Excellent service on a blocked main-line. Showed up on time, dispatch called me 30 minutes ahead of time. Team had the right equipment (camera, power snake, wax rings, etc...) on-hand and got the job done. They were straight forward with the job, pulled the toilet, ran the camera, ran the snake, cleared the line, re-installed the toilet, cleaned-up and left me with a smile on my cheeks! We have had Charlotte Plumbing visit us 2x in the last 8 months, the first time was for ROOT intrusion on our main line, the second was for blocked main for flushed products. In both instances we had the work done quickly and cleanly. The root-intrusion required them to dig up the front yard and replace the pipes. They showed up at 8am and were done by 4pm. Flushing toilets and taking showers by 5pm. The team members that arrived were clean and picked up after themselves, if they dropped something on the floor they picked it up. The only work I had to do was give the house a mop afterwards for good sanity!

Before. The guy from the gas company I called before I called Charlotte Plumbing said, "This looks fine".

James from Charlotte Plumbing fixed all of my problems in one visit and he did it right THE FIRST TIME. At first, there was a strange smell in the house. I thought it might've been a natural gas leak. I bought a meter on Amazon but it wasn't detecting any gas. As we all know, buying a product like that on Amazon is a hit or miss. Just to be safe, I called the fire department to have someone come out and make sure everything was alright. They used a gas meter to try to detect if there was a gas leak, and they couldn't find ANYTHING. They agreed there was still a strange smell, so I had a company come out and take a look for me. The gas company that came out turned the gas off to my fireplace since the smell seemed to be concentrated mostly in one area of the house right next to the fireplace. They said if the smell goes away in a couple of days then that must've been the culprit. The smell never went away, so they came back to the house to turn the gas back on about 5 days later. The smell started getting worse. I was already having migraines everyday, and now I was starting to get nose bleeds. I asked them if it could be sewer gas since the smell seemed to be worse when I was using the water. They told me that I should go ahead and call a plumber. Before I called the Charlotte Plumbing, I looked opened up the door to the crawl space of the house. It had no smell, and the crawl space is in great shape. I'm not a professional in gas or plumbing, but I wanted to make sure this plumbing company knew I did my due diligence to narrow the problem down. I mentioned the fact that the crawl space seemed perfectly fine, and that the smell seemed to be coming from the baseboard downstairs next to the gas fireplace, but also when I ran a lot of water like laundry. As soon as James stepped in the house, he immediately agreed that the smell was off. Within 5 minutes he detected a gas leak and opened up the wall. He said that the gas leak was so bad the whole house could've blown if I lit a candle or anything in the house. He said the reason why the plumbing seemed tied to it was because the pipes have little vents that suck in air from the crawl space to operate properly. Within 4 hours he fixed the gas leak entirely, and even fixed 3 of my slow running drains in the house. James said, "That surprises me that the gas company couldn't figure this out. They're usually a really good company that's really cautious. The guy that came over must've been new or something. All you have to do is actually listen to the customer and they'll tell you exactly what and where the problem is." I am so impressed by Charlotte Plumbing. James was courteous, respectful, clean (he even wore little protectors over his shoes to protect my wood floors), punctual (they gave me a window of 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM) and James was knocking on my front door at 8:02 AM), and he is a real pro. TLDR: I recommend this company to everyone. 10/10 experience.if you want the job done right the first time, call these guys. They'll save you money, your house, and in my case my life!

Let me start by saying... NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! This was one of the most unprofessional and disorganized contractors I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. The first tech was just plain LAZY and didn't want to work past 5pm (at least that's what his co-workers told me.) Office personnel over the phone was unprofessional from the start. Talking too quickly and over me. Hung up on me. Did not tell me until 10 min before the tech was going to be at my house that they were going to replace the water heater. First tech arrived on time at 3pm on Friday (of the 1-3pm time they gave). Was in a really big hurry. Nearly hit my wife's car parked in the driveway as he came in. Dropped the water heater off and left bc he said he had 30 min to do the job and wasn't going to be able to finish in time. Still no clue why. It was 3pm... why couldn't he do my job? 5:30pm second tech arrived. Spent about an hour removing our original tank which was still functioning, just leaking minimally. New water heater the first tech dropped was the wrong one, too short and didn't have a stand or vent piping. He didnt have another one. He left at 6:30pm on Friday night leaving my wife and baby without hot water. Said another tech will be out tomorrow some time. They closed our work order with our landlord (Invitation Homes) Saturday - wife and baby went to stay with family out of town so they could have hot water but I was stuck at home all day praying a plumber would show up to install the water heater. There was ZERO communication from the office that day. Thankfully the 3rd tech just showed up at around 2:30pm and I was there. Mid way through the job he realized he didnt have the proper tools (pex crimper) and had to drive to Lowes. Came back, got most of the job finished but at the end "couldn't get the burner to light." At around 4:30pm he installed a new part and was able to make it work. It was not properly installed even though it was functioning. He was a super nice guy and I'm glad he showed up. But nothing could salvage the level of unprofessionalism we experienced.

Basement filled with water, found the solution and implemented correction immediately.

I can't speak to anyone else's experience, as this review is all my personal experience and opinion…read moreonly, as I know not everyone will have the same experience and I also know there are some solid techs at this company (I have personally dealth with them), but unfortunately I had a nightmare experience with mutiple bad apples in my opinion, and it unfortunately resulted in the end of my storied relationship with a plumber that I thought would be the last one I would ever need, but as they say if something seems too good to be true it usually is... I thought I had found a plumber for life, but my personal experience with Option One ended up with me feeling as though they exhibited failed ownership in addressing an issue caused by errors from their techs, lack of accountability with regard to said issue and becoming confrontational and argumentative when the issue was brought to their attention. Long story short, I had a plumbing blockage that resulted in my front yard needing to be dug up and new pipes being installed in the yard. Upon completion of the job, I experienced flooding in my yard and requested Option One to come out and address the issue. They tried to claim it was an irrigation issue not their problem, but after getting another Option One tech and a plumber from another company to come out, it was confirmed (via photos) that the flooding was due to Option One failing to connect the piping correctly. Instead of taking ownership and accountability for the issue, I was met with defensiveness, along with the above stated lack of ownership and accountability. At one point in the process I even had to ask one of the techs to leave my property because he had such a dismissive unprofessional attitude. I could go on and on but I have already wasted so much time on dealing with this issue that it isn't worth any more of my time. At the end of the day, I found another company to correct the failed work done by Option One and this company apologized on behalf of Option One, as this company felt bad that I had to go through such an ordeal, given that the plumbing industry is already viewed in a negative light by many, right up there with mechanics, car salesmen and attorneys by some. You can read my past reviews to see how much I praised this company in the past, which is why I was so disappointed by what in my personal option was a complete lack of accountability and ownership by multiple individuals across the Option One company. After giving this company multiple five star reviews over the years, I cannot recommend them to anyone anymore as the trust they gained over the years was lost in an instant and based on my personal experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone moving forward like I have done in the past.
