I've used this branch for the last 4 years and rarely, if ever, does anyone greet you, welcome you, converse, or in any way acknowledge you as a customer. My most recent transaction involved a wire transfer and while that went well, there was an associated fee that could have been avoided had the CSR simply informed me of it. The Manager was kind enough to straighten out the situation, (a week later I went back in) but before seeing him, I had to wait.
When you get to Chase, you are supposed to sign a sheet of paper so that the Customer Service Reps see you in proper order. There was no sign in sheet and the CSR already had a customer in his office, so I sat. I sat for 25 minutes while the CSR and the lady he was helping chatted. (doors are open, you can hear pretty well) At one point, she answered her phone and was talking to her friend about lunch. The CSR left his office, walked past me never making eye-contact, not saying "I'll be with you in a moment" or anything. He went through a door behind the tellers, re-emerged and went back into his office where the lady was still yakking about anything but banking business. I went up to the teller and asked if there was anyone who can help me. I got a surly "We only have 2 bankers here today" so I sat back down. That's when the Manager was finally free to help me.
I appreciate giving your customers the time they need and the benefits of your expertise, but this was just plain frustrating. Customer service at this branch and positive customer interaction are not high on the institution's must-do list. I will forgive a lot if I am treated like a worthwhile customer. When ignored and treated with disregard...not so much. Again, the Manager was helpful, but honestly, no one else was. read more
