If there was a way to post a 0 star review, I would! I am appalled at the lack of customer service,…read morethe attitude towards customers and the harassment and arrogance of Tatum especially and her mother, Mary. My daughter-in-law , Maggie, purchased her wedding dress ( a beautiful gown at a very good price) a few years ago but after posting a 3 star review for the body-shaming (she is a size 6 ) and comments made to her in the dressing room out of ear shot from me or her bridesmaids, Mary and Tatum decided to call ME to get "control" of her and have the review removed. They phoned a few times, crying, yelling and saying I was destroying their business. Tatum then posted on FB to say that "it was on like Donkey Kong"... Again, I did NOT write the review. My daughter-in-law, justifiably, then changed her review to a 1 star after the very disappointing and upsetting treatment I received personally from them. Fast forward to August of 2019. We try to support local business and the wedding was being held at a local business, the pictures being done at 2 local businesses, the photographer, etc. also all local entrepreneurs. My daughter was getting married on October 5th and I had FORGIVEN them for their conduct and treatment and decided we should message them to request information about bridesmaids gowns. The chat message on FB was cordial enough and I said we would be in that afternoon to look. The message I then received back was this: "To be perfectly honest with you Tina after the last episode I'd prefer you not to come to my store. It was a huge upset to me and I can't feel that way again." I was BANNED from the store as was my daughter for something I did NOT do and for their unbelievable and poor treatment of ME. They lost sales for Mother of the Bride, Grandmother, Mother of the Groom and Maid of Honour and 3 bridesmaids! Their dresses are beautiful, the prices are reasonable but I would not be doing business with them given the experiences I have had. Tina Mumford-Kehoe, Retired NSTU

Going to Tatums for my wedding dress was one of the best ideas I've had so far in regards to my…read moreupcoming wedding (other then saying yes when he proposed). I visited some Halifax Shops in October/November to get an idea of what I liked and price range as was dissatisfied with the pushy attendants. A couple of friend recommended heading up to Windsor to visit Tatums. I called ahead and they said to visit around six months before the wedding so they would have time to order in the dress and do alterations. I made an appointment and we made the drive in January. We were greeted at the door with huge smiles by our personal attendant Karrie and the owner Tatum and were asked if we were ready to get to work. We headed upstairs and Karrie asked what I was looking for. She sent us to look at the discount rack (because you never know according to her) and started to pull dresses for me. After trying on 2 dresses I knew that I had found a winner. I still tried on 6 more dresses to be sure and Karrie was very patient and encouraging me to try everything just to be sure. I did find out from the owners that the majority of wedding dress are under $2000 which is cheaper then in the city. It was a day of fun and happiness. Since picking my dress I have been back three times, once to help find dresses for my mother and mother in laws, once for alterations and once to pick it up. Everytime after that first time they greeted us by name and like we were old friends. There are pictures of past brides who had bought dresses from them and I was encouraged to send along a picture after the wedding. This is the place to go for personalized service and great prices. My sister and best friend are planning on visiting here for their dresses when its time. It is well worth the drive and they have an amazing selection of wedding, mothers and bridemaids dresses.

Although the location is great and the inside of the store is clean and well laid out, there is barely any selection. Most of the dresses there were in the $200-400 range and the quality just wasn't there. There was only really one small room with dresses. The change rooms felt larger than the dress room. Most of the dresses had very thin fabrics and it was obvious they were quickly and cheaply made factory style. Which is fine for some brides, but it wasn't what I was looking for. Other bridal shops had much better quality dresses that were in the $800 range then reduced to around $300.

I had a complete opposite experience at Chester and Felicity. Sarah made me feel so special and my family raved about her for hours afterward. She helped me pick out dresses that would fit my body type and I ended up selecting one of her suggestions! It's perfect. She knew how to fit the dress on me so I could see if I actually liked it or not. I am so grateful for her.

