The front desk lacked basic hospitality, and the overall vibe of the building was unwelcoming. I arrived early, yet still had to wait past my scheduled appointment time. I was also required to pay and tip before even receiving the massage, which felt unusual and set the tone for the rest of the experience. When the session began, I was questioned about why I selected my service, which was confusing since it was listed as an option on their own website. As someone who hasn't had many massages before, I expected at least a basic explanation of the process, but that never happened. I've had cupping done at other places, so I'm familiar with the general method--cups are typically placed and left in certain areas. Here, however, the approach was completely different. The cups were not only left on, but also dragged across my back while still suctioned. It was extremely painful--honestly felt like my skin was being torn. There was no warning or check-in about comfort level during the process. To make things worse, the massage didn't even last the full hour I paid for. When it ended, the therapist simply left the room without saying anything beyond that she was finished. Afterward, I could hear laughing and gossiping from the front area, which felt unprofessional and off-putting. I came in stressed and hoping to relax, but left in significant pain--so much that it interfered with my ability to go about my day. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I asked for her full name so that I can place a formal complaint but would not provide me. I asked to be seen by a different therapist so that I can compare and choose who I can meet for longer term. First, she responded with "the other therapist doesn't have any openings". On my first session I got to meet both therapist and she was open to meet for appointments, so I arranged a meet with her, provided that I have the authorization/referral changed to her name being added. I contacted my insurance to change the referral and add the other therapist. I contacted my insurance, and they changed it with no issues. I received a call the next business day from Lea. She had then told me that I'm not able to meet with the second therapist due their policy. She told me that I had to stay with the same therapist for the duration of my referral. I had the feeling that she was not telling the truth, so I asked to show me their policy. I also needed that to explain to my insurance why I can't do so. The scheduler lied to me to prevent me from seeing another therapist. I have no idea why, but I can only assume that it makes her job easier if she does it her way instead of giving customers an opportunity to do so. It's unfortunate to end up like this when I was really looking forward to continuing doing business with them. If anyone has any information on how to place a formal complaint, please direct me to it so that I can do so.

Once they had that information, my massage therapist (Kendra) contacted me to set up an appointment. I was really impressed and excited when I entered the business. The waiting area was cute and comfortable and there was someone there to greet me and set me up with some paperwork. Soon enough it was time for my massage and it was great. Kendra used the right amount of pressure and really focused on areas where I needed some more attention. She was so professional and only needed to remind me to relax a couple of times. This was an injury that kept me from my running schedule for MONTHS!! She also recommended it was time for new running shoes and she was absolutely correct! It's like a night and day difference. Marie has gone above and beyond to help me both times I've seen her. The massage therapists might be the greatest in the world, but the business side is terrible. Poor communications. Poor scheduling, Reschedules. Cancellations. Etc. Our appointment moved three times, and then we hit traffic and were going to be five to ten minutes late (after driving for 45 minutes to get there), and they wanted to cancel and reschedule or shorten the massage. No thanks. They need to fix their scheduling if they want to stay in business.
