A chain that boasts that they have the #1 cheesesteak in the world is something to be weary of, because as a place with a lot of locations that aren't in Philadelphia, it's simply a VERY bold claim. That being said, Charley's may very well have some of the best cheesesteaks in the world at a VERY good value. You can get a giant (the largest size is about a foot+ long) cheesesteak for $10, and is filled up enough to keep you full for the rest of the day. They offer both chicken and beef steaks, with pretty unique options like a pepperoni, "California" toppings, and what I ordered, bacon and jalepeños. The bread, even while being toasted, is soft and delicious. On the side, they offer fries and the usual fountain drinks. The fries are alright, but they offer loaded fries with bacon and ranch that are absolutely delicious. Don't look at the calories. In terms of seating, this location is in the Staten Island mall food court, so there is a LOT of seating even at the most busy times of the day.

Charley's is a cheesesteak and sandwich chain that you find in a lot of malls, and they've been a fixture in both the old and new versions of the Staten Island Mall food court. They've got a bunch of different sandwiches on the menu, and my favorites are the chicken philly (with onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and provolone) and the turkey cheddar melt. While I may not agree with the chain's proclamation that they are the #1 cheesesteak in the world, the sandwiches are solid, and the prices are a good deal. Hard to beat $5.49 for a small chicken philly and fries. Even when there's a line, they move pretty quickly, and I appreciate that they're one of the quickest options in the food court.

Run of the mill Mall food court stand. This is one of the oldest if not the oldest one here. If grungy it's not a Philly cheesesteak but it's better then Charley's and it's probably the best of the court ,not like it has much competition. The price isn't bad but the it's not much meat. The ratio bread to meat is way off. I always ask them to only use half the bread but they never know what I mean so o have to order extra meat and cheese just to make the sandwich work. It's something I grab maybe once a year or so. But it still is much better then the other cheesteak stand in the court.

    Ultimate fries and strawberry lemonade.

Fast, friendly, good service. Place looked clean. Depending what you get it can be cheap or expensive- a large sandwich, large drink, and ultimate fries came to $15.00. Bur you could get a regular sandwich with a combo meal for under $10. Sandwich tasted good. Ultimate fries are okay. Good place for lunch.

Cooked right in front of you while you wait. Pretty quick and seems good. Cooked hibachi style. Tasted great! Bread was a bit to hard.. Might be outdated. Or just not my norm. I would buy more in the future of it was in a wrap or something. But overall the meat was good.. And everything else I added. Will come back!

I'm surprised I had to add this business to yelp! I can't believe nobody had ever thought to add it. This is my go to place when I'm at the mall and hungry for a good meal. The cheesesteak is delicious, the bread is always fresh and the fries are fresh cut and homemade. It's one of the few places that has a city and its name that actually lives up to the original item from that city. That certainly isn't the case with "New York" named bagel places in Florida.

I had a chicken cheesesteak sandwich and it was great. Their fries were ok but the sandwich made up for it.

Bay Ridge continues its steep decline in the food scene with this cheesesteak wannabe restaurant…read more I have been to Philadelphia and had my fair share of cheesesteaks there. Some really good, some not so good, most somewhere in between. This one falls closer to the second option, and not just because this cash only joint (boo...) charges $13 for one, and it is pretty small. For an extra $9, you get fries and a drink. I took the deal, not realizing the fries are your traditional "bowling alley fries". I took one bite and threw the rest away. $9 extra wasted away. As for the steak itself, it is quite hit or miss. They also try to jazz it up to the point where it can be completely unrecognizable if you wish. No thanks. A good steak is just ribeye steak and a choice of three cheeses, Cheez Whiz, White American, or Provolone. Stop the nonsense with Yellow American. Also, the roll should be strictly Amoroso. I did not see that here. I already deduct two stars for lack of authenticity. The final star deduction comes in the form of an inconsistent steak. Throughout the experience, I was getting different bites each time I took a bite. Some bites were really good, others were flat. The steak is also cooked with far too much salt for my liking. I also felt the customer service was flat too. There was no knowledge of the menu items except for the sesame roll. The roll is also too chewy for this kind of sandwich. They also serve pizza, but it does not make any sense to me why. Honestly, it did not look good in the display case when I saw it. I am taking it off my favorites and will not be returning. Not every cheesesteak has to be a John's Roast Pork or a Tony Luke's, but a little more effort could put this little hole in the wall joint in Bay Ridge closer to them.

To order for Pardon My Cheesesteak you MUST do it through the app. If you know what you want, he will take your order at the counter & then you pay at the Welsh Farm register. The menu for PMC is on the wall behind the counter, but that's for the employees to see. A very confusing start. Anyway, I ordered the Chipotle Cheesesteak. I happened to be there when the worker was finishing my sandwich & he said to me "I have bad news for you. There's no more chipotle sauce," as he struggled to get just a few globs onto my cheesesteak. He told me if I come back another day, he'll be sure to put extra sauce on my cheesesteak, & I told him "you never have a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression," but we were both able to laugh about the situation. My rating is based upon the taste & presentation of the cheesesteak itself, as the amount of chipotle was just enough to tease my palate with how much better it could have been with that sauce on it. So, at some point I guess I'll go back & give it another go & adjust the rating from there. I definitely feel it can go up. Large sandwich, FULL of gooey & delicious cheese, cooked onions. I decided to get a margherita slice, and I saw these little balls. I asked what they were, and he said "potato croquettes." they came in an order of three. I got my food and I took it back to my hotel. It was amazing. The slice, the dough was perfectly thin, not tough at all, it was a very good quality cheese, I could definitely taste the basil, and the sauce underneath was amazing. The croquettes, they were not over breaded or over fried, they were very tender. The potato inside was creamy and delicious, and they came with an amazing marinara for dipping. This wasn't just your normal tomato sauce. This marinara had a deep rich flavor that went perfect with the croquettes. The price was extremely reasonable for what I got. They are cash only, but they do have ATM at the entrance to the store. I'm a fan. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will be back. Thank you.
