Worst bank Manager ever. Did not have the common sense to bring me into his office to talk about my business account instead airing my personal account information for everyone to here. Then, could not resolve my problem nor tried to help resolve my problem. Told me I didn't open my business account there I opened it in Indianapolis and that I would have to have them help me. Told him I was closing my account and said ok. Never tried to keep me as a customer and resolve the problem. Looked like he was high or drunk. Idiots! read more

This is the second time in one week that I have been to this location. I scheduled an appointment online to establish an estate account after the passing of my father. Not only was the associate LATE, but when he walked in, he walked right past me-no apology for the tardiness. We proceeded into his office-no introduction, no offer of a handshake, none contact...no condolences-just straight to the computer to start clicking away. After some moments of awkward silence, we begin to go through paperwork. I was told to come back to sign documents. I arrived again, EARLY for my 3pm appointment and he again is not ready! He has a client in the office. I am sitting directly outside his door so he can surely see me as I can see him. He didn't pause to greet me OR to acknowledge my presence and the fact that I am here READY FOR OUR APPOINTMENT-but you again are late. I really don't understand the level of unprofessionalism...but I'll wait. I would give this bank a negative 100 if I could. I took my 87 year old mother to withdraw a few thousand dollars from her account at a local branch and they pretty much harassed her because she did not have a cell number to send a security code. I gave them my number and they said they could not accept it. We called the corporate office and they said the branch could have changed the number by asking a few security questions. Then they said they needed another form of identification because one was not enough with her face, address and name. Manager and lousy teller who hates her job anyway, would not accept a medicare or insurance card as a second form of identification. Long story short they pretty much said they could not help us and we left with no money. IT IS HER MONEY. WE ARE DONE WITH CHASE. They are inflexible if you need large amount of cash. Since when is 5000 a lot of money with the economy today. Get with the times!!!! read more

We went to the bank, and we were greeted instantly. I hand my mom with me, and she uses a walker. The representative, Mr. Bussey, was extraordinary helpful. He helped us righr away, and made us feel welcome right away. We did a simple transaction, but it was his willingness to answer all of our questions. Often times you feel rushed, but we never felt that way. His customer service was genuine and sincere. That is so important, especially when it comes to money. The worst! Went in there today for a notary that should take about 30 seconds. I do a ton of banking with Chase. Said they can't get me in anytime today, I can just make an appointment for down the road sometime. Even though there are notaries sitting right at their desks. Asked if any other Chase could get me in. Said I could go drive around to other branches if I felt like. Disgusting service! read more

Absolutely the worst location by far! First, there is no drive up at this location which is very inconvenient! On top of that, their ATM's never work, so now you're forced to go inside. Staff is nice, but incompetent. The rep I spoke to had no idea what to do. He then got frustrated and told me he had an appointment in so I had to go sit and wait for another Rep to help me figure out my situation. What? How about train your staff before they take on customers! I almost closed all my accounts that day. Will not be back to that location. read more

I opened an checking account over an year ago, and was told I had an balance from 2008 or 2009. They told me that they will waive it so I can open my account. (At the time I didn't need an savings, because I had another bank) Now that I decided to use chase as my primary account. I wanted an savings with them. Now I've been told I have to pay the balance before moving forward with my savings. If I had opened it at the same time I wouldn't have had to pay an balance. I thought once something is waived that it will be waived. Didn't really like the outcome I'll be looking for another bank. read more

I have never had any problems with this branch. Everyone is very sweet and helpful right as soon as you walk in the door. They are not pushy and if you have anything you need done that you really don't want others to hear about or have a lot of cash to walk out of the branch with they are very discrete about it. I used to bank in another town before I moved back here and it always bothered me when they would count out my money loudly. That is nobody's business but ours. So thank you Schererville branch for being respectful. read more

I have banked with Chase for many years, but I just started a job in Schererville, so I used this branch to deposit my payroll check. Astonishingly, they actually DEPOSITED MY CHECK IN SOMEONE ELSE'S ACCOUNT. I didn't notice this until I got back to work and checked my balance. They didn't even bother to make sure that my name matched the name on the account. I actually withdrew money at the same time, so they also gave me money from someone else's account. I called customer service, and after hanging up on me twice, they said they would "research it within 48 hours". This was Friday. On Monday, I went to the branch, where they were incredibly abusive, rude, and insulting. While they ultimately fixed it, they didn't apologize at all and were so completely unprofessional that I am still in shock. After speaking with my new coworkers, I learned that this branch routinely makes errors like this and is so horrible to do business with that nobody bothers with them. Also, the regional manager that I called had his secretary put me on hold for half an hour before promising to call back, which he never did. read more
