According to their branded copy, "Aumnie® is a Canadian born, health and wellness inspired…read morelifestyle brand." (Sounds sort of like Lululemon doesn't it?) Alas... Don't be alarmed when you arrive here and think you're at the wrong place because it looks more like an office building than a place to buy athletic gear. Hop in the elevator and you will eventually reach Aumnie's tiny Mongkok showroom. The place is pretty no frills and you'll try on your serene tank, spin bra or sharp short in a tent (and rely on a pal to drag the mirror over to said tent so you can see yourself). I found the fit of their form fitting tanks lacking and their pants just okay but I wear the looser fitting pulse singlet often and like it quite a bit. I won't be rushing back to Aumnie but it's worth a look if you're after activewear with a unique look (just make sure to try everything on)!

Like the other Uniqlo's, the shop is very bright and pretty much has everything you need. If you…read moreare looking for some jeans/pants, they only have your waist size. The length is only one length but they provide free alterations for pants more than $100 HKD. All you do is trying them on and then they will take your measurements and they will cut it pants to your liking. They usually get it done within a day but might be able to get it to you later that day if you get there early. The pants are also cheaper than in the US so try looking out for some clothes while you are there. Definitely a perk of buying their jeans in HK. I got three pairs of paints for less than I expected and cut to my liking. You gotta go check out a Uniqlo when you are in Hong Kong.

These guys are very good, give them a try! I was in Hong Kong for 5 days and they were able to…read moreproduce a product for me within that limited amount of time. Great job, great materials, great people, just do your research on what you want ahead of time! Make sure to tell them Alex sent you for a better deal ;). I ordered 5 shirts from these guys and the only reason I am giving a 4/5 is because they partially got my order wrong (asked for the back of my shirt to be box style, but got darts). However I am glad because the darts do indeed look much better, just not what was originally asked for. All that being said, Shaniel is very nice. This is a family owned business that a father and son runs and they are very kind and are willing to work together with you for a product that you will like. They are right next to Sam's however I would say you are getting the same quality for better service at a better price. Know your materials, and know what styles you want before hand. They can only show you examples, but you yourself must know what you want. Their turn over for producing a shirt was much faster as they were ready the next day, and small fixes were even available the same day. They were very friendly and talkative so I felt a sense of higher transparency while going through this process. Don't be afraid to ask questions and tell them if something isn't how you want it to be! They were very willing to work together with me. Be prepared to go for multiple fittings! I fitted my shirt twice. If you want your shirt to fit right the first time, that is just how it should be. The shirts I got fit amazing and I am very happy with this experience.

I read an article about Tina and Tina's Choice boutique many weeks back. I went to Causeway Bay…read morespecifically to hunt down this little store. I am so glad I did. It is a little gem of jewelry and accessories, many made by Tina, most made by artisans from around the globe. Funky stuff. Resin, wood, yarns, fabrics, leather....most pieces are made with unusual products. Necklaces, earrings, clutch bags, scarves, rings. Many are big, bulky, statement pieces. There was a lot of stuff on sale when I was there, but prices in general ranged from $200-$1500, depending on what it was. I bought two necklaces. Both long, one made of pea size wood pieces ($300) and the other on sale at $200, a long soft navy cord with large wooden balls tied into it. I think the quality is there and I think the unique designs are super cool.

I've yet to try their new gym wear and footwear products, but Oysho has so far managed to impress…read moreme with its fun and comfortable lingerie and nightwear. I was really only hoping to get new packs of cotton briefs as I'm living between two places and hate having to do my laundry so often because I'm dumping clothes here and there and everywhere... I ended up going on a bit of a spree, ending up with some rather sexy nighties that have (to my boyfriend's relief) replaced my old, patchy Doraemon PJs. My biggest concern was that the satin and lace would be no match against the 1000-times-washed-and-softened cotton Doraemon pants, but the nightie was airy, smooth, silky, and perfect for those summer nights. I'm a complete convert thanks to Oyosho's quality products, sold at very reasonable prices. Their cotton briefs are super practical and similarly good quality. You can buy a pack of 7 for the week, but they only offer a few different cuts/styles - including the Brazilian brief. Their lingerie selection is a little more extensive. You can buy teddies and satin lace jumpsuits at a fraction of a price to more famous brands, and they have a range of practical sleepwear articles and maternity wear too.
