The service is very good here - I've mostly only worked with the tellers. David is great-he always remembers who I am and is very helpful. I've been coming to this branch for years always treated me well most of the staff and you actually know me. My name always greet me when I come in and are very helpful even if I do have a problem majority of the time as a whole I'm not very happy with Chase as they have a lot of stupid policies but when it comes to customer service at this particular branch, they are awesome. read more

This is so weird it is funny. Long time Chase customer. Decided to open JP Morgan brokerage account [they own Chase]. Transferred money from my Chase savings to the JP Morgan account online. The next day went to check account and my access was blocked. Called and was told the transfer was suspicious and they were closing all my accounts. Went to the bank officer who called their security line and was told the same thing including "Can't tell you why" "You can't go online to catalog your direct deposits and routine payments to financially prepare your next bank" [silly me for not keeping hard copies of all my statements all these years for IRS purposes] "No we aren't giving you a check - we are locking your account for 10 days - then you will get your check in the mail." I'm not OC rich but I am pretty much rest of the country rich and if Chase ever sees another dime from me it will be by mistake! read more

This place sucks. I opened a joint account with my husband here in December 2015 and we were helped by a guy named Allan Gill who seemed super cool and attentive and helpful. He had told us that our check books would get sent out in a couple weeks but weeks went by and we never got anything in the mail. He had also given us his business card and said to call him anytime and he could help us with any issues but when I called I was told that he was on vacation for a few weeks and they didn't know if he was even coming back. I ended up talking to a man who checked and apparently the order to send out the checkbooks was never placed. He said he would expedite the check books and apologized but was extremely condescending and had a lot of attitude. I asked to speak with the manager and he said that he was the manager and told me that actually he was extremely helpful to me and he said he was doing me a big favor by expediting it (despite the order never being placed and us being given false information on the type of customer service we would receive here). I forget if his name was Damon or Daniel but a week or two went by and I called to see if our checks had been mailed since he said it was expedited and we still hadn't received anything by February. I told the woman on the phone who I spoke with and that he was the manager and she told me the person I spoke to wasn't the manager/was a bank associate and that someone else was the manager. I'm mixing up which was Daniel and which was Damon but the names are correct. So basically the employee lied so he didn't have to get his manager on the phone. I don't know if Allen/Allan or Daniel/Damon works there anymore but the guy who lied about being the manager was super rude and condescending and the person who helped us opened our account went M.I.A. for a month or two after saying to contact him any time if we had any issues. They don't care about the customers at all and will lie to you so they won't get in trouble with their bosses and do the bare minimum to help you because they don't want to deal with people that they made mistakes with. Don't go here! Stay away! read more

Withdrew cash. This time I used my debit card. The only odd part is that now I have to tell the teller how much which before I wrote on the withdrawal form. I felt a little awkward saying it out loud. This had no impact on the rating. Rating is just what I expect out of Chase: in, transact, and out. Service is courteous, as usual. Place is clean. I like this bank because it has a drive up ATM. I dont like this bank because I couldnt figure out how to use that ATM, lol The picture on the ATM tells you to put your card in flat. Well, you need to put it in sideways, and it doesnt say remove it, so you dont know if you leave it, remove it, which side goes in which way.... It took me about 10 tries. Perhaps I was having an off day, ha ha, but seriously.... it wasnt a good time. They also charge $3 to withdraw money if you are not a Chase member. Which I am not. read more

Went in to cash a small check on my 30 minute lunch break. Both tellers that were available were helping one customer, they said they'll be with me in a minute. Time went by, and even the customer apologized since he saw more people coming in and waiting to be helped. As he apologized the female teller did a gesture that showed to me that all the other customers in line can wait. I left unsatisfied, check not cashed and by the time I'm off work the bank will be closed. read more

I like this branch the people are always nice and it makes me feel so comfortable to walk in to do my transactions unlike any bank I have been to. Wells, BofA and so on argg. Their ATM is very easy to use too. It's funny how someone can have such a hard time on it, when I used it it tells you step by step how to withdraw cash and deposit my checks. The bank lacks understanding of customer service. The tellers at this branch and the managers are not helpful unless you fit the profile. Not really had issues at other branches. This one just sucks. Asking questions is like talking to an atm machine. read more

