The place is a riot of colour, and mesh tutus. If your little girl is a bit of a tomboy who only wants to wear her jeans and a T-shirt you'll be able to cross the threshold safely! Probably. Maybe. Otherwise, stand well back, and step away slowly ... If you can. This street is renowned among ex-pat mothers (I'm pretty sure the 'locals' love it too but I'm not connected to too many on Facebook) as a source of cheap and cheerful outfits for little girls who are going to grow out of anything before the next Disney movie comes out, and this is a good place to start. Of course keep your eye out for inappropriate, or just plain wrong (not always the same thing) English language on dresses and T-shirts - although lets face it, sometimes that's half the fun ... especially if they are going to be gifts. Don't for a second think you're safe on the 'shoe' side either! I only just managed to escape without purchasing a pair of pink Dora the Explorer sandals (with flashing lights in the soles). There's a pretty extensive range of children's footwear - boys and girls - on offer and at prices that mean you won't be for-going your daily coffee fix to fund a new pair when the little dear has outgrown their favourite Thomas the Tank Engine sneakers in a matter of weeks. I'm going to be heading back again when the current crop of shoes no longer fit - I just hope Dora and her disco lights have sold out.

The Club 21 Outlet was one store that got me really excited when it was my first time coming to…read moreCitygate, but I soon found my excitement falling flat. The store is pretty huge and the racks were filled, so it gave me promise that I would leave with at least one good purchase. It's even connected to an Armani Exchange outlet. But most of the casual ladies' clothes and accessories look outdated and a little ugly, and the ones that are half-decent aren't very much discounted. But that's just from my perspective - if you are a parent, this is the place to be. Tucked all the way at the back of the store is a kids' section - and the kids' clothes are, in my opinion, ten times more attractive than the casual women's clothes. The girls' section was filled with adorable t-shirts, some adorned subtly with the DKNY logo and others with colorful graphics of flowers or a city scene. There were some really cute coats too, perfect for when the winter months roll around. The boys' section had a nice selection of t-shirts, patterned pants and capris as well. Everything is pretty heavily discounted - a pair of jeans going at around $200 - so this is the perfect place to stock up on your kids' clothes. If you're a guy looking for suits and collared shirts, you'll be glad to know that there are racks and racks devoted to just these. However, some of them are really crumpled and obviously in need of a good ironing, and some look like they have been sitting in the store for a while. I didn't look at the prices of these and wouldn't know what the 'market price' is, so to speak, of them are, so I'm not sure if they are considered expensive here. Bottom line - come here for the kids' clothes, and possibly the suits. If you're looking for women's casual fashion, you should probably should give this a miss - but then again, you've come all the way to Tung Chung anyway, so might as well take a gander but don't expect that many things will catch your eye.

There are plenty of fashion boutiques around there but the style varies from one to the next however most of them carry cute dresses and accessories. As I looked up from across the street I saw 'MID SEASON SALE' advertised on a window glass in the first floor of an old building. So I crossed the street and decided to see what it was about, as there were both children and women clothes on display. I came up the stairs and was surprised by the entrance of the store. You have to ring the bell to get in. There were no customers there at that time and around five members of staff! As this is the end of the season they only had a few pieces of clothing in a hanger: exclusive and design dresses in plain black, white and pink; cute two pieces original suits; lace skirts and accessories. One of the girls showed me around, very friendly and helpful. She suggested I come back in September, as that's when they're receiving all the new clothes for next season. Looking at price tags, I realized they were pretty expensive, but they're now half price (so hurry up!). On the other side of the shop there were children clothes, but I didn't really have a look. All I could see is that they were extremely cute ones! And possibly very unique, given the style of the shop. They aren't easy to find both offline (because of location, and lack of advertising on street level!) or online but they do have such a nice space and website, worth checking out!

From high-end brands like Burberry to Nike, along with many local and international stores offering big discounts. As a visitor and first-timer, the mall was a little confusing to navigate at first, but it's very convenient since it's directly connected to the Tung Chung station. There are also restaurants and additional shops outside of the mall area, which gives the area a lively atmosphere. Both the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong and The Silveri Hong Kong hotels are attached, making it super convenient for travelers. One thing about Hong Kong, there are lots of shopping malls. This one I wasn't too impressed with.

There's also a movie theater and a myriad of restaurants offering authentic food. I came across this place called Lian Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. I ordered the Tofu and mushroom salad, Thai Chicken skewers, Thai Wings and a strawberry and guava smoothie. The food had amazing flavor and was delicious. Of the dishes the Tofu salad was the best. The Tofu was seasoned and cooked perfectly as were the mushrooms. The portions were large enough and priced accordingly. It's definitely a place I'd recommend when visiting Hong Kong if you're looking to kill a little time before your flight.
