Excellent Dr. Dr Griggs she is compassionate, excellent…read morelistener, deeply knowledgeable and detailed oriented. I recently moved to Chicago and was in search of an OBGYN. After looking at endless reviews, I selected Dr Griggs as my top choice. I am so glad I did. Dr Griggs is the most compassionate Doctor I have ever met; she took the time to go through my medical history, she listened keenly/patiently to all my questions/concerns and made me feel comfortable and not judged. Dr Griggs is truly knowledgeable and incredibly detailed she addressed all my inquiries and at the end of my appointment she had an action plan.

Recently, my mother went to an Urgent Care center on a Friday, and was told she may have uterine cancer and needed to get into the doctor ASAP and or take herself to the ER by Monday. Obviously when she told me I completely panicked because 1. She doesn't have insurance, and 2. she needed to get into someone on a Saturday. I told my mom (who is terrified of doctors and never goes to them) that I would call my OBGYN. So I called Advanced up, and Linda answered and put me on hold for like 2 minutes and came up with an appt on a Saturday! Literally the next day. She told me not to worry, they would help us on the billing with no insurance and get everything squared away. It was so reassuring. I literally just love Linda! Ruby and Maria are also great! So we go to the appointment, and I was literally freaking out that my mom was going to flip out on Dr. Griggs because she hates doctors. After an hour she comes out and is completely calm and we talked to Linda. Linda gave her a hug and we were off. In the car my mom said, Dr Griggs was the kindest most understanding doctor she had ever met. So, of course I was thrilled. On the billing side, Linda told us that we should talk to Pam. So at the next appointment my mom went into Dr. Griggs, and Pam took me back to her office and explained all of our options. Since the affordable care act did not apply to my mom, we have to work really hard to find other options. So Pam gave me a ton of information, and was super duper understanding and sweet. We go back again today, and I am not even stressed because I feel like we are in the best care for my mother! I highly recommend this place! From Front Desk to the Billing Dept these ladies are top notch!

It was neither what we asked for, nor wanted, but we were stuck and forced to take the option. Gave us an appointment 2 months down the road. Kinda defeats the purpose of time sensitive to reschedule 60 days down the road. Bad customer service, so can't comment on quality of care. Their hours stipulate that they are open from 9am to 12pm, but when I called at 9:30am, I had to leave a message with an "agent." The office staff is rude. And finally: I had called two days previously, on a weekday (because the practice refused to accept my pharmacist's request for a refill on a prescription the day before), and was told that a request would be put in if I made my annual appointment, which I did. They then did not forward my request to my pharmacist and I am now out of my prescription. I would highly consider a different practice, as I am sure there are several that could meet your needs as a patient.

I've been a patient for 20 years and feel like part of their family. I've seen all the doctors and nurses in the practice and they are all wonderful, knowledgeable, and will take their time to listen to your problems and issues, unlike other practices where you are just another patient. Dr. Duboe saved my daughter from being born at 24 weeks. In the past 20 years, I had several surgeries performed by him. I trust him and the team with my life. He is one of those doctors who if not sure will send you for a second opinion to another doctor he trusts so you can have a piece of mind. Dr. Gerber took care of my sister while in labor for 12 hours. Her son was breached and she could not deliver him naturally. Dr. Gerber pushed with her for hours to turn him around and succeeded. Some doctors would send her for a c-section to make it easier for them, but not Dr. Gerber. She tried everything before making that decision, especially since my sister wanted a natural birth. When you are under their care, they take time to talk and listen to you. Diane, Pam, Tom, Dr. Duboe, Dr. Gerber, CNM Debra, Dr. Freedman and the rest of this wonderful team THANK YOU.

I just felt like a woman would be more understanding of those sensitive parts and issues, and let's face it -- your comfort level is extremely important for this sort of doctor visit. I chose this practice being that is was mostly women doctors (at the time I believe there was one lone male doctor, but if I remember correctly at my last visit, they were all female) and they were affiliated with the hospital I would like to deliver my children at (also the hospital in which I was born at many moons ago as well - Ha!). I have been thru 2 pregnancies with this practice and they took good care of me, and my babies. Both pregnancies I developed high blood pressure towards the end of my pregnancies and needed to be monitored. They were very good with this. Because of the blood pressure, I was put on bed rest and then once I was closer to my due date, I was induced. Dr. Novas delivered my son, 11 days before his due date. Dr. Chamberlain delivered my daughter, 8 days before her due date. I think I've seen every doctor in the practice and I don't recall there ever being a time I was disappointed with anything. My kids are now 11 & 8 years old, and while I am done having babies, this practice is still kind and gentle and I am comfortable here. Even now that I've moved further away, and no longer work nearby like I used to .... I still use this practice and don't plan on changing.

Excited for my first appointment when I found out I was pregnant, the first thing my doctor said to me when she walked in (not even "hello") was a disappointed look and, "I thought you were going to lose more weight first?" I was under 200 pounds to start and gained 20 pounds (including the baby!) the entire pregnancy. The nurses "tsked" every time I got on the scale. I left every single appointment in tears. I left at 30 weeks to go to a different practice after another doctor there told me I'd "die on the table" if I needed a c-section because they "couldn't anesthetize someone of my size." To be honest I'm grateful they made me meet all the doctors at the practice, because they were all monstrous and I knew I had to go somewhere else for my own safety and that of my child. I did end up needing a c-section, and it went just fine. I had a healthy baby, an easy recovery, and luckily ended my pregnancy at a supportive practice that treated me with respect and dignity. Avoid at all costs.
