So you see little shops and then a big clean H&M store at the end of the street. The men section gets it's own floor at least. They got all the basics and the women gets two floors of clothes. You'll see a lot of Chinese and foreigners in this store wandering about. I personally found some cool items in the men section. Things I didn't see in Causeway Bay H&M, and I love finding new things. Clean store, good items and consistent with H&M brand. And it's a big store. Love it!

New adult shop right at the ground zero on Lyndhurst Terrance. Well, it could go either way (no…read morepuns intended). I don't believe that locals are liberal enough to just walk in to an adult shop like it's just another boutique. But it's around LKF/Soho, so it may target some different audience. So upon my visit, It's a pretty tiny, decent store with all the usual stuff you can find in an adult shop. It features, primarily, dozens of vibrators at the dominant space. A bit overwhelming, as some of them are only different by colors... There are a lot of interesting stuff here, for instance, a series of (lightish) BDSM toys under the brand Fifty Shades of Grey. Well, at least the collections have more positive contribution to the society and human beings than the book itself. =) There's another series of "toys" that use endorsement of Japanese AV models... endorsement as in, the "toys" are customized based on the AV models. (Go figure what that "toys" are.) There are a lot of things that worth a laugh or two (Rilakkuma condoms, for instance), but you'd only find maybe 30% (at least for me) of the stuff available here are truly practical. Also, as the store is quite tiny, you probably can't really enjoy the visit without having the eyes of the staff at your back all the time, despite that he's being very professional and friendly.

There are so many H&Ms in Hong Kong, you're never too far from one - even though the Central one is gone, take a couple of MTR stops and you'll have the huge TST one waiting for you! But hear me out here - the H&M at Olympian City is different. The clothes are displayed neatly, it's usually pretty empty and most of the time, there isn't a line for the changing rooms. This doesn't even sound like H&M anymore, does it? I've been here on weekends too and although there are a little more people compared to on weekdays (when it's usually super quiet), it's still significantly less crowded like the other branches. And this H&M is a pretty decent size - it spans two floors, so there's plenty to browse! Coming to this H&M is such a pleasant experience compared to going to the other branches. The TST one is huge - granted - but it's always filled with people and browsing is such a chore because you can't help but knock elbows with others. The H&M at Langham in Mong Kok is the worst - not that big, permanently crowded, and they don't ever seem to turn up the air conditioning. Because Olympic is kind of far off, naturally there's a lot less people so the H&M is never crowded. Actually, the H&M at MegaBox in Kowloon Bay is normally pretty empty as well, but I still prefer the one at Olympic because MegaBox is a pain to get to. You still have to take a shuttle bus to the mall after getting off the MTR and walking though the mall! Olympian City is connected to the MTR station, so it's convenient to get to. This is definitely my favorite H&M in HK - not crowded, neat, and I find that the staff is more helpful too in helping you look for your size. If you like H&M but can't stand the crowds and the endless changing room lines, give the H&M at Olympic a go!

So when I visited Hong Kong a number of years ago and saw the rows and rows of British style tailor shops, I was inspired. I was in Hong Kong (Kowloon) for less than a week, so it appeared to me to be impossible to get myself a handmade suit in that time. But lo and behold in Hong Kong it only took four days. And the price was hundreds of dollars less than in London. After a fussy fitting and a cup of tea I was in business. I chose a light grey single breasted pleated and cuffed classic suit, that smacked of a Caucasian colonialist in a hot and humid country; though I didn't realize it at the time. All I knew was that four days later I had a perfectly fitted handmade suit that lasted me for ten years. I only wish that I had bought six.

My husband was the one ordering the suit and we entered for an initial consultation. Discussed fabrics and style. Measured allllllll over. First fitting of suit was the next day. Few adjustments. Return to pick up suit for final fitting. WOWWWWWW what a fit. Perfect! Very happy with the suit and service. Oh and the scottish short-eared cat was adorable. This tailor also tours the states and will be coming to the Short Hills mall in May. Who knew????

I had to review this H&M because this is my first time in H&M when I didn't have to queue for a…read moreminute! As I left work I decided it was today that I was finishing my outfit for a dinner. I had two options: H&M in TST or this one...a little further but located in a place where I hadn't been before, CityPlaza. Now, if there's something I hate it's crowds (good for me, I live in Hong Kong!) so I really wasn't in the mood for a busy place. I took the MTR to Tai Koo and went up the stairs...there it was. H&M is even signaled so you won't get lost, and you don't need to come out to street level, convenient. H&M in CitiPlaza has only two floors and it's a lot smaller than the one in TST, but as I was looking around I could notice they still had a lot of different models and sizes. Pretty much all of them actually. They also have men, children, lingerie, basics and sports. Oh, and a big section on sales right now! It's a smaller version of the other but a lot less busy. A lot. I went to the fitting rooms three times because I wasn't falling in love with anything. There wasn't anyone counting clothes and I went straight to the changing room every time. I finally found something that fitted, yes! But I had been to TST, I wouldn't have had the patience or the time to wait in line...and I would have left the shop empty handed, I'm sure.

Finally! Another H&M open on the Island side as of late October…read more I like H&M because the clothes actually look good (the only exception is probably the Uniqlo UT line), and doesn't break your bank balance. And this store is actually big meaning lots of variety and something for everyone. Not only that, theres also a homewares section (decorations, bathroom stuff, etc) on the top floor making this store a very worthy rival to Muji.

This happens to me, anyway... and regularly. But not at this new Asia flagship location. The goods are dispersed over 4 floors and a whopping 47,000 square feet. That's a huge deal in Hong Kong, where space comes at a premium! All that extra room results in a wholly enjoyable, stress-free H&M shopping experience. You didn't think it was possible, did you? In addition to the well-organized fashion, this location boasts an H&M Home store on the top floor! There you'll find a slew of well-curated and affordable goodies for the home... anything from soft duvets and chic pillow covers to plush towels and rustic kitchen knick-knacks. For an upcoming Thanksgiving dinner that I'll be hosting in my flat, I purchased some place mats and kitchen items (I don't often cook, so now I'm set with the essentials). I also found a pair of perfectly-distressed slim-fit boyfriend (I know, an oxymoron) jeans that I LOVE. I bought a handbag with matching cheongsam dress, a silk dress, a bangle, a wallet, a mobile case and am really considering getting more of their charming products before I leave. I also did some Christmas present shopping there and dragged visiting friends in there. The prices might be a bit shocking and still it is a beautiful and unique Hong Kong design. Some stores offer tailoring services as well. Maybe want to get a tailored cheongsam (qipao)? Check it out.
