These guys were absolutely EXCELLENT! The booking process was easy, excellent communication throughout, they were also able to provide certificate of insurance for our venue which was great. The day before the event they sent us a confirmation text which put our mind at ease. Day of the event they showed up on time, great costumes, great energy with the kids, very fun activity. The kids had THE BEST time. Look no further, this company and characters are A+. Thank you!!!! read more

We booked Shannon as Jessie for my son's "You've Got a Friend Who's 3" birthday party and let me tell you that she was the "rootin' and tootinest cowgirl in the Wild, Wild West." It was 90+ degrees and it didn't faze her at all. The party was not condensed in one area and she was amazing at floating around from group to group doing songs, balloon animals, playing games, etc. She stayed in character and was wonderfully dynamic and engaging for the kids. Everyone loved her! I've never booked a character before but would highly recommend this company and definitely Shannon! read more

I can't recommend Character IO enough. We hired them for my son's 6 year-old Star Wars Birthday party and it was fantastic. Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and a Jedi arrived and entertained the kids the entire time with various games and tasks. The kids were beyond thrilled and it gave the parents a break, which is always a nice thing. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed. read more

Elsa (Shannon) arrived right on time and immediately captivated all of the children. From singing and dancing to painting, she kept everyone fully engaged and entertained throughout the entire event. Her energy, talent, and warmth made the party truly special. We would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking to create a magical experience for their children. read more

Oh my goodness, what a delightful experience I had with this company. On 12/16/24 I called around 11am after spending three hours calling other companies requesting an Elsa performer for 12/17/24 for my daughter's tea party celebration, after many calls I finally found this company and I'm so glad I did. After getting many other quotes (some even charging a bit more than their usual due to a last minute request) I notice this one had the best price so I went ahead and booked. It was fast, smooth, and easy. Moving forward to 12/17/24 (the day of the event) the snow queen Elsa (impersonated by Aline) showed up and she was pure magic. My daughters both age 4 and 7 had such fun! Aline is so sweet, charismatic, heartwarming, and overall perfect for the role of Elsa ! My daughter (age 4) is greatly obsessed with Elsa she sees her every so often at DisneyLand and as many of us Disney goers we know the characters performances are unmatchable however Aline manage to provide the same level of personality and emotional a Disney princess representing Elsa would. I'm so glad I can't express that enough and if next year my daughter still loves Elsa I have in mind requesting for Aline all over again ! read more

Long story short - never ever hire Characters.io. We hired them for my daughter's third birthday party, which fell just two months after our house burned down in the fires. This was a very difficult time for our family to be hosting a party and splurging on this, but we did it to keep some sense of normalcy for our daughter. She is obsessed with Rapunzel. Here's the story. It started with the "actress" texting me, and spelling Rapunzel "repunzel" by the way, saying she was thinking "face painting, dancing, singing along, taking pictures and cutting the cake." I simply said let's skip face painting but the rest sounded great. She walked up wearing beat up sneakers that used to be white (see photos attached), with not one but two nose rings (see photo attached), wearing a bizarre anime backpack (see photo), and barely had any energy but said "high five" to my daughter. I tried to let it slide and thought maybe she was just nervous, but the tone never changed. She never once said anything cheery and did not engage with anyone. She did not dance with the kids, she did not sing with the kids, she didn't do anything but partake in the activity I had set out which was coloring some wooden wands. My poor daughter who was meeting her idol for the first time was confused and disappointed. Rapunzel wasn't happy, wasn't excited, didn't have any energy. She also was extremely inappropriate, talking to an adult guest about the college courses she's taking in front of four children, including my daughter, completely ruining their belief that she could actually be Rapunzel. The worst part of all of this - someone came up to my daughter all excited and said "did Rapunzel wish you happy birthday?!" and she sighed and said "no." Rather than enhance the party, she completely ruined it. I reached out to the company immediately, with a thorough email and photos. Their response two days later was that they would refund my deposit. I pushed back, saying if it had just been a mediocre actress that would make sense, but this was an embarrassment. They replied stating that I would have had to ask her to leave in the first 7 minutes of arriving in order to get a refund of the remainder. So my three-year-old daughter could watch me kick Rapunzel out? And like I said, I was hoping she'd improve. I called and spoke with a nice woman who said she understood and would speak to the owner of the company and ask her to call me. Two weeks passed and I never heard back. I called and emailed 11 times in those two weeks and finally today someone answered. She said the owner refused to speak to me and would not be providing a refund. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Avoid this company at all cost, unless you want to ruin your child's birthday, and potentially shatter their belief in make believe characters. read more

