a whole stick of butter which was very unsatisfying. The Chicken and the Garlic Naan were undercooked , which was very unpleasant. Butter Chicken dishes made in Canada taste much better than Chaska Bar & Grill's Butter Chicken Dish. My wife hates Indian food, so she'll usually only go to an Indian restaurant for my Birthday - Last night I took my wife, two daughters and one of their boyfriends here for the first time and we loved it. Even my wife quietly admitted it was one of the best meals she'd had in recent memory. The Naan was perfection, curries, saag paneer, butter chicken, tandoori grill and salad were all delicious. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. We loved this location in its' previous life when it was known as Augiri's Italian, and even more now as Chaska Indian. We'll be back! read more

So....I want to love this place. This location has had about 6 different restaurants over the years...Greek, Italian, etc. We are HUGE Indian food fans. The Achari? Wasn't very pickly. The butter lamb? a bit too sweet, and the saag paneer was a little off. We also got raita, garlic naan, and the samosa chaat. The latter was the most delicious. I'll try it again, but right now, just meh! I hope they make it. And...no vindaloo on the menu...WHAT????? read more

Strong recommend. So glad to have a great Indian restaurant in the area. The folks were nice and attentive, but not hovering. The servings were a good size, and priced appropriately. It's a comfortable space, and has ample seating. Especially grateful for the ample number of vegetarian options on the menu. read more

Food was very good. We ordered the Chicken Tiki Masala, chicken curry, butter chicken and Lamb Saag. Four of us shared. These came with a bowl of basmati rice for each of us. We also ordered the vegetable biryani and garlic naan, of course. We were asked the level of spiciness and all dishes were to our liking. Service was excellent. There were items that took a while to get but these were acknowledged and dealt with satisfactorily. Special mention to Chrystal who was an incredible host. Background music was just right lending to a nice and comfortable ambiance. I would give 5 stars, which I rarely do, if the prices were a bit lower. So I didn't find the servings of equitable value. Otherwise, it's definitely one to go to if ever you're in or near the Auburn area. read more

This spot is fantastic! The drinks are creative and tasty (especially the chaitini), and the masala fries are to die for -- truly one of a kind. Take out is great, and if you are looking for a nice evening, come here. I've been three times and can't wait to come for many more. read more

Excited to see another Indian restaurant in our area. This one is in the old Vinafera Restaurant. Nice decor with minimal changes from prior venue. Has a nice patio but not sure if they are going to use it. Free street parking and some public parking in the back area. The service was pretty good but a little slow in clearing the table and not very warm and friendly. The meal started with complimentary papadum with 3 sauces, a nice touch. The food was good but a little salty for us. 1 on a 3 spicy scale gave us a perfect slight burn for spice wary people. The food was flavorful but there are limited vegetarian options--many vegetarian dishes with lentils, chickpeas but not many vegetables. The achari chicken was tasty. The karahi paneer had lots of cheese. Baingan Bhartha was good (but I like it better leftover at home because I add roasted veggies to it). Be aware if you need more rice, it costs $5.59 for an additional bowl. Excited to see desserts but no kheer (rice pudding). Rasmalai was good but presentation was lacking--could have used a few almonds sprinkled on top to make it pretty. I would come here in the future for a nice sit down dinner or to eat outside if they open the patio, but I will continue go to the Indian restaurant on Main Street for take out. read more

I ordered food online and received a text when the food was ready for pickup. I sent my husband in to get the food. He said they needed to see the texts verifying beyond already having my name and phone number. Once they gave us the food and we returned home, it was not what was expected at all. Not authentic in my opinion. The butter chicken taste like sweet tomato soup from a can with no spice which I requested medium. We also ordered chicken saag spice level medium which that was not good. It was mild with no flavor. The mulligatawny was poorly done and not spicy as requested with mushy rice. The orders did not specify if they come with a side of rice so we bought two sides. The 4 sides of rice with mixed veggies in it was not good. The lamb biryani was not enough for the price. The rice was mushy , there was no presence caramelized onions but 5 pieces of lamb that was chewy. In total I spent 80 bucks on supporting a business but the food was not worth the price. I would not spend another 80 there again until the food quality improves. Nation of spices is way better and you get the amount and fresh quality that matches the price. Chaska you can't cut corners on freshness and expect people not to notice. I would give the overall meal a 3.8 out of 10 the garlic Naan was excellent, jarred garlic but overall great. read more
