The owner of the company immediately reached out to me and explained why things took longer than usual and rectified the situation. After hearing from him on Saturday, we already received the samples on Monday. Let me tell you, the quality of these flipbooks are good. Really good. I requested samples from multiple flipbook vendors, and many were just pictures printed on regular paper. However, the ones from Pixel were made on photo paper. They are a bit thinner than the regular paper vendors I've seen, but these will last longer (don't want people's flipbooks to fade years from now!). I think what's even more unique about this vendor is that their booths can be both flipbooks and be a photo booth. According to the website, while you're waiting for your flipbook, you can take a photo. I've researched all the flipbook vendors and this is the only company that offers this. Even though they offer more things, their prices are still competitive to the other flipbook vendors. Alas, the good people on Yelp were right about Pixel. We choose Pixel Photo Booth for our wedding. The website, photo quality, and equipment are great. However, just like some reviewers have complained, the communication and the service is just terrible in my opinion. Be wary to give him the full payment until you receive all of your products. Below is my poor experience with the owner and why I would not recommend this company. 1. A month after the wedding, I called him for the digital copy of the pictures. He said he will mail it out. 2. Two weeks later, I called back for a status update. He told me that he sent the DVD last week and I should get it in a few days. 3. A week passed, I called him up and left multiple voicemails. He stopped answering my phone calls. 4. Two months passed, and I used my wife phone to call him. He was "surprised" that I did not receive the copy and he will send another copy. 5. Respectfully tried to follow up and left a couple voice messages afterwards and no response! We recently got married this past March 2013 and used Pixel Photo Booth. We chose them because we had good experiences with their work at other weddings and their pricing was reasonable. The technology they use is pretty impressive and top of the time. We opted for the open air photo booth to accommodate for our large groups. The guests enjoyed the Photo Booth. My disappointment (which lead me to give them an average 3 stars) was the poor communication and correspondence during the planning process and event. We exchanged a lot through email, but the response time lagged and I was misinformed about important information. I was told in an email we would have 2 attendants (which lead us to order 2 vendor meals) and only ONE showed up. The photobooth was understaffed and we didn't get as many picture prints as we hoped for (66 total). Also, I was misinformed about the final form of payment. These are both minor hiccups, but hiccups none the less that could have been prevented for us to get our monies worth. Overall, they do good work but could use some work on their professionalism. It seems like Pixel Photo Booth has been at pretty much every wedding I've been to recently. They were even at a 1 year old birthday party. So much fun every time! The variety of crazy props are always a fun addition, but I think the ease of use was what impressed me. The technology they use is pretty neat too. I love the fact that the pictures print instantly. And they're not like the polaroid pictures where you have to shake them to dry. Haha! At the last event I attended, they had a standing "pod" that was different than the previous enclosed "booths" that I'm used to seeing. It had a touch screen in the front and you'd collect your pictures in the back. Neat and clean, with no messy wires. He was the person in charge of the booth for the Gala fundraising event hosted by Project Motiavate, a non-profit mentoring organization which i am deeply connected to and have been volunteering with, for the past 3-4 years. I remember having so much with the photo "booth." At our event, we did not have a booth (we had a large backdrop), which i personally like better b/c i dont feel restricted (like how you would in those typical booths). We were able to squeeze about 5-10 ppl in the photo if we wanted. But again, its all about preference and i am sure they offer both syles. The props were super fun and my favorite was the picture frame prop. I remember going up to Hieu to thank him personally, for generously donating his time and services to our fundraising event. And, they could keep a copy for themselves! Hieu from Pixel was great, he was very easy to work with and helpful. I think the the best part was flipping through the scrapbook the day after the wedding and laughing at all the hilarious pictures of all the guests. i never take the time to sign up for these things and post reviews. But Hieu @ pixel did an awesome job, so i thought the least i could do was write him a review. Emailed Hieu with a tight turnaround, and he got everything up and running within a 48 hour time window. What turned out to be a last minute addition to the wedding turned out to be one of the main attractions. The photo booth attendants were very nice people and made everything as smooth as possible. I didn't catch their names though. Hopefully Hieu responds to this review with their names to give them some well deserved recognition. All in all, great service, staff, props, and price. Thanks Loi for a DINO-mite photo booth experience and letting us use our dinosaur props for our reception. We love how our design turned out on the bottom of our photo strip! Loi came early to set-up and although the venue was giving us a hard time about not removing one of the tables to give Loi more space to set-up, Loi was patient and tried to make things work given the room he was allotted. Eventually we did get the table removed so that solved that problem. My cousin was basically my coordinator for the evening and of course with everything going on, checking in on Loi was not at the top of my list with all the places I had to be at throughout the evening that it wasn't until the next day when I spoke with my cousin did I realize that I had completely neglected him. I didn't check in to make sure he needed water or if he needed to use the restroom since he was the only one running the booth. But Loi didn't complain and everyone said they had a great interaction with him. I don't know about you, if I didn't get anything to drink or eat and I'm stuck at one place, I'd be pretty angry, but not Loi. So moral of this review is, for a pleasant experience that was very reasonably priced and ran by a professional that has the utmost patience, I hope you get Loi for your next event. read more

We used pixelbooth for our wedding at the smog shoppe on 2/14/14. Loved them. The pictures come out super clear and your skin just looks flawless. Everyone looked so good! They help customize the "frame" that goes around the photo and they matched it to our invitations. The flip book aspect was just so cool and different. I These acted as our wedding favors. After the event, Pixel sent us the digital photos and digital gifs (of the flipbooks) which were super hilarious. I saw that I was missing a few prints so they mailed me some which I thought was very nice. I recommended to our venue to add them to their preferred vendor list. One thing though is that the backdrop was black. I was wearing white of course but other people in dark suits kind of just looked DARK. I'm not sure what kind of background would be better but it's something to think about. The bride wearing white has NOTHING to worry about. Quite honestly before our wedding, I cared less for photobooths. In fact, we weren't even going to book a photobooth until we decided to take "Thank You" photos with guests, and changed our minds 1.5 months before our wedding date. And boy, have our impressions changed and boy, are we glad we booked Pixel! Firstly, the quality of photos that Pixel produced were amazing. You especially know when the photobooth photos are good enough to become guests' profile picture! Secondly, Pixel is not just a photobooth. We ordered the Open Air Photobooth, and we were able to take single-shot "Thank you" photos with guests when they arrived during cocktail hour. When reception began, we were able to smoothly transition into the traditional 4-shot photo. We were able to fit so many more people in the open air booth!! Thirdly, staff have been really amazing!! Diep helped me throughout the booking process. We upgraded on our backdrop to a damask backdrop, and I was a little nervous on how that backdrop would come out to be. Diep met with us for literally 5 seconds just to show us the backdrop and get our approval. How great is that?? Shannon helped us design the photobooth print-out design. She was also great, and would send us drafts in the middle of the night!! Dedication right there - this group works around the clock for their clients! One thing I might add though is that you will need to provide as many files, graphics, pictures, text fonts, etc to them as possible. Lastly, but not least, WILLIAM, our photobooth attendant was sooooo great. He was fluent in both Vietnamese and English, and it really helped with our older guests. The Pixel Photo booth was a total hit at our wedding! Every guest that attended said that it was such a great idea! Almost every minute, someone was in that photo booth taking pictures! We actually added one more hour of time to the contract because the line was so long! I especially enjoyed the scrapbook that the guests were decorating with their own pictures (since they print out 2 copies, one for the scrapbook and one for the guests) Plus, you get a CD with everyone's pictures at the end!
