the new version of this "branch" is an absolute failure. taking the tellers out of the branch has removed any functionality of the branch, and they now have an ATM outside, and an ATM inside with people showing you how to use the ATM. i was told "we dont deal in coin at this branch", which is exactly the entire purpose of a bank. i asked if i could remove a large amount of cash, hypothetically, such as $5,000. they said "no but we can tell you where you could go to do so". this means that anybody that lives in this area now has to add 10 min each way to access their accounts. want to make change for large bills? they dont deal in coin. then to order a new debit card, i was going to have to wait 90 min for one of the bankers to do so. also, i had a large check to deposit, which i couldnt do via the app, but cant do it in there because i need a new debit card. so to be able to walk into the branch, get something done that shouldnt take longer than 7-10 min (assuming no lines) was now going to take me 90 min.
taking the human interaction out of this branch is a massive mistake. the fifth third across the street had plenty of tellers inside.
finally, when telling the home lender and the lobby host of my issues with this, they kept telling me they could do everything a full service branch could do, but you still cant give me the cash i request. asside from opening new accounts, i find this building nothing more than a fancy ATM with unhappy employees. ive been banking here for years, dont tell me you can still do everything you used to be able to do, when you cant. this is a bad experiment chase.
