As a person who has travelled the US I've been to many Charley's and this one is just average. The service people, there were TONS of them, were very nice and polite, they all wanted to help get the order completed in a timely manner . Their prices are still a little high and whenever you want to add on something it costs a dollar here and a dollar there so they rake it in for sure. I ordered the philly cheese steak mainly because I like them. They were super skimpy on the onions, peppers, and mushrooms which is one of the best things about it. I also ordered the ultimate fries. Super skimpy on the cheese and ranch but ok on the bacon. For the price you pay you'd think that you would get more for your money. I would be afraid to ask for more because they would charge me an extra arm and leg for it. I also ordered the peach lemonade and it was very good and would recommend it to anyone! My daughter and I hit up Charley's after we went to the Toy Show at the mall and the experience wasn't that great. The employees were nice and understandably seemed a bit flustered considering how busy it was. I got a regular cheesesteak combo. Totally not worth the money. It took a whole to receive the food. I don't make it to this part of town or the mall often usually only once or twice more during the winter holiday, however, if you are hungry it's hands down the best food to grab at Gateway Mall. Great customer service and my favorite Philly sandwich. Everyone is really nice and you definitely get what you pay for. My favorite is the deluxe philly with everything add black olives, mayo, lettuce, and jalapeños. Loaded fries are good too or just regular fries with their vinegar packets. Yum. read more

Not very good Cheesesteaks. $4.99 special is a good price for the chicken Cheesesteaks and fries but the quality and taste are not very good. For flavor your better off with another food court option like Panda Express or Habachi Son, or if your in the mood for Cheesesteaks visit Davincis or call them up as they deliver. When I go out of town with my family I like to try new things. Today was one of those days. All I wanted to do was read the menu and you're cashier was constantly pushing me to order. There is nothing I hate more than a pushy food service person. There was no one behind me, you didn't miss your break I'm sure. In turn, I ended up with a crappy sandwich that wasn't what I wanted at all for ten dollars. Thanks Charley's for that first time experience. We won't be back. read more

I've always enjoyed the food, and it's close to where I work which is why I keep being a frequent customer. My main problem with this establishment is that some of the employees are rude and they don't pay attention and one time screwed up my order. I don't know how many times I've told the cashier I want the food "to go" and they still put dine in on the receipt and then I have to explain to the person making my cheese steak that I need it to go. There was one time the sandwich makers were talking amongst themselves, ignoring me and going at a snail's pace and in that process they messed up my order. At least they made it up to me and apologized but it's incredibly off putting when the employees for the most part act like I don't exist. read more
