Since Karla Estelle left this branch, the management has not been the same. There has been an influx of assistant managers, tellers/customer service reps, who have worked there since Karla's departure, and then it shows the lowering of the bar. I finally finding my way back to this branch because of Maricela and the way she transact with her customers I work and travel throughout the bay area and have banked over a dozen of your branches. Although, San Ramon is the closest branch to me, I often will go to other branches just to avoid that branch, but now that you have that shining light there, I will frequent my hm branch more often.

Oh that's right, they are hidden all the way in the back after you gear a left and then another left. The ATM machine had malfunctioned and never spit out my money after entering pin. I went inside to seek help. Encountered 2 people and 2 entirely different attitudes. 1. Mr. Dwain was courteous, professional and patient. He took his time to explain the banking system in 2020 which he really didn't have to but yet he did (perhaps he saw steams coming out of my head).. 2. Asian teller, impatient and imperious. Yes i understand the legality of using my husbands card but it was not necessary to talk over me and raise your voice repeatedly. I don't need lecturing, just listen first and then a calm explanation of what you can or can not do will suffice. It was a negative experience but its saving grace was Mr. Dwain Jefferson for his professionalism and kindness.

Clearly the people who work in this branch don't know what that word means. It's also unbelievably unprofessional the way the employees here dress. They all look like a bunch of slobs. For a bank that's really bad. There is such a thing as business casual but these people are super casual and sloppy. I would NEVER trust anybody working at a bank who can't even present themselves in professionally in what they wear. Pathetic! Lastly, CLEARLY Wells Fargo doesn't care. Short Story: They bounced (returned) a check for $370k after being told in person that it was…read morelegitimate and there was plenty of funds to cover it. Long Story: I am the trustee for a trust. I went into the San Ramon branch on 11/7, the day after the final deposit (wire) into the trust checking account. The money was already in the account and ready to be distributed. I told the staff that there would be 2 checks (debits) coming in to that account for ~$370k each. I told them who they were for and, since there would be no more income for the trust, to close the account when both checks cleared and the balance was zero. I told them that I was heading out of the country in 2 days and wouldn't be available for a week. I asked if they needed anything more and was told they put the notes into the account and all was set. I was then called the next day to approve one of the checks. I told them I already did that and there would be one more check and make sure it is processed. Then, while I was out of the country and no phone access, I received an email from my office saying that Fremont Bank needed to talk to me. I had to pay $30 for a phone connection. It was after hours and they don't have an answering machine or service. So, called again the next morning and was told they bounced (returned) the check already because I wasn't immediately available to confirm the check. These people are incompetent. While I had phone service I called the corporate headquarters and filed a complaint. I was promised someone from HQ and San Ramon would call me back. No one ever did. When I returned, I spent another $30 to wire the money to the beneficiary (they didn't want me to do that but now had no choice). I used the Danville branch this time. It took about 30 minutes to get the wire handled and was assured that they would close the account as soon as the wire went through. Today, I received a call from the San Ramon branch demanding that I make a deposit or they would close the account. I would use a stronger word than incompetent but Yelp would likely not allow my review. Don't use Fremont Bank unless you want to waste your time.
