Checked out Barrow House after a farmers market visit and it was packed for a Sunday right at noon…read more Every room has a different vibe which makes the space feel really cozy and interesting instead of just one big dining room. We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

We dined at the bar as we were seeking a drink and a light snack. Calamari was GF and delicious (wish it was more crispy tho)! We also ordered the GF dry rub wings. Amazing, crispy, flavorful! Ambiance: 10/10 Drinks: 9/10 Food: 9/10 Parking: 10/10 I wish the bar staff smiled. Though they were great at serving us and providing us our items accurately, most had the energy of a deflated balloon. A smile could have went the wrong way, or even a proper greeting. I'm going to assume it was simply a long day, and hope to see them in the future hopefully on a better note. They still received a 22% tip for their service.

With over 180 wing flavors to choose from, the only problem you will have is deciding because you will want to explore this seemingly never ending list. These are a couple of the wings I explored: Peanut Butter & Jelly Wings: These wings were smothered in creamy peanut butter with a heaping mound of jelly. At first I was reluctant to explore this unusual combination, but as soon as I gave it a try, it was love at first bite. Feel free to smear or dip; the choice is yours. S'mores Wings: This is another unique, but unbelievably savory combination. These dessert style wings were smothered in marshmallow cream, drizzled with chocolate syrup, and sprinkled with crushed pieces of graham crackers. It was a sight for sore eyes. If you need additional chocolate sauce don't be afraid to ask for "s'more." And make sure you request "s'more" napkins because you will certainly need them! In addition to the wings, I also explored one of the main courses. Blue 42 Burger: Named after the restaurant, this burger is topped with mozzarella sticks, blue cheese crumble and bacon. The Blue 42 char on top of the bun has a nice decorative touch. If you are a fan of the Green Bay Packers, you have come to the right spot. The interior is decorated with Packers memorabilia, which even includes wall art on the ceiling. All fans are still welcome even if you aren't an aficionado of the Packers. The restaurant staff also supports New Jersey's finest, New Jersey's bravest, the ambulance corp, and the armed forces. I truly enjoyed dining at this local bar and I see why their wings are high profile. #blue42 #wingman #wingmanblue42 #blue42elmwoodpark #blue42burger #smoreswings #smores #peanutbutterandjelly #peanutbutterandjellywings #pbj #pbjwings #elmwoodparknj #GreenBayPackersFans #njfinest #njbravest #AmbulanceCorp #armedforces

There is a real…read morecase here of not being able to see the forest for the trees when faced with nearly 200 varieties, many of which, upon closer inspection, amount to the same handful of flavors rearranged into slightly different combinations. It feels rooted in the same philosophy that says a man buys three suits and somehow discovers endless outfits within them. But is there anything wrong with just three good suits? Do all possible combinations truly have value? At what point does variety become a little ridiculous? That said, the bones -- so to speak -- are very good. The wings are fried well, generously sauced, and satisfying in whatever flavor palette you ultimately settle on. Just do not expect the decision-making process to come easily.

Here are 10 great spots with great eats in North Jersey Check out this article from NorthJersey.com: Looking for a dive bar? Here are 10 great spots with great eats in North Jersey " This family-owned joint in downtown Paterson is an unabashed Irish-inspired dive bar, popular for its shuffleboard, dart boards, live music, the party it puts on St. Patrick's Day and its down-to-earth, hearty grub. Crammed with old-time memorabilia -- sepia-toned photographs and police and firefighters plaques and keepsakes -- and home to a humongous fish tank, Duffy's is where the neighborhood goes for a hot lunch, a cold drink and a satisfying supper. " Awesome too is Duffy's well-loved ribeye cheesesteak, eight ounces of slow-cooked beef smothered in sautéed onions, mushrooms and melted cheese served on homemade garlic bread. If you're yearning for eats from the Emerald Isle, tuck into a hearty helping of Duffy's popular corned beef and cabbage or its beer-battered fish and chips. Enjoy the eats indoors -- or on the heated patio, which has its own bar and mounted TV sets. Every day, holidays too. In its 40-something years, Duffy's never closed its doors -- except when it was required to for COVID-19.
