Last Saturday, my friends and I hosted a close friend's bridal shower with around 12 guests. We've seen Charcutereats' previous work and decided to pursue them due to what we thought was quality and presentation. What we got in comparison to that and the pictures displayed on their instagram account is nothing short of a bootleg version. See photos for reference even though the owner will deny and leave a comment generated by ChatGPT. 1. Quality: The two main orders were absolutely sub par and cheap. The bagel spread does not feed up to 12 as advertised and feeds more so around 5 people. We got 6 very dry bagels cut in half, one large cut tomato, maybe half an onion, maybe a quarter of a lemon and spread for maybe one and a half bagels? The ingredients were spread so flat to create an illusion that the serving plate was full. The smoked salmon that we paid extra for was a mere few slices for 3-5 individuals versus the photos that show a decent amount for "up to 12pp." The caprese pasta salad had absolutely no flavor, and was brown from the balsamic vinegar yet gave no flavor and was a mere cold pasta with bits of basel.  2. Expectation: As shown on their social media page and website, the orders come on wooden boards and wooden bowls with some decorative items. What we got instead was a hasty delivery of a flimsy and broken plastic bowl for the pasta -- that had to be thrown out upon putting it out --and a flimsy wooden plate for the lightest bagel spread we've seen that was surely not worth more than $50. 3. Communication: Upon inputting the order and the delivery day, there was no communication. We had to reach out via email and confirm the day before and was met with a different drop off/set up time than initially agreed upon when the order was inputted. We 11:45am since the party was at 12pm, and instead got forced into settling for a 10:30am slot after some back and forth. This is unprofessional for any business that is selling a service. Save yourself the hassle and money and go to Costco and get yourself what you need, because the business is apparently falling apart. read more

I decided to purchase my first ever charcuterie board from charcutereats as a gift to my partner and was surprised to see the quality of the board! I loved how there was so much variety within the board and it was carefully packaged and arranged. It was a kitchen where there are multiple businesses sharing a large kitchen and not really a walk in and order type of place. It was cute but not impressed with the food. Expensive for the amount of meat and cheese you get. Crackers were about $7 extra and they were about the 1/4 size of a sleeve of ritz crackers. The crackers were so small I forgot to bring them. The board was not a board but rather a thin piece of cardboard like material barely wrapped in plastic wrap. It looked like a $30 dollar tray in total including the food and the "tray". read more

Was very excited to get this delivered for my wife's birthday however, instead of getting my order I get a email the day prior to delivery saying they can't deliver to my address which is not as far as they state in the email. This place completely ruined my wife's birthday plans as this was one of the main parts of the surprise. Because they waited so long to let me know I am not able to get somewhere else to make it! Canceling a order with a very generic email instead of a phone call giving a option to pick up the board which I would of done. It's sad I will not get to write a review on how it looked and quality because their customer service is so amateur they get the entire review. If I could give zero starts I would.
