We recently had a larger check deposited which we knew would take a extra day to clear due to the holiday. It cleared after midnight this morning but with that said we had funds already in the account previously so either way we had no issue waiting. Now it's 6pm and we are negative several thousand dollars. When we called the first time the rep said the check was returned due to discrepancy. Okay but even then we should still have what we already had in the account available. The rep wrote it off as "we made several payments the day before and that's why it's negative" which was absolutely wrong. We hung up and recalculated the payments we made and it left us with the amount we already knew was in there. I called back again and the rep Carlos said they reversed the check to hold for the same reason the previous rep stated. I asked him why they doubled the amount of the check because they technically took the money back twice. He said they do that to hold and it should clear over night. Here's my issue. What if I was at dinner or the store and that was my only means to pay. They took double the funds rather than the original amount to hold. That makes absolutely no sense. This has me irrate. I want real answers and not the customer service answers. read more

This location is incredibly frustrating, specifically the ATMs; they're broken more often than not. The last three times I've been there, with weeks/months in between visits, one or both of their ATMs were "not working." I can understand it happening once or so... but literally three times in a row, with weeks in between, it's ridiculous read more

We made an appointment to notarize a Living Trust Deed for Maricopa County. Brenda Herber at the Queen Creek, AZ Chase Bank refused to notarize the document due to the Notary Acknowledgement that Maricopa requires for notary to certify under penalty of perjury i.e. that my husband and I provided her satisfactory evidence that we were who we were (i.e. our drivers license) She said it was Chase banks policy that she couldn't sign something that put her under Penalty of Perjury. I then asked to speak to a manager, the person she brought out (did not get her name) said that she couldn't force Brenda to notarize the document as she is notarized with the state and not with Chase. So who is telling the truth? Is it bank policy or is that Brenda doesn't understand her role and responsibility as a notary? And why not state the provisions on which one can get notary service on the appointment site. I've been a customer of Chase for over 40 years with multiple accounts and would expect better than "You can go to UPS and get it notarized". In this job market, I'm sure their are more customer centric employees that Chase could employ. On the upside Rueben previously helped us with changing our bank accounts to our Trust and was very professional, personable and informative. read more

We had an appointment set for 11am to set up a joint account. We sat in their waiting room for over 40 min after they told us it would be 5 min, no we are sorry for the wait. There were multiple people sitting around doing nothing. Even another banker came up and said you're waiting for David correct? Then went back to her desk. She could have helped us but clearly did not want too. I have worked in the hospitality industry for many years. I understand David was helping someone, however their was multiple people there that could have assisted us but they couldn't be bothered. We went to the desk to say we were leaving. The lady then said you want to reschedule? Instead of saying let me see if we can get you with someone else. I guess I should have looked at the ratings before I waisted my Saturday morning. read more

Queen Creek branch of Chase is horrid thier reviews speak volumes. They really could care less about you, your business, or the mutli-millions in cash you have on deposit with them. Chase bank as whole is good, the main issue is a few bad apples in the Queen Creek branch, i know drive further away to do business to avoid the mess that is the Queen Creek branch the banker initials BH who is mentioned several times in the previous reviews really needs to be checked and she is causing a lot of negative vibes in this branch..... not to mention these negative reviews. read more

As other reviews state they expect you to make an appointment to even discuss your accounts. What's the point of a branch if you can't help me when I need it?? How about you hire more staff? If I could give them negative stars I would. Steve Faust made an appointment with me and even sent me a reminder email, but marked it wrong on his own schedule. When I got there, after rearranging my entire day to be there in time, he told me he had another appointment and didn't even apologize or offer to squeeze me in. I had a simple paper to sign that he was supposed to prepare before I got there. This is not the first time I've received the WORST service from this branch. It's like nobody cares. Due to many complications I had my account frozen (not my fault but it was unavoidable) the banker Vanessa and manager helped in every way they could and made sure I was able to have any way possible I am very thankful for them. Tellers were quite helpful in getting me a cashiers check even though I do not bank here. The experience I had definitely has me questioning my decision for online only banking. Sure, the rates are nice, but no brick and mortar makes it quite the pain in the rear end getting things done. read more

If I could give zero stars I would--do not bank with Chase at any location. They see any transaction in your accounts they deem to be suspicious and they will freeze all accounts and amounts regardless of transaction amount. Have been banking with them for years--as of yesterday my accounts are frozen and I now have no way to pay my mortgage and other bills due on the 1st. Their response--we can't help you until our fraud unit completes it's investigation--no timeline, no concern for my situation. read more

I have gone in several times for quick transactions (wire transfers, notaries etc) I have been turned away EVERY TIME because they want me to make an appointment. I have been in the banking industry for 10 years and the company I worked for NEVER would have allowed that to happen. I get the excuse they are understaffed, but I don't understand how they can be understaffed throughout the whole year??? I've been to this location once before and had Cody, he was awesome. But aI went in a couple days ago to change my last name on my debit card and the greeter told us it would be a 20 minute wait, which was fine. But we waited 1 hour! There were only two people assisting customers and one of them was joking around with a family of teens girls the entire time. I wanted to leave but there waiting room was filled up and we were next. When we finally got helped the guy (Ruben I believe) he was very unprofessional. I had to say hello to him, I asked him a question and he ignored me and was just staring at his computer. He was unsure of what he needed to complete my name change. He wasn't personable at all he was quiet the entire time. And at the end I asked him if he can set me up for military banking and he did but he didn't know half of the benefits. I received a letter in the mail listing the benefits I would get and when I asked him he told me it only waived the fees of the account (which is not all it does) overall I will try to avoid going back to this location. read more
