I've never liked Chase Bank from past experience of the way they do business. I bought a car last year and agreed to use their financing, Subaru Motors finance through Chase because I was given a very good interest rate and the term I wanted. I clarified that the loan was simple interest, no penalty for early or pre-payments. My Bad. I'm being charged interest on my regular payment which is OK, but they are also charging interest to a principle payment in the same month. Their system automatically applies a principle payment to the next months payment due and charges interest accordingly. I talked with with an overseas CS person whom I'm not entirely convinced was human... I asked how I can make principle only payments without this happening and was told to send a check noting same. I've been send checks with a note "Principle Payment Only" for months. I'm still being charged interest, over $400 so far. Call # 2 to overseas, human questionable voice. "It's a system issue due the timing of the payment blah blah jump though hoops if you want principle payments to apply to your principle". NO. I don't CARE about your SYSTEM. They purposely waited for my application to expire and had to reapply, once I sent in my POA I was advised they would transfer it to my other application. This auto chase credit in OKC is dishonest and will lie to anyone for a quick sale. Bought a vehicle cash and was told everything was okay instead of saying if questions take it to a mechanic. Bought a car cash price for almost $10,000 cash was told by VIKTOR that everything is perfect. I trusted him , bought the car a few days later found out that the car needs serious repairs. Called the manager and asked for help and told them about their salesperson and I also told them that there was a witness with me who can testify about my conversation and how many times I asked this useless sales person if l need to be concerned about anything. The manager was just as bad and didn't take responsibility so I am letting the public know to be aware of this business . I will also petition with BBB of Oklahoma. I paid off my vehicle 3 weeks ago and have still not received my title. Every time I call they give me a different story as to where the title is. They refuse to send me a lien release letter or help in any way. I paid this loan off electronically so they got their money immediately but refuse to send me my title. They say it was mailed on 2/25/25, which was 10 days ago. They did not send it certified or put a tracking number on it. They have no idea where it is and offer no solution except to continue to wait. I was an excellent customer but since I paid off the loan, they couldn't care less about helping resolve the issue. I called today to see about getting my loan extended, because I'm having kidney surgery tomorrow, but was told that they would not extend my loan. This is a fairly new loan and I've made 8 payments on it, but they told me that wasn't good enough. I told them that I had no control over my kidney problem and that I was just asking for an extension. Even after telling them that this was special circumstance, they still told me no. So, I told the girl that they could just come pick up the car then, because I will be off of work for 4-6 weeks and won't be able to make any payments. This idiot supervisor Esmerelda (ID#L210893) mentioned moving the date out further, but my payment is already on the 29th, so what would moving it out two days accomplish? NOTHING! I guess they can come get the car. Having a medical emergency means nothing to them. It seems as though CHASE only cares about getting their money, not anyones health. After making on time payments for years, the one time I needed help and asked for an extension due to financial difficulties, and they denied me for any more than 2 weeks. I asked for any reasoning and they said nothing other than "extensions are a courtesy, and we do not give our reasoning". I can only take that as they didn't care that I was struggling and have children that depend on me and a partner that is making less money recently. This loan was not low interest, the car is worth more than the loan now. With crippling debt, asking for a 2-3 months of a break doesn't seem to me to be much to ask. In fact, chase auto could have made more money from me with interest. After the complete dissatisfaction from their customer service and asking me personal questions about my financial situation which are indeed dire, and then basically saying we don't care, I will be more motivated to pay off everything I own from my chase car loan, and credit card debts, close all accounts, and never deal with this business again. late pay 2-24 chase now more than ever i feel discriminated against when about to come out of the hospital i received an email from chase on 2/27/24 regarding making my car payment. the e mail stated that if i was later than 30 days that chase would review my account and may report the late pay to the credit beuraus. upon getting home i made the payment on the 32 day. chase opted to report the late pay even though i had never had an over 30day with them or anyone else in the last 20 years. when i learned of the reporting, i called chase credit reporting dept and talked to a mr. moe who was more like mr magoo. i asked who qualified for the may report section of their e-mail if i didn't. he could not or would not answer. my feeling being a white, jewish conservative living in a nice area and owning a mercedes i was discriminated against. where as if i was a person of color, living in a moderate area and driving a toyota, i would have ben given at least the one time pass. please review the attached chase e-mail and see what your perception is. thank you richard h read more