I was shown 4 dresses, starting with the one she thought would suit me best so I had something to compare the rest to (she was right; in the end that one is the one I'm going home with) I put down 50 for layaway; and even bought my daughter a flower girl dress! (saved 170; the dress is STUNNING, and the lace matches mine) I had Krystyna; she was an absolute gem! She was helpful, kind, and gave me lots of time to make my decision. She never once looked down on me for my budget and I really felt like they cared about me and my wedding! She was beautifully kind and patient with my two children; and made my daughter feel like a princess. I would recommend this store to anyone; I ended up with a 1200 dollar dress for 699, and I felt amazing!

My MOH was by my side and knew the style i was looking for prior to arriving. During my appointment my consult asked my style etc. but she was not pulling any dresses that were my preferred style or anything i liked, halfway through i started feeling hopeless so my MOH went through and pulled a few dresses that would suit me and she was then told to sit down because no one other than a consultant was allowed to pull the dresses. Once my MOH started pointing out the potentials things looked up and i eventually found my dress! That being said it was in a size too big and they would not allow me to try the smaller size on even though it was in store, it was i either take the larger size dress or i can wait the week before my wedding to have the size smaller dress shipped to my address, in frustration I ended up buying the dress off the floor and getting it tailored to my size by a seamstress. The consultant also showed signs of pure frustration with me as i would only try on some dresses she picked because i knew they just were not my style. All of my bridesmaids with the exception of one had to pre order a dress. All of the dresses were paid upfront in full and all they had to do was pick up when David's bridal called that it was in. That phone call did not come in and on July 4th she was calling every day for a week and no one could tell her where her dress was. One phone call said that the dress was still not even made yet but could have shipped to her by July 31st, with them well known that my wedding is July 25th. They eventually had to give her a refund and she bought a dress elsewhere due to David's Bridal losing and have no idea where this said dress was that was PAID FOR. Highly recommend going else where if you want to avoid chaos.

Hello On March 10,…read more2025, I went in with my teenage son , to look for a prom suit, and was greeted by a young lady named Nikki. She was very good with me and my son, and was very patient giving us the time we needed to decide what he would like. There was no hovering. She returned to let us know that she was there if there is anything she could help us with, but allowed time for me and my son to discuss what he liked. The service was wonderful, Nikki was friendly and respectful, and my son is very happy with his prom suit purchase, with the shoes. It is an awesome Deal. At one point we noticed a spot or something on the suit jacket and the shoes had bend marks in them, to which Nikki immediately brough out a new suit Jacket and a new pair of shoes. My son was very impressed. It was a great Day and we can't say enough about our experience at Karma. We have passed their name around. Thank You Nikki for your very friendly service, and Thank You Karma, for the handsome prom suit for my son.

The dresses she chose were pretty (meaning something I may actually even wear again!) and my colour! They said 3-4 months for them to come in and even made it easy to buy additional fabric for sleeves (a must for my bust). We ordered today and the girl made it pretty easy. We spent four hours in the store watching her try dresses while scarfing down chocolate-covered strawberries (made in-house). We were all in agreeable when we left that it didn't seem like that long. One of the two girls kept cleaning up after us, which was really nice. Our bride even ended up saying yes to her dress, at which time it was time for champagne! They made the process of paying really easy, splitting it up and letting her pay a portion at a time, as she was also paying for a couple bridesmaids dresses. Even let a bridesmaid put a deposit down. If ever someone was looking for a formal dress store, even without having received the dress, I'd already recommend Karma.

Its small, but they offer a wide selection of supplies. Wire, chain, beads, pearl, and gems to name a few. While their selection leans toward more of a quirky esthetic, there are also some neutral items that will suit different styles. The owners present an inspired and passionate approach to jewelry making with their abundance of self created pieces. They also sell accessories and even offer in-store crafting classes. I'd suggest anybody interested in the craft of jewelry-making to take a gander. Its another source to scout and an opportunity to find something neat. A sweet and pleasant little shop.
