Just got home from the salon and the polish is sloppy and doesn't even go all the up to the cuticles.. - The image shows a hand with five fingers, each featuring neatly painted white nails. The nails are glossy and appear freshly manicured. The background includes a blurred indoor environment with neutral-colored walls and a patterned carpet. The focus is on the hand and nails, highlighting the manicure details.

I was excited to try this new place because of all the positive reviews but unfortunately I didn't have the same experience. The nail technician that I had was pretty rough with both the pedicure and manicure. They don't use plastic lining for the tub for the pedicure soaks. Which in hindsight more environmentally friendly but the tubs didn't look that clean. I'm overall not happy with the way my nails came out. I did a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. A couple of my nails are clearly crooked, and the polish is sloppy on the sides and near the cuticles. I was shocked when she filed my nails at the very end... after clear top coat and everything. Basically gonna expect these to chip in a couple days. Definitely won't be back to say the least.

10/10 experience -- I spent toooooo long earlier today cutting my cuticles with some nail clippers. I got them way too short and they didn't look great -- my nail tech took her time and turned my rounded nails into the prettiest perfect coffin shape. The price was very fair and I would definitely recommend checking out this place for the not-so-locals who need to get their nails done!!

A photograph shows a hand with well-groomed nails painted in a glossy light pink color. The ring finger has a small red heart design near the cuticle. The hand is positioned against a neutral background, and the person is wearing multiple bracelets on the wrist. The image emphasizes the manicure and nail art details.

Update: Over 2 weeks later and all nails are still in tact and I've gotten sooo many compliments!!

    Cuts from the cuticle scissors

I was looking for an inexpensive place for a manicure on my way to other errands after work. Came upon this place through good yelp reviews. I waited about 20 minutes though I had been on time to my appointment. There were two workers in the place, one who was friendly and spoke English, the other was older and did not. The older woman worked on my manicure, occasionally grunting and gesturing at me when needed. Not sure if it's her eyesight but she ended up cutting me three times with the cuticle scissors on my fourth finger and thumb -- bleeding and painful. In fact in the next few days typing was painful at work. No apologies (perhaps bc she didn't speak English). I did pay and tip her (barely got an acknowledgment there), but in retrospect (this is now a few days later and my finger still hurts to do anything and I have a gaping cut there), I think I should have demanded my money back. I'm not giving one star bc that wouldn't be fair to the other worker who was very friendly and seemed to be doing a fine job with her clients. if I go back in the future, I will ask for someone else.

Finally a quality dip mani that's not too thick!

My nails have NEVER looked so good! I'm new to the area, and when I walked into this salon I was not impressed by the way it looked. However, my opinion soon changed. They had an impressively large selection of dip mani colors, and went to great lengths to make my nails look amazing. Although they did 3 rounds of dip, my nails are not thick and chunky like they have been with other places. Also they do something a little different and special to make them super shiny. I'm not about to give away their secrets though!! One thing that is worth noting is that my mani took 1.5 hours, which is way longer than I expected, so be prepared. Given the amount of time and work that went into my nails, the price is so cheap. There is another salon in oak square that is more popular but pushes people through like an assembly belt. This is not like that at all!

I've never been so happy!!!! Thank you Susan

A hidden gem! I am so happy with my experience here! The entire staff made sure I was satisfied! I came in a little flustered because I wanted my nails to be perfect for my birthday celebration and they ended up turning out better than I expected. Susan was nice, charismatic and made me feel comfortable. She even used a pink acrylic powder to match the photo I showed her. I will definitely be back and I am so happy with my service! Thank you Susan you are amazing.

Mani and pedi about five days later. *note the colors are slightly different because I did powder dip on my hands and regular polish on toes - The image shows a close-up of a person's hand with well-groomed nails painted in a light pink color. The nails are square-shaped and appear freshly manicured. The hand rests on a white surface, possibly a table or counter, with a neutral background. The focus is on the nails and the hand's skin, which looks smooth and clean.

Stop what you're doing and go to this place right now. This was the best manicure and pedicure of my life. And I've had many...and many bad ones (@ my last nail salon review in Boston). First, Sue spent two hours on me?! (plan accordingly, cause it's some time). I got a regular pedi and a dip powder mani. Wow is this woman detailed and meticulous. She went through three rounds of dip for nails. I loved how she made sure the polish was smooth on the surface and the nails had a great shape and were similar to each other. My nails look like marbles or pearls. Smooth and uniformed. Pretty, gorgeous. What I also loved about the manicure was how she respected what I worried about, like not having my cuticles chopped off. So she was extra careful and actually used a different tool to make it even more gentle for me. Later, when I ask what she was doing with another tool she responded by explaining she wants to make sure the nail powder goes on perfectly because she doesn't want a single reason for me to feel like I have to come back to get it fixed (not her exact words but you get the gist). My pedicure was relaxing and also well done. I had a blister that I didn't notify her about and when she accidentally hit it she sincerely apologized and said she wouldn't use that tool on me, introduced a different one, asked me if I was ok with it, and then proceeded very, very gently. That's how it's done, ladies and gents. She gave me the stone deluxe pedi as a gift/surprise for the same price which was very sweet. That was nice and relaxing. My legs felt so smooth afterwards. I'm going to be honest and say I am very rough with my nails. I wash my hands a ton, I slam my hands into shit frequently. But these babies are lasting wonderfully. There are pictures of 5 days later and these nails are holding up perfectly. I paid $25 for the pedi, $40 for the dip powder. And she undeniably has my loyalty.

