While I don't think the service was necessarily bad, their advertising is misleading and I don't think they had the skills to do what I asked - called ahead to ask if they had someone who could do nail design -they said yes -came and showed the nail tech design #1 -nail tech said it would be too much work -showed a simpler design (pictured below) -he said he could do it -as he's doing the design, I could tell he was struggling -he then tells me that they don't usually do designs......and only their other location does??? The tech did spend quite a bit of time attempting the design so I paid the full service but I don't think it was executed well. I wish they would've been honest from the beginning. Their website gallery has so many amazing pics but clearly they aren't a good representation of what they can actually do :( I felt bad because they were very nice but I am disappointed. read more

Update: I had to have my finger cut open and drained of pus after the infection caused by this manicure. Duke, the salon owner, messaged me privately apologizing and saying he would "investigate." He then replied saying he asked the technician about it and she said it didn't happen so he has no idea how my finger got infected. He proceeded to gaslight me after I sent a photo and asked for a refund, saying he wasn't able to see the problem in the photo. I hate to give this place a low rating because the lady who did my pedicure was great. But the man who did my manicure (Tony) was not at all good. He did not wear any gloves and then plucked my cuticles so hard that it started to bleed. And then he brushed it off with his bare fingers! I am pregnant and this could put me and my baby at risk!! *This is for online purchases and customer service* I purchased a gift card online for a family member that loves locally because of the reviews. First, the gift cards are difficult to purchase because you can only buy $20. So if you want say $60 you have to buy three separate $20 gift cards. If you want an amount that isn't a multiple of $20 I don't think you can do it online. I purchased it and was supposed to get it in my email and didn't. I contacted them the next day for help. They we're responsive and tried to help but it was a ton of back and forth over multiple days and finally I got it in my email and it wasn't even something nice and printable it was more of an itemized list of the three different gift cards I purchased to add up to $60. If you need a gift card for someone I would highly suggest going in person if you can (I couldn't I live far away) or choosing another place. read more

While I enjoyed my visit to Charisma for the most part. The staff was friendly and they were able to squeeze me in last minute. I got a quality basic mani and special pedicure. My mani lasted 2 weeks without chipping (I added Essie clear gel at home so that helped) and my pedicure is still going strong. I didn't give them five stars for the following reasons: - The manicurist used water for my hands to soak from the foot tub (while my feet were soaking) - I was in a state of shock - They kept pushing me to upgrade my service and kept commenting on "how dry my skin was" - When I asked the manicurist to use a clear base coat before apply the Essie Gel color she said it wasn't needed as it comes with base coat (see the photo below - my nails are horribly stained) I'm so bummed because the services were great but these other things really overshadowed the experience. read more
