I was pleasantly surprised!…read more What a cool spot! Located not far from Prudential Center.. came here for Wednesday night karaoke. Found street parking with no meter which was great. Smaller spot, but you don't feel like you're on top of each other. It reminded me of a Village kinda spot.. very dark interior... but a whole vibe. Bathrooms were really clean.. nice bar in the back of the space. The only reason I will give it 4 is because even though the drinks were reasonably priced, the bartender wasn't making the best drinks... you could barely tell that there was any alcohol in them.. I had to order an extra shot just to make it taste good. I think she needed some help because she seemed sorta flustered in taking care of everyone. I would definitely return!! Especially for karaoke!

Ehhhh I was hoping to love it but was underwhelmed. Great house music DJ which I specifically went…read morefor on a Sunday night but the crowd was a bit off. A mixture of either old, sketchy, no sex appeal and rough around the edges. The dance floor was packed and the music was on point. There was some people that set up food in the back but it left a trail of an odor that was not appetizing. Drinks were ok at best but when I asked for a cup with ice it seemed to be an issue. Very off putting. Not quite sure what the issue was.... The bartender brought the manager over and I had to specify I wanted it for my beer. Yes, I'm a weirdo if I don't get a frosted glass, I'll take a cup with ice. The manager proceeds to ask me ; "So you want me to pour the beer into the cup with ice?" UMMM yes I don't mind pouring it my damn self but if it makes you more comfortable, knock yourself out. It truly didn't make a difference to me who poured it, I just wanted some damn ice to cool myself off! I'm not sure what type of sketchy and shady people they deal with but I am not the one. My boyfriend and I run a good tab on drinks, give me what I'm asking for and paying for! Meanwhile, I did not see just about any of the 30-40 people on the dance floor buy a drink. I then saw hookah's on a table and the price list. Unfortunately, they were not providing hookah service that night. So why have them out? Whewwww I love my house music community and love the Lincoln Park festival that is close to the bar but this past Sunday this bar and crowd missed the mark. The only redeeming factor was the DJ. I highly doubt I'd return unless it were to vibe out and dance to a DJ I reaaaaallly love.

just now NEW I went…read morethere for a memorial day event. The place is huge and very beautiful. The venue was nice, the waitress was nice. I witnessed a man security guard man handle a woman out of no where. The woman was trying to calm her friend down and leave the place because things started to get out of control. The Security guard grab the lady in a choke hold to throw her out of the establishment. At the same time there were woman security guards there screaming and exchanging explicit words I thought the duties of security is to calm and deescalate the situation. The club need to have better training with their guards and staff. Security guard here said he "didn't care" in the middle of throwing everyone out and started getting heated. Other guards had to stop him cuz people were not having his disrespectfulness..

Yet...we did get street parking (free) our car was still there when we left (yay) and we had a good time. The servers were attentive and as long as we didn't stand too close to folks by the bar (it was crowded) no shade or side eye was thrown. Shout out to the $50.00 ticket holders who hung in the back! The slight negatives were: ( insert drumroll please!) - We paid $50.00 for our tickets and had to wait in line for people to buy tickets. Huh? (still scratching my head over that one) - Coat check was $5.00 (some folks had kept their coat on??) - Drink options were very limited and pricey (if in doubt go for a Margarita) no, they don't have flavors or sugar/salt rim so don't ask! - All, I repeat All tables are bottle service only (no service? NO SEAT.) - They do have some free seating close to the entrance in the main hall but the couches go quickly so plan on wearing comfortable shoes. -The stage is all the way in the FRONT of the club so be prepared to push through folks on folding chairs with bottle service to get there. -When we went on a Saturday they had metal guards up and security in place so we could not get onto the dance floor, or near the stage. So at the end of the day the moral of the story is, pre-game your drink at home and UBER/carpool yourself over OR bring cash for a limited selection of drinks, bring people you like to stand/dance with, wear comfortable shoes, have an open mind, a smile on your face and take it with a grain of salt. Oh wait! They don't have salt...

It was easy to find parking nearby on the street, we walked in and were immediately sat down. Service was great throughout the meal. The server did speak primarily to us in Creole. I can see how that may not work for someone who is not Haitian. Maybe having someone who did speak a mix. However, he was very nice and the food came out fast and was delish. Shared a griot fritay to start and it was definitely tasty and portion was good. For entree I had the legume with Beef with black rice. Tasty, spicy, and very authentic tasting. I can say they stay true to the flavors and don't water them down. The drink was ehh. I did not taste much liquor in the creole punch. Not worth it in my opinion. In terms of ambiance, I wish better music was playing. The set up was cool. Nothing amazing. If I was in the area again, I would come back.

I was able to order a cocktail (mangotini) made just the way I liked it and it was super delicious. My companions ordered food which took some time come out. I will mention one thing I stated to the bartender....The bar chairs are INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. These seats were not made to fit full size adult derrière. Good vibe.
