The business account manager here does not seem willing to do her job. She rejected my company's account application without any consideration, claiming that our parent company is foreign. This reasoning is completely unreasonable. We were able to open the account smoothly at another Chase branch. She didn't even take the time to review the scale or background of our company. I visited this Chase branch intending to open an account, with plans to potentially upgrade it to a private banking account in the future (currently working with UBS but not happy with my banker). The branch opens at 9:00 AM, so I arrived at 9:02 AM. Upon entering, I was greeted by three clerks at the counter (as there were no other customers at the time). I explained the purpose of my visit to one of the clerks, who then made a call--apparently to the person responsible for handling account openings. She asked if they could assist me, but the answer was no. The clerk even pointed out, "I could see you're free until 10:00 AM, so you should be able to help the gentleman now," but her request was still rejected. Finally, the clerk suggested I return later in the day to try again. Having spent over 20 years in the service industry myself, I can confidently say this is no way to treat a walk-in customer. Frustrated, I left and opened an account at another bank across the parking lot instead. Whoever the branch manager is at this location is clearly not managing the branch well. The Chase Bank ATMs work well at this location and you are in a well lit area where you can feel safe withdrawing cash. There are two located to the left of the front door entrance. The difference between the indoor ATM and outdoor ATM is the outdoor one the money just pops out. For the indoor ATM, you reach inside to take out the cash. I have been inside a couple times but these days, who has time to get in line when you can just do a quick cash withdrawal. Plenty of parking at this area and relatively safe since it's all very bright, even at 7pm at night. Close to restaurants and stores. read more

I had an appointment with Nikki but she was with another client at the time I reached there then when she got free she said there is nothing on her calendar but told ya to wait until she gets some refreshments. We waited and after 10 mins she came and we started the process. She was nice though after that. We were approaching 6 pm but still she finished opening an account for me. I am not sure why we were nt on her calendar and why can't she wait until 6 pm to have a refreshment especially when the bank was closing but then she did stay back like 10 mins after 6 pm just to finish up all the formalities with me. read more

I came to this branch to open a new account. No one was available at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon! So I have to make an appointment the next day. The bankers here were not well trained for good customer service (the banker name is Nikki) She tend to make up fake rules that are very different from other branches. It's right by my place, and I don't have to travel far for a chase. What's annoying sometimes is that when I'm depositing cash, it sometimes doesn't accept the cash, and I have to try again. I have been to this branch for almost 10 years. The service is always perfect and friendly. I had some problems with other branches of Chase, but never from this one. I love the people from this branch. Christie Teran, the manager of the branch is wonderful. She is always very nice and very helpful. I went there today for a cashier's check. Mr. David Chou was very patient and extremely helpful. He spent almost 30 to 45 minutes on the phone and online. And he solved the problem finally. He also helped me order a check which was denied by another banker. He received five keys recognition. He really deserves it. read more

Horrible!!!!!!!! These people here do not know anything.. I had to go to this branch few times thinking this branch was the closest one from my work. I came here because I had to make some deposits and ask questions about my account, but they had to run around asking their other representatives or their managers because they did not know the answers. Some answer that they gave me was unclear, I had to go the different branch to confirm.. gezzz hassle The investment representative lady was also very very not professional and rude, she kept calling to make sure I invested something and after I opened an account, she was yelling at me when I wanted to adjust my portfolio. This review is specifically for their branch manager Christie Teran. She is wonderful! Although this branch is a bit of a drive from where I live, I keep my accounts there because of Christie. She is always positive, cheerful, and professional. Whenever I have questions or problems with any of my accounts, she knows exactly how to find the answers and help me out. Now when was the last time YOUR bank did that for you? I popped into this branch and spoke with Kirk on home refinance. He gave me a rate that's higher than "internet" rates. He tells me he can match any rate so long as they are a direct lender and not a broker. Well that's easy. So I went home and found a "direct" lender in Tennessee that fronts their own money and services the loan. I presented him with the LE (loan estimate) that was 0.35% less than what I got. He tells me he cannot match it and he can come close but I"ll have to buy 0.25-0.5 discount points but even then it was still iffy. He then goes on to say that I'm spending over $4k to refinance with the Tennessee bank. I told him that's not true. The Tennessee lender included my last month's mortgage into the closing because when they pulled my credit, the mortgage balance was obviously not reflected of the actual (today) payoff balance. So it was more like $2k to close. But let's be real. I asked him what would it take to close this loan and I did not get a response thereafter. So he knows it was futile to offer me anything. next time he should say "I'll TRY to match any lender" . read more

I visited this Chase branch twice, once to set up an account for myself, and after receiving phenomenal service the first time, I recommended my friend who had also just moved to Irvine. Both times I was impressed with the level of service, friendliness and helpfulness. I really appreciate how they would confirm with their manager or operations specialist to verify when they are unclear of the situation or answer. I also have to mention that I had originally wanted to open an account at HSBC, but after travelling there twice, speaking to 3 representatives and were told to leave twice (excuses give: too busy, appointments only, almost time to go home), I went to Chase, and was immediate greeted with coffee and smiles, and our accounts were set up in less than 15 minutes. read more

All the staff are courteous and professional and I always feel happy when leaving this bank! The man who stands out even above the staff is Nicholas Hardi.