I came in to this branch after my online account had been compromised by an unknown source - fraud - and Allen was swift in explaining the issue, relating to me, and finding a solution. All in all I ended up opening a new account but I was just very happy with the customer service. Also, as a bonus he stayed 35 mins after they had already closed helping me fix the issue. ZERO STAR based on my experience today trying to open a new checking account. Walk in at 9:02am right after it opened. No customers yet, only 1 teller and 2 guys in suits in a cubicle in the corner. Was told that it'll take 1/2 hr to open the account. I asked why. Teller went to talk to the guys in suits, ran to the back of the bank, came out and told me that "we don't have a banker right now, he doesn't come in till 9:15". So that's why it takes 1/2 hr, 15min to open the acct AND 15min to wait for banker to come in. Fully understand that this IS a bank and they're entitled to bank's hours. If the sign says OPEN, it should be open for business to SERVICE customers, instead of bankers in suits in a cubicle who are completely oblivious to SERVICING CUSTOMER NEEDS. I'll be opening my new account with CITIBANK or WellsFargo. read more

As I moved to northern Irvine, I wanted to find the good branch of Chase for me. This branch is less busy and has enough parking spaces. The most important part is the people. Cashier and private client bankers are very professional and friendly. Also they have English-Korean bilinguals...I guess 3 or 4 Korean bankers are there and they are fluent of English. I met James Lee and he helped me to open a business checking and chase ink business preferred credit card. James speaks Korean very well. He will understand 90% of Korean or more maybe. If you're a Korean especially, find James and do your business with him. I heard that he is off on every Tuesday. Came in on a Saturday regarding a savings account, waited less than 5 minutes for someone to help me and my mother out. Jeffrey Liu was the person who spoke with us and was very helpful. My mother had several questions and he answered them all clearly and politely. Very pleased! read more

Horrible! We just came back to chase after going to another bank. Chase the company isn't the issue it's this branch. First of all no one greeted us or an older gentleman but then I noticed that other people were being greeted. It dawned on me that only the Asian customers were being greeted! No one said anything to us. We signed in because we knew the drill but still no one said anything to us. The older gentleman (non Asian) started getting confused because he saw that they were helping everyone else but us and him. He started to get upset and we started to ask what was going on as well. We were then told "is this the only time you can get this done?" As if they wanted us to leave! I've been to numerous chase banks all over California and even back east and I've never experienced anything this bad. It was like they didn't want to acknowledge us and when we all started complaining then they acted as if they didn't want to help us. So finally we are able to see a banker. But what a huge waste of time that was. She didn't ask any questions she acted as if she knew what we wanted. What we wanted was two debit cards and to add me to the account. So I grab the one card because she had to call in to find out that she couldn't give my husband a debit card and I wanted to get our two small children out of the waiting room. I threw the card in my wallet without looking. I was so annoyed. So we go to del taco to get food and I hand the guy the card which is blank! No name on it or Visa logo! The guy says we tried running the card but it doesn't work! Wtf?!? Anyway, it was a nightmare on top of being super discriminatory and a giant waste of time. I understand that the demographics of that shopping plaza is mainly Korean but this is america, a giant melting pot and it was just unbelievable that in 2017 this behavior is still practiced. Do not go to this branch if you are not Korean! You won't be helped, you will be treated coldly and they won't know what they're doing anyway. read more

This chase has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Not only did they completely deny me service but they refused to cash my child support check from my ex husband who happens to be a chase private client account holder. I had been cashing these checks here for months and have had numerous conversations with the managers Damien and Valerie. In December they suddenly decided that their policy was cashing checks of Non customers had to be in the amount of $2500 or less. January I go in like previous months with 2 separate checks and then suddenly their policy was less than $1000. They refused to check the account it was drawn off of that shows proof I've been cashing the same checks for almost 7 years now and the supposed manager A. Gil said he had never seen me or spoken to me before even though he's helped me numerous times. They were rude and refused to get a manager. I believe they were discriminating against me because I was a non customer. I had a chase check plus 2 forms of ID. I have never tried to pass a fraudulent check nor have I ever been rude to these people. No reason to deny me customer service. I went to another chase and they cashed my checks easily no questions. I will never go to this branch again and I have put in a complaint to chase corporate. I will never open a chase account again and I've also asked my ex husband to also complain and to close his private client account because they make my life difficult when I'm trying to cash a check I need to care for my son.