Chase Auto Finance: Made my last and final p&i payment in December 2024. Even chases own website states and I quote,"loan payments are applied by interest first, principle second and outstanding fees last, literally in this order and you can look that up. Fast forward two months to February 27th 2025, chase returned that payment (cleared my bank same day posted December 30th 2024) but never returned to my bank. Chase took that payment and misappropriated it causing the account to go 30/60/90 days late without my knowledge here in March 2025. How do you report a 30 days late in March when it's only March 5th?? So my final p&i payment was paid for 60 days with no checking issue(I went to the bank and verified it) keep in mind I have never been 30 days late on this loan or any loan. I do have account proof when the payment was made and when it posted to the account. They randomly decided to take the payment back from paid/cleared after two fkn months and make the account delinquent. I have two attorneys working on it and both screaming class action lawsuit as well as turning this over to the district attorney's office. I have disputed this with the three bureaus and just waiting. I have proof of all of this including a clear admittance from chase auto finance. Really, all this on the last principle payment on the loan. I am spending the weekend posting this on every public forum I can think of and making a social media video showing the proof. Zero stars if it was possible. We bought 2 cars from Mazda and financed through Chase for both, one was a purchase the other was a lease. When the lease was over I secured financing through another institution to buy out the residual and purchase the suv. Once they found that out, they put on the proverbial brakes in regards to assistance. They dragged out the final payment by changing the amount due several times to the point I over paid on purpose and sent a bank check over night just to make sure I got the title. It then took 2 months longer than it was supposed to. I had to register it twice within a coyote months just to keep it street legal. The car, they did the same thing applying the final payment to a previous balance that didn't exist, the car only had one payment left. They kept talking about late fees, because again, they withheld the final payment instead of applying it, so the principal never fully got paid. Hence the "late fees". They even accused us of reversing a payment through our bank which our bank verified via documentation that Chase was the one that sent the payment back, again, so we could he hit with late fees. This didn't stop until we made the threat of contacting the AG banking division to report fraud. The resent payment was finally applied and then took almost another 3 months to get the title. I've been buying cars for 35 years, I've even worked in the industry and this has easily been the worst car financing experience I've ever had. Before considering them for a car loan, do yourself a favor and Google experiences such as this. We are far from being alone, this happens pretty often. FYI they will never contact you if there is a reversed charge even if it's not reflected in the customers account they will assess you late fees. I think Chase Auto is actually a zero and avoid at all costs. After paying them 39 consecutive payments early and deciding to purchase the vehicle, they are still processing internally and now put my account in 30 day late payment. The term of the lease was 39 months and during this purchase period (they have my check for full amount plus an extra month) Chase is sending my account to credit industry. Also, Chase is trying to get another payment to avoid sending a false credit past due notice...unethical seems to be the common theme with Chase. read more

Chase Auto will not refinance existing loans with them. Their reasoning is that the pandemic has caused a longer wait time from the DMV and all of their employees are working from home. I have no problem waiting for the DMV and this to me is a ridiculous excuse to no longer refinance. People are struggling and while Chase Auto gets to work safely from their homes, I still have to go to my job and find ways to put my safety at risk to be able to afford my bills. This screams that they don't care about customers at all, even if you make your payments on time. By the way, they will still charge you a late fee if you do happen to be late during a pandemic! read more

I bought my car out of a lease in 2019, Chase Auto has failed to help me get a title to register my vehicle for THREE years now. I have tickets and court dates and no one really helps, they just pretend to be sympathetic and continue to drop the ball. She assured me that she would get my title. Last week she tells me that she's sending me the paperwork and I need to go to DMV to request a title myself (their job). No one person handles a problem at Chase - a case it opened and 38 people send it all around and still no resolution. The time, effort and money wasted on something this simple is astounding. It has been 4 months and I have yet to receive a refund. They require a letter from the county. The want the letter worded differently. They want the next letter to include another specific word. I actually had to send them the proof of Fed Ex delivery with the name of the person who signed for the check payment. it took them 17 days to post a lease payoff that was send fed ex ...this was after talking to 15 customer service people and almost 3 hours on the phone. There's an option to enter the extension of the person on their 800 number but NO ONE HAS AN EXTENSION NUMEBR. They have my phone number in my profile but they can't make outgoing calls...SERIOUSLY. if they cut you off which they did several times....NO ONE WILL CALL YOU BACK. So you get to start all over with another person. After they found the payment then I was told that the odometer statement had more than one box checked....NOT TRUE. I just sent them another copy of the odometer statement and only one box was checked. In the past week I have been on hold for a total of one hour and 45 minutes trying to resolve a simple fix, and IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED! The last one today after being on hold for 30 minutes (the shortest hold time I've had with them yet) was VERY rude and condescending. It was the last straw that pushed me to write this angry review. First, they gave us incorrect information about how to do this, saying that it would take 2 business days to release the lien, when in reality this required paying off in a specific way, and instead it took 10 business days leaving us living out of a hotel for a week unable to move. Next, they sent the title to the wrong address despite me confirming the correct address multiple times on multiple phone calls. Then, we had to wait a further 14 business days. After all this, it turns out they could have just quickly mailed us a letter giving us permission to take the car out of the country. Their incompetence cost us thousands of dollars, and added huge amount of stress to an already stressful move. I love Subaru's cars but this was such a disaster I would serious think before buying another car from a company that used Chase financing. read more

