Having had good experiences at my SchoolFirst Branch in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley, I knew this branch was not the exception. MARTIN, the teller 3290, warmly greeted me as I walked in, having no other patrons in front of me. Martin has the unique ability of asking how your day was, as he quietly carries out the transaction. His charismatic nature in holding a conversation and actually being genuinely excited in my life made me smile. I can tell when people are genuine and Martin was one of the best and should appropriately be commended. He made me feel better walking out of the branch than walking in! One Sunday I deposited my rent money so I could pay on the first. I'm a server so I make money in…read moretips and it's my livelihood. Their ATM machine broke - that can happen, but how they handled it blows my mind. They refunded my money and then weeks later took $800 out of my account. They wouldn't tell me why for 5 days. I went a whole weekend without being able to use my debit card. Finally they said that when they counted the cash in the BROKEN ATM they couldn't find my cash. They won't check the cameras after I gave them the exact time I was there with a wad of cash! Their fraud department has no sense of urgency at all and seems annoyed that I'm calling to get my money back. My entire family is pulling out and we are taking them to small claims. I've changed banks obviously. Another strange thing was there was a man working on the ATM. When he saw it broke he gave me his card acting like he wanted to help me and he works on the ATM. Turns out he just wanted to take me out to dinner and said "I thought you were mature" when I denied him. A teller told me that the branch outsources their ATMs to an outside company. Either the bank or the ATM guy messed up but I'm a victim in this case and need my money back.
