I ordered a pimiento cheese sandwich on toasted wheat, and a bowl of Brunswick stew with a side of cornbread. First off, the drive thru is set up old school. Simple board, you get to window number one and you order and pay. Drive to the second window and get your food. The gentleman who was at the second window- he was so kind, I wonder if that's the owner. If he isn't, his service is at the same level! I didn't wait to drive back to work. I just parked in the lot (drive thru only) and wolfed down the sandwich. Perfect texture on the toast, the cheese was so good! Homemade, obviously and one thing I'd come back to order with a few crackers and snack on. Toast didn't melt the cheese either. Just a perfect quick bite. The stew was piping hot. Considering it's 85 degrees out, one would think I'd have chosen something less scorching but I can never say no to Brunswick stew. Sadly they must've been out of cornbread because I received oyster crackers, but they were nice to add into the stew. It's hearty and flavorful. I'll be back here to try other things. Consistently watched employees making food and taking food outside, going in and out for smoke breaks and to bring orders to people's cars without changing to clean gloves before touching food. Sat for over 45 min observing this behavior from all levels of staff and ownership. Also noticed filth on fast food windows and window seals. Considering employees are touching food with the same gloves as windows and doors this needs to be remedied asap. Otherwise food was tasty and appropriate temperatures and atmosphere is nice. Waitstaff is polite and courteous but does nor follow up with tables for drink refills or to ask if customers need anything g additional. read more

No big deal I told them that today when I ordered and a man came to the window and was rude about it saying I should have called the day it happened. Haven't been here in 15 years and it's as good as I remember. Always love adding pimento cheese to my order. The hotdogs are steamed which adds to their taste experience. They sell lots of other stuff too. I noticed the have a scrambled dog on the menu, a salute to lieutenant Stevens at dinglewood pharmacy in Columbus Georgia where it was first created. exceptional chili dog here. tomato relish is a spicy surprise which was well received. it's a premium weenie with a nice pop lain in a fresh deep cut bun which allows topping and chili especially to ride the dog well. chili is a hodge lodge of paprika and chili powder that is better on thursday than it is on monday. onions are chopped medium fine and fresh served cold so they are crisp. service is pleasant and agreeable. it's not in your face but it's there if you want to know the way to Cuthbert. pimento cheese looked appealing but we had come for the chili dogs so did not sample. the place is inviting so we are sure to return to sample the hardy brunswick stew and that 'early on a frosty morn look away' pimento cheese. read more

I have resided in Lagrange, Ga my whole life and I can not say that I've ever met someone who can't stand CJ's. This restaurant has been family operated for generations and I think at the rate they are moving they'll be open for many more generations to come. They have managed to make the simplest dishes into something so indulging and superb. Its a great environment for children. I was only in town for the weekend and decided to try out Charlie Joseph's because I love diner type places. The décor lives up to the hype, I love the charming 50's family atmosphere. I tried a hot dog and the chili burger. They aren't very big, you could easily eat several but they are good and the price is right if you want to eat more!