They wanted me to fill out a notorized form and send it back to them. They had essentially mailed it to my states unclaimed property division about the same time they sent my form to me. I called CS and they told me to contact my state. Nothing there. State told me to wait until after 1st of the year (a couple of months), nothing. Contacted the state again, the lady said they hadn't seen a check from Chase Auto for 4 years. Conference call with Chase CS and the representative from the state unclaimed property division the first week of February. She admitted there was no evidence of a cashed check and an investigation would be started, and that I should see the check by the last week of March. Called today, last week of March. They offered to start a new investigation, this time with a result by mid -May. Got to a supervisor, he told me that the wait would be 6 months from not August when they said they sent the check first, but November, months after they said they sent the check the first time. The supervisor also told me the check had been cashed... same line from the previous fall. Still haven't figured out why they just didn't apply I too my balance 5 years ago. Do not finance a with Chase Auto Financing . They are rude, hang up on you when they say they are going to submit information ( this happens every single time ) and are unwilling to help you. They say they will work with you on a deferment but unless you lie and have some magical password or something , they will just continue to hang up on you and not help. After being told papers were being submitted and to hold I was hung up on and same with second time. This time I had rep dig thru notes just to that tell me I was denied. They couldn't do that themselves and I guess I could have continued calls all morning like that before asking first tier rep to help. I have had my loan for over three years now and I'm self employed so my finances go up and down. Every other company I have financed with helps with deferring a payment or two. So when I asked for the purchase amount and paid off over the phone, the total didn't include state taxes. 2. Subaru Finance didn't help at all when trying to reach out to them regarding Chase and their lack of service. 3. DMV held my transfer of vehicle paperwork due to not having paid state taxes. I could write a book on lack of professionalism on behalf of Chase. Please don't get involved with them when purchasing a vehicle!! They are still stonewalling me, saying it will take 10 business days. If I could give BIG FAT ZERO star,,, I am a long time Chase bank customer, so I figured refinancing my auto loan with them would be pretty easy...Bought my car from CarMax in December 2019 then refinanced with Chase as they offered lower rate and the drama began: They sent me Power of attorney to be notarized in December 2019, I completed all the forms and notarized and mailed all the requested info via FedEx, So fast forward a few days and I never heard that they received my paperwork. Called a few times and finally got through and they said they received my paperwork, and everything is okay. More fast forward June 2020: got a letter from Chase auto loan with another Power of Attorney to be notarized and to be sent again, when I called and inquired the reason for second power of Attorney, I was told that I should leave the line for 'second borrower' on the Power of Attorney empty, (I am the only owner of the car) I was shocked and I said ) by law i CAN NOT leave it empty as anyone can put their names on it,, I notarized it one more time and sent all the documents for second time on June 4th, 2020. June 26th 2020: 3rd letter from Chase requesting Power of Attorney, again I called and they said I have to leave the field for the second borrower / owner of the car empty, I said I CAN NOT leave it empty and I am the only borrower! June 30th 2020: 4th letter from Chase requesting Power of Attorney, again I called and they said I have to leave the field for the second borrower / owner of the car empty, I said I CAN NOT leave it empty and I am the only borrower! I signed and sent all the power of attorneys they had sent me, total of (4) FOUR. August 2020: I found another institute with much lower rate and tried to refinance the car, after filling out the paperwork which was much easier and less painful, the new institute found out that Chase never recorded the title at the DMV and the title is still under the previous owner (CarMax), I contacted CarMax, they said they released the car back in December 2019 and its Chase's fault they didn't record the title, I requested another lean release from Carmax and they provided within 2 days (8.6.20) and it was sent to Chase, but chase has not confirmed yet ! (8.12.20) I have been dealing with Chase and spoken with different people and customer service and supervisor, no one can give me an answer why the title has not been recorded at the DMV, while they have no problem taking my money every month, I have not been late for my payments just want to get rid of Chase auto loan ! After calling each week and being told they have sent the title, it took them another month to figure out something didn't seem right. I was then told the title must have been lost (probably could have told you that). It was then October, and they sent me a document to get a second title from my state. Fast forward another few months and we are now in January 2021... over half a year and Chase finally figures out how to mail a title. I will never do business with Chase again. It's been weeks since I overnighted, return receipt requested, a $17,000 cashiers check to Chase Subaru Finance to pay off my 2017 Subaru Crosstrek. The check was sent along with all the information they requested at the time . I was told upon receipt of the check they would send me the title to my car. They claimed they didn't receive the overnighted check for a week, then waited several days to post it to my account. I called to ask if there was anything I could do to expedite the situation and was told no, I'll be receiving my title shortly. After another week I called to find out if my title was on the way. They informed me that the information I'd sent along with my check was rejected three days after the check was cashed but they refuse to tell me why. They did give me a new list of information to send them, which I promptly did. I'm still waiting for some type of acknowledgement of the information I sent them and confirmation that my title is on its way. To call this bank a bunch of thieving con artists is far too high a compliment. Meanwhile I've lost two buyers for my car and all of my cash. I've been treated better by violent, armed thieves on the subway. Don't do business with these people unless you enjoy abuse. read more
