Ivy and her team of gals never disappoint. If you are looking for the perfect polish time after time this is the place. I have long natural nails that are absolutely thriving with Ivys help. I requested a difficult design this time that I saw online and it turned out even better than the source image. Super happy and already planning my next polish.

I paid $160 for a gel pedicure and a basic dip manicure (no design), which felt really overpriced. I originally asked for a basic pedicure, but the tech kept pushing the deluxe -- she asked me multiple times and ended up switching the prices on me without being upfront. When I got home, I even noticed nail polish left on my feet, which was disappointing after paying so much. The salon itself is nice, very clean and pretty, but unfortunately, I wouldn't come back due to the lack of transparency and attention to detail.

This place is convenient, but I felt very rushed when I was there. My gel mani chipped within 3 days and this is how it looks 6 days later. Also my nails were rough at the ends when I left, and felt jagged :(

Did a walk in around 11am and they helped me right away. Had a pedicure with Lindsey and she was amazing, so sweet and took her time. I very much enjoyed the ambiance. They had very calm and zen music going on in the background. A little pricey but I think it's worth it. Right next door to a pilates studio as well. Will definitely come back to Lindsey!

I was dismayed to learn today that Ivy's Nails is under threat. In 2019, the business was purchased outright in a verbal agreement, with no date of expiry mentioned. Now the seller is having cold feet and instructing the team to vacate the premises by December 14th, 2023. This is exactly the sort of greed we do not need more of in the bay area. This predatory behavior is the death of creativity and the ruin of security for hardworking small business owners. None of Dam's utility bills or rent were late and a large payment was made in the interest of running the business as her own. She renovated the interior and replaced all aging equipment and furniture with her own savings. As you can see, Ivy's Nails is retaining customers and receiving overwhelmingly good reviews - of course the seller wants the business back! After my nail tech moved away last year, I was delighted to find Ivy's Nails and start new. They have provided me with several beautiful, long-lasting and creative dip sets this year. They consistently come out looking like new after my workouts and even survived my dark water rafting escapades in New Zealand. I often observe the nail techs here practicing with new colors and talking about techniques they want to try. They are positive, patient and interested - I am a picky client, so this is a big plus! These dedicated artists deserve to be treated with respect and equity, not steamrolled by people they trust. Please be aware and support the incredible business Ivy's Nails has become during a time it matters most. Do you like your nails? Then talk to them - ask how you can be supportive.

I did dipped nails and it feels so much nicer and it's healthier for my nail beds.

Ivy did such a great job with my nails and she was so nice to me too. I did dipped powder nails and it didn't hurt at all and it feels so much nicer on my nails. Hope to come back soon!

I have been here a few times and every time I have been thrilled with the results! The space is well decorated and has such a great vibe, and the staff are all very kind and exceptional at what they do. I usually get acrylic/gel x nails, and they are always fantastic! I cannot recommend Ivy Nails enough. Ivy is the owner and nail tech, and she is incredibly detail-oriented and meticulous. You can tell she truly cares about her work and her clients. She does an amazing job recreating designs and has an impressive selection of colors and add-ons like chrome, gems, stickers, and dried flowers. I recently moved to the area and have been looking around for a nail salon for many months. I am so delighted to have finally found Ivy's! I got a manicure and a pedicure, and both are immaculate. Ivy was very easy to work with, super communicable, and was willing to make adjustments as we went so that I could have exactly what I wanted. I felt very comfortable communicating with her and her team and was very grateful for how easy she made it to have an excellent experience. Her team is also super cute and they got along really well, laughing and chatting in a very welcoming and inclusive way. Thumbs all up! I reviewed Ivy's nails in 2021 and I still am a loyal customer including my husband! They recently moved location from Portola Valley to Menlo Park on Alameda de las Pulgas due to an unscrupulous landlord in Portola Valley. But their new location is great, much bigger, more natural light and parking is easy. They are across the street from Luttickens deli. Ivy, the owner and her employees are so good at what they do, so friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you are satisfied with their services. They have an enormous amount of colors to pick from (acrylic, gel, dip). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! read more

LOVE! I am probably one of the pickiest when it comes to getting my nails done. I saw Amy today and she gave me THE BEST manicure! She reshaped my nails so they are perfect & executed the french chrome perfectly. They also got me in within 10 minutes. Needless to say, I found my spot!! read more

Go here if you're desperate; rushed job, noisy workers who kept chatting, messy setup with no sight of disinfected tools in small sealed bags. One tech painted one thick layer on my nails instead of two coats. It was a sloppy work. read more

While I was there, Anna, the owner, also took the time to introduce herself and tell us about the many different services they offer. That little interaction really added to the experience. The whole salon felt welcoming, personable, and like they genuinely care about building relationships with their clients. 10/10 experience. For Palo Alto I thought the salon would have been cleaner and nicer but it needed a lot of cleaning.

The woman who did my toes (tech 1) was much more thoughtful and meticulous about the final product. Beautiful spa but certainly not worth the almost $300 price tag.

Customers have every right to know what they are being charged for before agreeing to additional services. On top of that, the nails were not done well, and after paying over $100, I was still expected to leave a tip. I don't mind paying for a good service, but I do not appreciate feeling like I am being charged extra for every little thing without being clearly informed. I would not recommend this nail spa. I feel the pricing and the way the situation was handled were very disappointing, and unfortunately I left feeling taken advantage of rather than satisfied with the service.

Today was no exception...I had the best experience getting my prom nails done. They turned out even better than I imagined! Ivy is truly the best. I came in with an inspo pic thinking we'd just do a simpler version, but she insisted on doing the full design and was so dedicated to getting every detail just right. She spent so much time making sure the shape was perfect, matched the exact color from the photo, and carefully perfected each individual flower petal.You can tell she genuinely cares! I'm extremely disappointed and disturbed by what I've learned about this nail salon. I recently received a video from one of the staff members showing that the salon reuses paraffin wax from the trash on new clients. This is not only unhygienic, it's completely unacceptable and dangerous for clients' health. To make matters worse, I was told that the management also withholds staff tips and mistreats their employees. This is unethical on every level. I can't support a business that compromises both client safety and staff well-being. I strongly urge others to stay away until serious changes are made. read more

I understand being busy, but overbooking and rushing through appointments affects the quality and respect towards customers who are trying to support your business. Susan, I'm honestly shocked by your response. Those photos are 100% my own nails--accusing me of taking them from the internet is not only false but incredibly disrespectful. Instead of taking accountability, you're deflecting and trying to discredit me as a customer. I came in with a genuine issue, waited hours to have it fixed, and stayed patient through all of it--even when I heard staff talking about me behind my back. Helen does the clear, color, then clear again (bc I do translucent colors), double dipping each layer, fan drying each layer, and uses a clear gel topcoat at the end (this is the only part cured w UV lamp). Then cuticle oil, a little lotion hand massage and you're on your way. There is no cuticle work included with powder dip manicures. When I was also getting a pedicure, she started powder dip mani in the pedicure chair and then I moved to a nail station to finish. Nail chairs are comfy.
