They acknowledged to me over the phone that they don't have a system for detecting whether a check has already been cashed. Therefore, they stated that they would theoretically cash a check an unlimited number of times. I was shocked! I now have to file a fraud claim through them to get the money back from the checks that they let go through twice. It could take up to a month for me to be refunded the money from their mistake. Once this is resolved I'll close my account. I did file a complaint against them with the Federal Reserve.

Later that evening I checked my balance on line and it was not showing like it normally does. At least I had my little paper receipt. The bank itself advised me to open the money market account to protect large deposits and balances. I then transferred it to the proper account.