I hired this company to provide a Mickey Mouse character for my baby's special event, and the entire experience was a huge disappointment. From the beginning, there was no organization, no program, and no clear plan for what the entertainer was supposed to do. I expected them to engage the kids, play games, or at least follow some kind of structure, but instead it felt like they were just improvising with no effort. What made it even worse is that the performer spent almost half of the time not even wearing the costume. Imagine booking Mickey Mouse to make your child happy, and instead you get someone walking around out of character--it completely ruined the magic and excitement for the kids. For the price I paid, I expected professionalism, energy, and an actual plan, but unfortunately none of that was delivered. This service was careless and unprofessional, and I felt like they didn't take the job seriously at all. If you are planning a special day for your kids and want it to be memorable in a good way, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This was absolutely not worth the money, and I regret booking them. read more

I was searching for a visit from Spider-Man for my son's fourth birthday party. Surprisingly, it wasn't that easy to find Spider-Man on various websites, until I came across this company. I love that it is ran by Moms. Making my reservation was pretty simple and the people that assisted me were very friendly. What I really appreciated was that I had to change the date of my party at the last minute (due to rainy weather), and they were able to accommodate me very easily. Spider-Man arrived on time and was friendly and interactive with the children. I hear that they're having a contest, and so I just wanna shout out Luke for being such a highlight at my son's birthday party. You really helped create a memory that will last forever for my son. read more

We hired this company to have a performer play the character of Mirabel from the movie Encanto. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I was told the performer would contact us on Friday before the event, but she never contacted us. We thought she is not coming. We had to contact the company multiple times then she responded after 8pm on Saturday day before the event. The performer only did one short activity with the kids and then spent most of the time following the birthday girl. She did not act like the character Mirabel. Many of our guests even asked, "Did you really pay for this?" because it looked nothing like what we were promised. For the price we paid, we expected energy, interaction, and fun for the kids, but sadly this was not delivered. read more

Booked a Character for my son's birthday. The week leading up to the party I tried to get into contact with the chatacter to go over details and what to expect. Was promised I would hear later in the week. 2 days before the party I followed up again and was told the character would be in touch the next day. By noon the next (day before the party) I reached out again and was told by end of the day the character would be in touch so we could coordinate. The character didnt reach out until 11 p.m. the night before the party! I canceled because I was no longer comfortable working with such an unprofessional company or having someone over without a plan in place. Was berated for canceling and requesting a full refund and told that 11 pm the night before the party was a perfectly acceptable time for coordination details to be discussed. On top of that the character tried to change the time! This company was very unprofessional and disappointing in their customer service and meeting basic expectations in relaying what their customers can expect during the characters allotted time. Do not recommend hiring their services! read more

So disappointed with this company. Had a 3rd birthday party for my son today. Spider-Man was supposed to show up at 2 and at 2:30 I got a text that they showed up and 'no one was here' which I know is a lie because 1. My door was wide open with a giant Spider-Man banner on it and 2. I have cameras on all around the front of my house. Finally got through to someone after calling TEN times and they said they think their character is lying about showing up and there's nothing they can do about it. I am in complete shock. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY NO ONE WILL SHOW UP. The phone number listed is a google number so they will just stop answering once you pay them and there is no way to leave a message. Look elsewhere or you will be so so disappointed. read more

This was our first time using Characters.io and we were blown away. We used a different company for the last 9 years for our children's birthday's and recently we have been disappointment by the entertainment, therefore I did my research and found Characters.io. My daughter had a Barbie birthday party and we hired Barbie (Kennedy). Kennedy was absolutely amazing! Not only is she an amazing singer (she sang the Barbie song to the girls and we were so impressed by her beautiful voice), but she was also caring, sweet and attentive to our daughter making her feel like the most special birthday girl. She looked and acted like the real Barbie! She was very professional and impressive! Thank you Kennedy for everything! You have no idea how special you made our daughter feel on her birthday! I will be recommending Characters.io to others because of you! read more

What a GREAT Experience! Cinderella (K) arrived slightly early to meet with me on the details before making her grand entrance. She was dressed PERFECT, our little granddaughter was mezmorized. The costume was beautiful but for the amount paid was not worth it at all. I'm actually really disappointed with the service. We hired Ariel and she came in and talked to the birthday girl and gathered the kids. She let them pick the games like duck duck goose, Simon says. She asked if they wanted her to read a story but the kids said no so she watched them play in the jumper. Don't get me started on the "Facepainting". I had to ask multiple times to have her start it and the website said 3-4 min per kid and she spent maybe 30 seconds. I expected more for the amount paid. Not sure if I would go back with this company. read more

I used them to have Spider-Man come to my son's 5th birthday party. Luke was who they sent - and he was AMAZING. He entertained about 22 young children for an hour - which is no small feat. The group was in awe of Spidey and had fun playing games, asking questions, and watching Spider-Man do superhero tricks. I would 100% use them again (Luke, in particular) ... especially since my son now thinks I have Spider-Man's phone number. read more