Gel pedicure - The image depicts two feet with pink toenail polish resting on a dark wooden floor. The feet are wearing black pants that are rolled up slightly above the ankles. The toenails are painted pink, and the skin appears smooth. The floor has a textured wood grain pattern with visible lines and a matte finish.

Thursday afternoon, there were only two people working, so I had to wait a bit for a pedicure but they set me up in a massage chair and let me soak my feet for a while. That was a wonderful start :) Great leg massage with hot stones and very nice pedicure.

    Gel manicure

I was taken care of here at charming spa! A few weeks after Boston opened up its Salons I decided to finally get my nails done. I called ahead and got an appointment for 7pm. I went in, and I was the only one after a few customers left. The place is small so I was less worried of over crowding (10+). Susan my technician was amazing! I asked for a more time consuming version of French nails (as you can see) and she took her time doing them as we chatted about the chaos of Covid and our own lives. She was so peaceful and it made me feel so special having the place to myself and getting a great treatment. I could tell her passion for her work and how excited she was to have fun being creative. Thank you Susan! I love my nails and I can't wait to go back in two weeks to get them done again. -Cat

first time excellent service and good pricing for gel manicure- so many color options!

The woman who did my nails was so nice, not the usual. Great pricing for gel manicure, my nails are perfect squares! And they have so many color options. Go!

Thin gel nails - The image shows a close-up of a person's hand resting on their knee. The nails are painted with a glossy pink polish, and the index and middle fingers have floral nail art with small white flowers and colorful accents. The person is wearing a diamond ring with multiple stones on the ring finger. The background is blurred, focusing on the hand and nails.

So I must say wonderful clean salon with very nice and sweet girls. I had Susan who went above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend! This is gel powder and also had pedi and eyebrow wax. Try them, you won't be disappointed.

I made an apt for 7pm, I say that as I enter the salon and she goes okay pick a color. She is working on someone else's nails so I think to myself she's almost going to be done, I'll just wait. Nope, she was just starting her nails, I waited until this lady finished everything including waxing her. By this time it was almost 8pm. What made me the most upset was that she didn't even say sorry for the wait or anything and when I said "I had an apt at 7 why did I have to wait so long?" She stopped to think for a second and just ignored me and continued doing my nails. At this point I was really annoyed. Probably a half hour later a gentlemen walks in saying he has a splinter in his finger and if she had time to take it out. He saw she was doing my nails so he politely said I'll just come back tomorrow. She's like no, no let me do it now. Maybe the look on my face showed I was annoyed but he was really sweet so I said it was fine, it took less than a minute. Of course he had to be an angel because he was so grateful he left 10$ and said this would cover my tip. The only reason I waited through it was because I genuinely love how she does my nails, they always come out perfect. She did take her time even though the salon closed at 8pm, she did not rush so I was happy about that. It could have been a busy day but how the situation was handled was what bothered me, especially because I had an appointment.

The image shows a person's hand with nails painted in various bright, abstract designs, including yellow, blue, pink, orange, and green patterns. The hand is partially covered by a gray, long-sleeved garment, and the background reveals the interior of a vehicle, including a dark dashboard and part of a window.

The woman at the front desk was nice, so I do have one positive memory! It started out on a strange note, the girl who did the waxing just came out of the back waxing area and waved me in; someone else was waiting so I wasn't exactly sure if she meant me at first? One of my BIG pet peeves is someone not introducing themself (and welcoming them to a brand-new location), and that was the case here. Worse than the "just a wave, no introduction" was the actual wax itself: forget about the usual going home and needing to pluck a few hairs (emphasis on FEW); in this case, I went home and looked around to find someone who did "patch areas" AND could get me in quickly because there was an entire section that had not been waxed!!! It didn't occur to me to LOOK before I got dressed, but now I know I should check out the handiwork before leaving. That was another $20 added on (as well as the time of finding someone and going to the appointment), so it definitely wasn't a great experience!

I've been getting waxes for 3 years now and 2 with this company. I've never had to tell a waxer to stop what they are doing mid wax because the pain is that unbearable. Literally to the point of me crying my eyes out. What pissed me off is the girl that waxed me told me my pain is coming from my hairs being too long. I instantly knew that was BS because I've gotten waxes looking like a bear on the wax table multiple times and NEVER HAS IT BEEN THIS UNBEARABLY PAINFUL. I could also tell she either wasn't trained well or didn't have any experience because she focused on one area of my body vs bouncing off body parts like a waxer would normally do. She focused on my Brazilian area for about 30 mins continuously applying wax over and over again. I asked her if my skin was red or bleeding and she told me no, but the moment i sat up to look my whole Brazilian area was very red and bumpy from the pain and amount of time she went over it. Normally when someone is doing a Brazilian on me, it takes about 5-7 mins if that. I've never experienced a wax session this bad. And on top of all that, she couldn't finish because she felt uncomfortable to do so with is understandable, but the fact that i am literally getting on a plane to Mexico tomorrow is a HUGE inconvenience to me! Now im forced to shave the body parts she didn't get to. I haven't shaved in 3 years because I am a consistent waxer. The fact i have to shave the rest is utterly disappointing and frustrating.
