When I started planning my wedding in January, I felt like Ooh Events was going to make my life…read moremuch easier. By the time the wedding came around, I couldn't wait to be done working with them. Here the key reasons I'd avoid working with them if I were planning: 1. My original planner was sweet but disorganized and lacked follow-through. I had paid for the design and coordination package, and she wasn't delivering on the design elements. And it's not like these packages are cheap! 2. That planner either got fired or quit, but that was news to me until I showed up in Charleston for my tastings and tours. I texted her only to find out then that she was no longer with the company. No one at Oh Events had reached out to me. When I called them to see what was going on, they played it off and tried to place all the blame on the old planner. When I emailed the owner Lisa, she did not take any accountability for the situation and again tried to play it off. The one saving grace was Carissa, who seemed to know what she was doing and tried to be helpful. 3. After that whole debacle, I had a few different people working on the wedding. The lead was Amanda and she was definitely an improvement. She was good with follow through and responsive. During the wedding, she seemed to keep things moving smoothly enough and she even gave us a ride at the end of the night. I would have liked her to be reaching out to me more proactively but I got the sense that she was overworked and newer. 4. The one place where Amanda dropped the ball is with our cake at the end of the night. We had discussed having the top tier sent home with my in-laws. On Sunday, I asked my mother-in-law if she got the cake and she said she never got it, so I asked Amanda what happened. That's when she told me she hadn't been able to get the cake, so I asked her to contact the venue to see where it was. Again, I had to be the one to follow up a few days later to see what happened with that. That's when she told me that they couldn't find it but that I was welcome to call the venue and sort it out. It's not my job to sort that out and again they should be taking responsibility for losing our top tier. I have yet to hear back on what they will do but don't expect they will do anything bc that is the type of company they are. We also used them for rentals and florals. Kaitlyn from florals is a bit terse over email but Susanne was lovely in person. The flowers were nice though the bouquets weren't fresh and starting to wilt already when we got them. Not sure what happened with the florals at the end of the night. Rentals were fine but a bit pricey. They also have weird fees added on (flip fee for example) and we had to pay extra to the venue since the rental team wanted to be there early. Overall, Ooh Events seems to be all over the place and I wouldn't recommend them to a friend.

I have used ohhEvents previously and always had a good experience. This was my first experience…read morewith Curated Events after they acquired ohhEvents and it was the complete opposite. I rented table and chairs over the Christmas holiday. The items I received were in terrible condition. The chairs and tables was both filthy and the chairs were missing manny of their end caps forcing me to go to the hardware store to purchase covers so they would not damage my floors. I returned the items and followed up with the representative. I was responded to saying that my message was being sent to management on the 29th and I would hear back soon. It is now the 8th and no response yet.

This was seriously the BEST investment I did for my wedding! The process of booking a photo booth…read morewith Charleston Party Booth was such a breeze from start to finish! There are so many different photo booths to choose from! Cathy was our photo booth attendant, and she did an incredible job. She had reached out to me over a week before our wedding to follow up on a few lose ends, such as photo preferences, and backgrounds, etc. I had several questions, she was very kind, courteous, professional, and polite when addressing any questions or concerns that I may have had. Since my wedding was on Halloween, I asked if I could purchase a special backdrop for the wedding and they were more than happy to oblige. The booth was an absolute HIT at the wedding. PSA- If you are debating on having a phot booth or not, JUST DO IT!! It made so many amazing memories for myself, and my guests. Cathy, you were wonderful! Thank you so much for such a memorable night! Highly recommend Charleston Party Booth!!

I recently had the pleasure of renting tables, chairs, plates, glasses, silverware, an oyster…read moretable, all under a lighted tent with heaters, all from Tailor Made. Tammy was fantastic to work with, and so was her crew setting up and tearing down. This was for a 60th birthday party, which turned out to be on the coldest night of December, but you wouldn't have known that once it started. It's still being talked about today. Tammy not only rents, but she's kinda an event consultant. She had a lot of questions - had I thought of this, had I thought of that, what where good numbers to rent considering the size of the guest lists. Things I hadn't considered. I'm from out-of-town, so she visited my site to vet the tent anchors and placement. Yes, of course it does add to the bottom-line, but the bottom-line for an event is success, isn't it? And that's what we had. We were in need of nothing, because Tammy asked, and we used everything. I heartily recommend them. Tailor Made is first in my rolodex for any future event I throw.

I used ATME for my wedding rentals and unfortunately I cannot recommend them to other brides. I…read morehad a very hard time getting in touch with ATME and communication was not easy. I booked ATME back in March, and when I had my numbers finalized in October, I contacted ATME to settle all the items I needed and after sending countless number of emails, I finally had to call in order to get a hold of Tammy from ATME and go through my invoice. It's really hard to go through invoices over the phone, and I would have preferred to do this over email but phone was the only way to get a hold of anyone. After finalizing the order, I was ready to pay the rest of the invoice, but was told it was too late to send her a check to pay as it was past the 45 days out until the wedding mark, so she charged me a 3% credit card fee. I tried to explain to her that this was not my fault since she was not answering my emails and impossible to contact until then, and that I was also paying her with a debit card but she did not understand. The other frustrating part was talking to her about the colors of the linens and linens in general. The website does not have color swatches clearly listed. So while on the phone, she had to text them to me and every color I picked she said they were out of stock. If I had known in March she was out of stock of the my colors I would have looked elsewhere. Most infuriating she kept pushing the color beige as a suggestion and that is the last color I wanted. Luckily I made it work by asking her if she could look at other materials and such or flip the colors with the table sizes etc. I had to remind her a few times to explain to me what table size goes with which linens as I don't do this for a living and it gets confusing. Another mishap that happened was on the invoice, she charged me twice for a set of linens which I didn't see until the weekend before my wedding. Once again, I emailed and got no response, so I called. It took a long time for her to understand what I was talking about, but when she finally understood, she told me she wouldn't refund me until AFTER my wedding, which didn't make any sense to me but she said due to it being past the 30 days out until my wedding mark, she had to make sure she got all of her rentals back before making a refund and that typically she doesn't process refunds, which made no sense at all. I sent several emails, called her, but she refused to send me the refund until after the wedding, which she did send me though the day after my wedding. We were told to pick up the linens the day before the wedding, as we rented linens for our rehearsal dinner from ATME. When we went to pick up, Tammy told us we actually didn't need to pick up all the linens, which surprised us since all over the invoice it said we were to pick them all up and we had spent all morning making arrangements to do so. The day of the wedding, unfortunately things did not run smoothly. The 8 foot tables were left off and the truck had to drive back to Summerville to go get them, one of the easels I rented was so rusted it broke, and so one of my items I wanted displayed didn't get displayed (I'm still in the process of trying to get a refund for this), several of the cushions and chairs were dirty, and one of the ties of the cushions was torn and we couldn't tie it to the chair. ATME has better prices than some of the other companies around Charleston but after my experiences and seeing the quality of the rentals, I can't give ATME 5 stars.
