The event was held a few weeks ago and guests are not only still talking about the food but a few have already booked PBP for their upcoming events. Leading up to the event, Hollis and her team were so easy to work with and communicated every detail with myself and my event planner. The guest count was higher than my wedding and was stressful to manage at times, but the PBP team handled everything so professionally and easily. After a few appetizers were passed around, there were a number of stations to choose from. It seemed like every guest had a different favorite. We all enjoyed delicious Jewish comfort food like latkes, brisket sliders, kugel, and matzo ball soup shots as well as Mediterranean food with salmon and chicken kebabs, rice pilaf, and a Greek salad. One guest said that the hummus was the best she had ever tried! It really was that good. The kids mostly enjoyed a slider station with sirloin hamburgers, fried chicken, and french fries, but plenty of adults grabbed a slider as well. They also created a signature drink for the Bar Mitzvah boy, which was really cute. For dessert, we all loved the ice cream sundae bar and assorted mini desserts like lemon bars, rugelach, and brownies. PBP also made yummy black and white cookies for all of our guests to bring home. With about 11 staff members to help with the event, PBP helped create an incredibly enjoyable and memorable event for my family and our guests. Everything about the experience was top notch. My only regret is that I was too busy with guests to enjoy everything at the time. Thankfully we had some leftovers to devour later (except for that hummus - everyone went back for seconds!). I didn't have to spend two days in advance shopping and doing prep/pre-cooking, then all day on Thanksgiving watching the turkey temp and stressing about what had to go in the oven when. Instead, I could enjoy a few drinks and actually visit with my family. Ashley was great to work with on the coordination of my event. She was so willing to accommodate all of my changes to the menu and adjust the quote based on changes to my headcount. Communication was great...she called with questions prior to the party and I was informed of a change in the arrival time on the day of. Kelly (who took care of the party) was fantastic! I was initially concerned that having someone hanging around while we had appetizers and dinner would be weird, but she blended right in. I was impressed that she kept an eye on the ice bucket and drinks, and offered to serve up plates and refill glasses during dinner. Regarding the food, I have 4 words: GET THE SHORT RIBS. Everything else was also delicious. Once we were done eating, she boxed up the leftovers (of which there were plenty for everyone to take what they wanted plus more). She cleaned up quickly and even washed the dishes I had provided. I told her she and the crew at PBP are my new best friends and they will be hearing from me in the future. The only downside was that she refused when one of my guests asked her to marry him ;)...maybe next time!! The food through Black Gold Golf course was amazing, so my husband and I have no regrets there. I'm giving 3 stars because my napkins were the wrong color on my wedding and communicating with the Events manager, Holly, was difficult throughout the planning process. It took over a month for her to respond to some of my emails, even when I would send multiple. I ended up calling her to go over my details, and somethings still didn't go as planned. If you go with The Center for your wedding, just make sure you call Holly to get things done, don't expect answers when you email.

People enjoyed being outside, and the views from the patio are just wonderful  with long expanses of green lawn. Holly Hamilin was a dream to work with. She's an expert having done receptions many times. She met with us early on to give us information and know what to expect. We met with her another time, and she took my calls whenever I needed to discuss decisions or ask questions.  Holly is very professional and takes charge in a calm, quiet, and sure way. The food was so delicious. Catering was done through Black Gold Golf Club and was prepared on the premises of the Community Center.  We had many raves about the food. I appreciated Holly's guidance on food selection. She knew from past receptions what entrees people liked best.  We were so glad we went with the glazed tri-tip and the sole with lemon and capers as the main course. I liked that the food was made on the premises  I gave Holly centerpieces I had made, plus fairy lights, silk rose petals, floor spotlights, and pink lights on chords. She put them up on the day of the receptions and she created such a lovely, charming atmosphere in the room. It made a huge difference.  We had ample room for our First Dance and for people to get up and make speeches with our champagne toasts.  Holly had a lovely table for our beautiful cake which she surrounded with rose petals. After we cut the cake, one of the servers cut and distributed the cake slices.  Patrick and I were delighted we found this venue and Holly. Everything worked out extremely well.

After I asked reasonable questions about their vague contract--which they only sent after demanding a signature--the vendor became aggressive, refused to refund my deposit, and then blocked me on both Instagram and Facebook to silence any accountability. Their supposed "refund policy" was never included in the invoice or mentioned at the time of booking. It magically appeared on their website only after I started asking questions. Instead of responding professionally, they deflected blame and claimed I canceled--completely false. I was simply asking for transparency and protection from potential misuse or damage claims for a product I hadn't seen. I've since filed a police report, submitted a BBB complaint, and initiated a credit card dispute. Small claims court is next. I have plenty of receipts to prove they are unprofessional, unethical, and fraudulent! If you're a parent or planning an event, avoid this company. There are too many reputable and honest vendors out there--this is not one of them.

I first have to say coordination with the owner Sheri is difficult as she prefers phone calls and will yell at you when she's in a bad mood. When I called her to discuss the final plans of the wedding, she yelled at me after I apologized for the delay in calling her back as I preferred to communicate via email due to my busy work schedule. She said she was "old" and needs a phone call. When I wasn't able to answer her questions regarding the placement of the chocolate fountain and how the set up would work, she continued to yell at me, which became so distressing that I was on the verge of tears and I had to interrupt her rant to tell her it was not appropriate for her to speak in this way to me. I then had my wedding coordinators call her to discuss the details. Unfortunately, Sheri was at my wedding to setup and man the chocolate fountain. She had the nerve to give me attitude on my actual wedding day. When I said hi to her she rudely commented "You don't even know who I am do you?" Even as I was selecting the dipping items at the chocolate fountain station, Sheri was giving me attitude. The chocolate fountain looked and tasted very standard, nothing special. The chocolate did not taste premium or high-quality, and the dipping items were average. For example, I expected fresh chocolate chip cookies, but they looked and tasted like the packaged chips ahoy cookies. I asked my friends for feedback on the chocolate fountain and they also said it was standard. Sheri was also intense towards my guests and was rude when my friends tried to clarify the allergens for the dipping items. Overall, I am shocked at how rude the owner was towards myself and my wedding guests. Her behavior was inexcusable, and the subpar chocolate fountain did not make up for the stress and negative vibes she brought to my wedding.
