Walking around the mall getting hungry,so we decided to hit the food court . Tired of the same ol Asian mall food I thought I would try some wings. Lmfao I really messed up . I got the spicy lemon pepper and loaded fries. The wings tasted like they were previously boiled and then fried , dry and chewy no bueno. The fries were okay covered in a lukewarm warm nacho type cheese and bacon bits. They were limp and crispy at the same time my advice eat them first and fast because the cheese got cold fast and inedible I did not finish my meal the below pic shows what was not consumed. Had lunch here today was impressed by the flavor and the service . However I had a 10% coupon online from Yelp and they refused to honor this . I was shocked to hear the excuses . For example the POS system will not take it ! Oh we have a different owner that does not take coupons . Oh the other restaurant takes them Clackamas town Center . Some of these comments came from a girl with purple hair and black makeup serving the sandwich . She was friendly before I showed her my 10% online coupon . The cashier was really great she offered to stamp my sandwich card . A big shout out to her for being sweet and trying to work something out . So as we were sitting at the table in the food court the night manager Jeremiah came up to us and talked to us for a while . He was very nice in explaining the situation not being able to take the 10% coupon from me . I explained I am on Yelp and because of my status and reviews I get these as perks sometimes. He understood that and expressed how different this location is to the other one at Clackamas. Example the food is different . Here at Washington Square they buy from Charley's direct the other location does not. This is a big difference. The Clackamas location takes coupons and this one does not hmmmmm . I explained it would probability be a huge plus for this location to honor the yelp coupons and I am sure it would not cost the business. Just my opinion . Pretty good, with lots of options in the food court area I only got the philly cheese steak sub because I also got Chinese food from another spot . I would say the best part of the sub was the bread! It was just the right amount of crispy , the steak on the other hand was a bit wierd not in the taste but they way it looked....it looked more like chicken then steak and there was I think just a little to much cheese on it. We ordered the buffalo boneless wings with original fries, bone-in all flats wings in Cajun dry rub and Cajun fries, and a Philly cheese steak with provolone, extra onions, extra mushrooms and green peppers. Only positive thing I can say is that our order arrived in a timely fashion. The boneless wings were lil nuggets the size of a quarter, or like the little crumbles you find at the bottom of the bag. The bone-in wings were tiny, very little meat on them and the meat that was there had been severely overcooked. Plus I payed extra for the 6 wings to be flats and received only one flat, the rest drummies. And the cheese steak... Sandwich had only three strings of onion, no mushrooms, dry meat. Everything arrived lukewarm. I really wanted to like this place since it's close to home and had two of my faves- wings and cheese steak sammies. The search goes on. read more

Philly one doesn't even come close have the taste of original one. Cheese taste is big too overpowering. No added jalapeño. It's optional. Service need lot of improvement. If I could leave zero stars I would. I drove to the mall to wonder maybe do some shopping and grab a bite. Charley's philly steaks is one of my favorites, I got to the mall at 10:30 went to the food court to try and beat the rush went to Charley's no one was there wondered around for 45mins still no body was there every other food court was open but all the Charley's staff was goofing off in the back. Not trying to get anyone in trouble but I'm a very punctual person and opening on time and being to work and ready on time is what everyone should strive for. So if you want your food when someone feels like showing up or when they want to come out and help you feel free to stand outside for an hour before realizing that the philly cheese steak your waiting for isn't worth it. Sorry about run on sentences and not perfect grammar. It's just irritating how lazy some people are. So 5 months ago I wrote this review about Charley's in Washington square mall and haven't came back to them until today, and my opinion on them has not changed in one bit got my food and sat down and it was freezing cold, their customer service is getting worse and if you ask for anything added on to your sandwich the employees act like it's the end of the f#%king world so if your thinking about coming here go to the clackamas town center Charley's see how the customer service is and then come to this one, it's literally night and day. This is a typical national "fast food "franchise food place. Portions are pretty good, fries are alright, staff is capable. As a whole though... meh. Today I tried their BBQ Cheddar Steak sandwich. I don't honestly know what I was expecting. Perhaps I was hoping for more than is possible. Meat was hot. Cheese was gooey. Grilled onions were grilled. Crunchy onions were straight from the can. BBQ tasted like some cheap bottled sauce. Buns were toasted. That's pretty much it. Ok, so I was hungry. I spent 5 minutes walking around the food court trying to decide what to get to eat. After two trips around I was drawn back to Charley's Philly Steaks. The picture of that Bacon 3 Cheesesteak was the bait that caught and lured this hungry sucker in. As I waited for my food I couldn't take my eyes off the picture of that amazing sandwich... then it came! At first I thought it was a joke, no really, I thought the guy was messing with me but when he just walked away I realized that he really didn't forget to put the meat on it. I took the fork and frantically dug through the the sliver of tomato, the sorry looking pickles and the processed cheese to finally find it. There it was, barely visible, all piled in the middle. I couldn't believe my eyes, I just paid almost $7 for a sandwich that had so little meat, it could almost be called meatless. I posted the pics so you can decide for your self. I also have worked in a kitchen before and know how busy it gets! They try their best especially bc the amount of business! It's tasty food just be patient! They're always ready to remake a sandwich if it's not okay! Also just a recommendation to the chefs I like to use a charcoal brick on the flat top every single night with oil and wash everything away with ice at the end of the night! This was my first time at Charley's Philly Steak. I was excited to try to ultimate fries. When the order was ready I went to pick it up without knowing I had to pick toppings. The employee offered the basic lettuce tomato and mayo and while I was looking at the other options within a few seconds she moved on to the next customer and handed me my order. We went to order and the whole family was very indecisive on what they wanted to order and unfortunately we took very long time to order, meanwhile they were super patient with our big family, knowing they had a big line behind us!
