I've lived in the Charlotte area for almost 3 years now. Initially I lived in south Charlotte, but in the last year moved to the Mountain Island area. After commuting to my nail tech in south Charlotte (45 minutes) for a year, I decided to find somewhere closer and stumbled on this gem! After reading reviews, I was sold on giving them a try, especially with them being only 15 minutes away from me. I called before I showed up and they confirmed they would be able to accommodate me right away. The shop employees were really nice and it so happened that the owner was doing my nails. He did an amazing job!!! He always really attentive and made sure my nails were exactly what I wanted. At the end, another woman did my design and she did a great job too! Scheduled an appointment and they contacted me on facebook to ask what I wanted done. I sent them the picture of the design. They said they could do it. I drove 45 mins to get there and then when I show them the design they said they couldn't do it. They denied they even told me they could and I had to show them the Facebook message. Paint the picture- 7 months pregnant, been looking forward to a relaxing pedi all week. Go to this place, had the worst and least relaxing pedi. The gentleman started by aggressively asking which brand gel I chose from the selection and I explained I hadn't been there before so I chose off the wall. He didn't comprehend so I grabbed the color myself. Then, my husband was with me and had to wait around for 10 minutes for his person to finish up nails- meanwhile there were an abundance of nail techs waiting around. So, I asked for my husband to soak his feet while he waited at least. My tech did nothing to this request so I had to holler to get the attention of a different near by tech for help, and they accepted. We were going now. My pedicure- cut me twice. I didn't get a towel wrap, instead, I got 1 luke warm towel just placed over my shins. 1 towel, to cover both shins. No wrap. Feet uncovered. My exfoliating scrub was the harshest scrubbing he did and it was painful. My massage was nonexistent and didn't touch my feet at all. The massage chairs also do a lot of vibrating rather than massaging. My husbands pedicure- stellar. Great massage on lower legs and feet. Great scrub. Covered both legs with hot towels. Anyways, all this to say, don't go to the wrong technician. If they are aggressive to start, maybe ask to trade out early on so your experience is worth it read more

Extrememy disappointed. service was bad and salon was dirty. Used to be my favroute salon but not anymore! Man at front was rude and yelled saying Hey pedi lady come back here! This was after telling me to wait 10 - 20 mins which i said was fine at to pick a color. Then he directed me to the chair & said someone would be there eventually! No water to soak in the basin, just wait. If I hadn't had a gift card to use, I would've probably walked out. The tech was ok but she refused to put more than one coat of regular polish on my toes! She said two coats was wasteful. Then I had to remind her to finish the pedi with top coat!!! No, I didn't request basic - this was supposed to be deluxe service! The salon chairs were also extremely worn out and massage buttons didn't work well at all. Definitely not the salon experience I was accustomed to or have experienced previously. I love going to Charm Nails ! I drive 30 minutes because they are the best in the area. The salon is so clean and friendly. Everyone I've been to has done a great job. The owners are very nice. Make an appointment to ensure you don't have to wait because they do get busy. They take walk in clients too but you might have to wait a little. I get dip fill and gel polish + pedicures. I arrived at Charm and once inside, realized this was not the salon I phoned a few minutes before arriving. However, since there was no wait time, I elected to stay. Ashley patiently completed my pedicure and manicure. She did an excellent job. The salon had a continuous flow of customers coming in the door. All were quickly accommodated. I was really satisfied with my nails. The only minus is that the prices are much more than I pay at my usual salon. This nail salon is extremely rude and irresponsible. I asked the price three times before, but they didn't tell me the exact price. When I Prepare for bill, I found that there were a lot of extra charges, First, a woman gave me a foot nail, and then my hand was replaced by a man. Without telling me that I needed a replacement, he called me from the chair to change three positions. When I was at the cash register, I found a protruding object on one of my nails. Then the man called me back and used a file to remove my nail polish, which was very interesting. He didn't repair the gel for me, nor did he use the polished nail polish seal. He just applied a layer of nutritional oil and told me to leave, It only took 30 seconds. The lady was so unkind to me. I was simply try to explain that I had painful joints and not to twist my finger like she had been doing. It may have seemed gentle to her but she yelled out to her coworkers in a different language like she was disgusted with me. She hurt my joints and I was just asking her to be more gentle. We came in together and I was running a few minutes late, but my friend requested to wait for me, and they rudely objected. So she sat there and got her nails done while I stood behind her. When I arrived, they asked me if I needed anything done and I said "Yes, I came with my friend. I would like SNS." The lady at the front rudely said, "Well can you wait?" - mind you, it wasn't that busy. And I said "sure", so I stood behind my friend and waited. And waited. And waited. They never offered me a chair, they didn't offer my friend nor I a beverage. They helped two other people that came in and never once asked me if they could help me after the first encounter. After my friend got her nails done, the person working on her nails looked at me and said, "Oh, did you want your nails done? I was going to do them after she got done." Before he said this, He never once looked up and asked me if I wanted to look at swatches, colors, or anything the whole time I was standing there. I kindly rejected due to the rudeness of his tone and the already terrible experience I already was having. While my friend was getting her nails done, she kept looking at me, obviously in pain. They didn't once ask her if she was okay, nor did they ask if she liked her nails once they were through. Needless to say, they were extremely rude and very unprofessional. Never go there if you want to go with a friend, or even by yourself. They probably won't even acknowledge your presence. Also, if cleanliness is a priority of yours when looking for a nail salon, I suggest you look elsewhere.
