This Chase Bank branch looks ok from the outside, but the inside is kind of dark and dumpy. The atmosphere doesn't inspire banking confidence. It's as if Corporate forgot about this one. The decor and furnishings are dated. The windows appear all foggy or dirty as if they haven't been cleaned in years. Maybe they're designed to be like that. Chase ATMs are the slowest I've used. They take forever to "think" and too many transaction steps, about double TD Bank or Wells Fargo. Teller line can get long and the bank seems short staffed. The only thing I like about this branch is the enclosure for two ATM machines since some branches only have one. After hours you need a card to get inside, or tailgate someone. The last time I used it when the inside was closed, a grungy vagabond with his belongings was sitting inside cooling off. read more

The bank ATMs do not work properly. They do not accept my Chase bank card ever. I went into the bank and spoke with three different employees about the problem over months of this issue. The first said she would "submit a repair request" - still nothing happened. The second told me there was nothing on my record about it and she'd never heard of such a thing. I tried to make a deposit with her and she screwed that up by trying to deposit my cash into someone else's account apparently by accident. I caught the issue when she asked me to sign and I noticed the account number wasn't mine. The third person I spoke with told me it was clearly my card that was the problem not their ATM and they couldn't help me. He told me to call the number on the back of the card. I called Chase and they told me there was nothing wrong with my card and to just go to a different ATM. The ATM machines in Napa work perfectly fine with my card so I go there now. read more

So it appears that this branch is extremely understaffed, and one could maybe even say improperly staffed?? On Friday afternoon, they only had 2 tellers (one which was stuck with some issue for at least an hour, which meant there was only ONE person that could help out clients). However, there were 3 bankers that I assume are for personal or home or something different, because they had their own desks. One was primarily guiding traffic, the others appeared to disappear once they finished with their clients. The bankers that I had interactions with were very nice and attentive and super helpful (which is why I'm giving the review 3 stars), but CHASE is failing these poor people because of course the masses are gonna pin the blame on them and not because they're understaffed read more

I worked with Joanne several times. I was cutting lots of bills off or down to save money as a new mom and told her I wanted to close my biz checking acct which was $15/mo to help me save a bit more per month. Then it resulted in my personal checking acct going up from $0 to $25/mo; it was an original WAMU free checking account, it should not have happened. I came back, asked for help and was told that she didn't know why my grandfathered acct wasn't free. I asked her to close my personal checking and she said they'd look into the business checking for me, that they would still be able to re-open it. Two months later she said she didn't know about it still and started asking them to look into it again... so I hear back from Kristin at Chase's Complaints dept. Kristin says that I had to go in and get an employee to print out all statements to review when the change was made... so like years and years of months and months of statements. I said "Okay, I'll do that". I drove to Chase, thought about driving an employee insane, called Kristin back and asked her to help me narrow the date range so I wouldn't inconvenience an employee so greatly with printing years of statements. Kristin said she'd worked at Chase about 18 years, was there for the WAMU changeover and suddenly remembered that new linked business checking accounts were created with the intent of getting WAMU customers to sign away their free accounts in exchange for free personal+discounted biz.... so yay, without providing the actual hardcopy proof, the unofficial maybe was the conclusion of the complaint department. So I met with Joanne last July 22nd one last time. By this time I'd lost both my accounts and only had shared checking with my husband and I asked about reopening the business checking as she promised...NOPE, she said it had been too long. I reminded her that she had told me to wait for them to investigate the free checking account, that over two months passed because of delays on Chase's part... nothing, no response, she was just sorry. I was infuriated for months. Literally her never knowing what effect any choices would have, never caring to keeps things on track in a timely manner, and then shrugging it all off was upsetting. So I love a new bank I found and am in the process of moving all my accounts away. I've been banking with them most my life and never felt so casually screwed over. Most things are a small deal to me, messed up dinner order, wrong item delivered, rude service, all that is just water off my back. But ignorance of her job, extended service delays, and not knowing how account changes would work out? No, not acceptable. read more

Love this bank, almost as much as I loved my credit union. I don't fill out forms any more (and when I do its almost always wrong) I just tell the teller what I want to do and he/she fills out what I need. A couple of times I forgot my Id and debit card and another teller identified me ( she really knew me too!!) and I was able to take care of business. There have been a few issues that were promptly taken care of, about 90 percent to my satisfaction. That's not a bad percentage rate all and all. Yeah, a bank is just a bank. Its the people who work there that give it life. Thank you people of Chase back for making my experience painless. read more

Epic lines on the weekend. Talking about in the ATM area. Every time. They need to hire more tellers or open on Sundays.

I would give zero stars if I could. The teller refused to answer basic questions, like what is the status on a check being cashed. I asked to talk to the manager and was told that security would be called if I did not leave. Absolutely horrendous. I strongly advise you to stay away from this bank. The people here don't care about you. I don't understand how the manager of this bank still has a job given all of the terrible reviews.... oh, that's right, Chase could care less about customer service or reviews. This review isn't about the customer service. I know just about everyone that works there and my needs are always met. I'm hoping this review will help fix the problem at this branch. I've noticed a decline with tellers over about a year now. There's never enough tellers to handle the follow of customers. I've stopped coming in so often, but when I have to, it's always a 20 minute wait. First, Chase got rid of the merchant line which sucks for me as a business owner. I barely come into this branch because of that and the lack of tellers. I hate that now I prefer to use an ATM now and fight with it when it spits my bills back out. The back and forth erks my nerves. But today,,I had to go inside and I stood in line for 20 minutes as I watch two tellers sit together at a closed window talking to each other. This is what made me write this review. Why couldn't they have been in the back? Anyway, it seems like this is the norm at my ex-favorite branch. read more

Horrible. Rarely is there ever more than one teller. The last time I went to get a replacement card, I sat in the lobby with no acknowledgment for 10 minutes. I had to stand in the teller line (6 ppl waiting, 1 teller) and she told me to go back and sit in the lobby and wait. Sat around for another 15 minute with no acknowledgement. Customer service sucks here. Thank God I'm not a chase member, I stood in line for 45 minutes with a bunch of people on Saturday morning while 4 of their 5 workers helped one person with "travelers Checks" One worker said she could open her station but only do deposits.. here's a tip. Try opening another station that CAN do more than just deposits, and if you see irritated customers in line. Address or try to calm the situation. The workers here look like they just got off the couch or just woke up and acted like a bunch of mute and Deaf people.. or maybe that's their way of trying to ignore a sitaution obviously none of them are able to handle. Use only the ATM machines here if necessary. They hired this crew from the Special Ed department. read more

This branch has bad customer service. I came in to open a checking account. Wait was 30 minutes and there was only 1 person ahead of me and 2 bankers. When this Filipino girl with a little girl voice finally came over to help me, she brought me to her desk and left for another 10 minutes. She came out of te office laughing. Lovely. She opened me an account and didn't care to explain terms and agreements. Good thing I read them online before coming in. This girl just left such a sour taste that in the middle of opening the account, I decided to not go through with opening at this branch. Definitely wasted my time. Only thing I would recommend is just to use the ATM. This place needs to learn customer service. read more

Haven't had a bad moment at most of the Chase branches that I've been too. Yes, there is a bit of a wait but you can expect that at many of the other branches as the last reviewer mentioned. The personal banker that I was dealing with answered all my questions and even helped me out in transferring accounts when that wasn't the reason for my visit.
