A Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, so "busy" was not an issue. The space inside is nice; tables and seating around the perimeter, a few high-top tables for bigger-size parties, I suppose. I ordered a large Chicken Philly with extra mushrooms so I'd get a couple of meals out of it. The sandwich was good. It would be even better if the chicken were a tad more tender/juicy, but this is somewhat expected when dealing with "shaved meat" sandwiches. All in all, my sandwich was good. Their fries are cut thicker than, say, Wendy's, and had good, lite seasoning. Had a sample of their Mango Lemonade, and it was good too. Not overly sweet, good mango flavor (is it syrup?), a little lemon kick to remind you what the base is. A solid filling meal. read more

It was ok. I had the chicken cheesesteak and they barely put any mushrooms or onions on it. My husband got a Philly with whiz and it was better than the chicken Philly for sure. The fries were practically raw, they were so pale and undercooked. Overall just meh. read more

Their phone number doesn't even work. Every time you call it says "sorry your call did not go through". I placed an online order for delivery and the expected arrival time is an hour and 30 minutes after I placed the order. Closing early and canceling door dash orders that were sent 2.5 hours before the website said it was to close. Then attempting to go through the drive thru on a separate occasion, was told in that drive thru they were closed an hour before the operation hours. read more

First time trying out Charleys subs. I ordered the original Philly cheese steak sub. I had to drive home, so the sandwich wasn't warm when I ate it, but was still pretty good. The tomato and lettuce added an extra crisp. Could have used a little more Mayo. read more

I was in Lancaster on vacation and stopped at this cheesesteak restaurant that I have a favorable opinion of in South Florida. I came in on Sunday around 3:30 PM, I waited for the gentleman to come up and take my order, surprised that five or six other employees were standing around doing nothing. I ran through my order of 10 large steak sandwiches And repeated the order a second time because the person taking the order wasn't paying attention or lack of focus, not sure which. Then he politely says oh I'm sorry, we don't have any tomatoes to complete your order. Yum! I love Charleys. The food is great. The people are great. They really go the extra mile to make it right. The manager truly cares about the customers' experiences with the food. That said, the drive thru at this location is atrocious. It's a one lane, wrap-around, one-way nightmare. If I can see cars from the road, I usually skip this place because I know I'll be stuck for a while. This is not a fast-in/fast-out pickup place. If you order ahead of time, you'll need to go into the building. That's not bad, unless employees wearing face-masks under their noses or only on their chins bothers you. Overall, this is a fantastic "fast-food" option. I just wish they'd figure out a way to upgrade the drive-thru experience. read more

Went here for the first time a few days ago and told the girl it was our first time so didn't know if I could order things a certain way. It was really good but went today and different girl working and it was awful. Not newscaster of her, it was just bland and just not good. Thought I found my new favorite place but I was sadly wrong, won't waste $25 on a cpl bland sandwiches again. Disappointing is not a strong enough comment. Philly cheesesteak was a complete and udder disaster. It was a lifeless piece of cheese on inferior beef, not wonderfully cut and grilled together as a quality cheesesteak is prepared. My dog refused it. I'll say no more. The boneless "wings" were sad, dry nuggets and came with the wrong sauce. At 70 cents each they were no bargain. Don't try them! Line long due to restaurant being new even though there is one in the mall less than two miles away that honestly does a much better job making the same menu items. Lots of employees, a General manager, a guy who might be a manager wearing blue button down shirt (maybe a Corporate guy), and a man and a woman who looked like owners not wearing a uniform or a cheap employee T-shirt all crammed into a virtually unchanged kitchen recycled from the last restaurant. Lots of machines and people in the kitchen working with little room to move. Dining area small, small eating area outside which is unusable at this time due to rainy weather from the remnants of Hurricane Florence. I ordered boneless wings for 2 with spicy molasses bbq sauce that comes with 2 drinks and fries for 2. Boneless wings $17.95 for 15, bone-in wings are $19.95. In my opinion you get the same amount of meat without the bone waste. Consumers get to pay an extra two bucks for chicken bones they are going to throw in the garbage. I also ordered a Bacon Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms,onion, and green peppers and two regular original Philly cheesesteaks with mayo, onion, and green peppers. 17 minute wait after order was taken. Priority obviously is to the drive thru window customers. General manager brought out food to customers, he was trying to be friendly and funny, visibly made customers uncomfortable. He is kind of greasy and slightly disheveled a bit, his uniform is faded and too dirty for a GM and he gets in your personal space. Ditch the funny and stick to "Thank You for choosing Charley's enjoy your meal" or "Have a good night". Fries cold and soggy when we sat down to eat at home. Flimsy thin cardboard containers with large gaps and closure holes guarantee you will have cold soggy food when you get home or work. Boneless wings were kind of warm, the flavor of the molasses bbq sauce was good, but chicken and flavor is just like BW3's down the road nothing there is nothing unique about it at all except for the lingering aftertaste of hot spices. Cheesesteak sandwiches disappointing, white American cheese instead of provolone or mozzarella cheese, a few onions and no green peppers on any of the sandwiches. Meat appears to be a second thought, plenty of mushrooms though, way more mushrooms than meat! Meat was over cooked and dry, mushrooms are canned mushrooms and not grilled with the meat. Bacon Philly Steak also had white American cheese, should have been provolone, bacon and steak was fried hard both dry and brittle. This meal was not worth the $42.16 price tag. Luckily the cashier wasn't really listening to me when I ordered. He mistakenly entered a small sandwich into the computer instead of the medium sized one, my bill would have been around $7 more for the larger bun. read more

Tried to get food in the drive thru because the inside was closed only to find out that due them being short staffed they are only take on line orders dor pick up in the drive thru. I am not all sure how they have enough people to do online ordering and not let anyone place an order at the drive thru but whatever. I just kisked dirt on it nad went elsewhere. My husband and I went here to eat for lunch. It was the nicest experience we've had at a restaurant in quite some time. The food was delicious, and you got quite a bit for what you pay. The atmosphere was delightful, staff was nice and professional. The restaurant was also extremely clean, and the cooking area was very clean. I've seen restaurants with food sitting out getting warm. They didn't have that here. I was very happy with the experience. read more
