They even confirmed the date. On May 4 (my son's actual birthday and only five days before the event) this scam of a business cancelled!!!! Now looking back at the reviews, this seems to be a trend. I am very disappointed in the service I received over the weekend. Our character Elsa looked as if she was rushed to get ready, and she was not interacting with the children. I spoke with the Manager and requested this to be reviewed but after it was reviewed I was deemed as incorrect. He said he would give me 20 percent off my next character and throw in additional services but how does that make it right? This was a surprise gift for the birthday girl, but let's wait another year to make it right? He then stated he would give a 40 percent discount on my next service and when I declined, I let him know that I would be leaving a review and he said he knew that's where it was going because I didn't get what I was asking for. All I requested was a partial refund, I did not state a full refund or an unreasonable amount. I definitely will not use this company in the future. Again, I don't think my request was unreasonable. I did not want to go this route. Per the response from my review from Tony. I did not demand a refund, I requested a refund via email and was told to give him a call to have this discussed, he then offered a discount for future services again which I declined. I think you get what you paid for with Dreamcharacters. They are on the cheaper side compared to other companies nearby and I think that's why their characters are alright. I hired Spiderman for my son's birthday party and although Tony(the manager) was very professional, the person who was in the Spiderman costume was not the best. He lacks some charisma and some energy. He played all the games requested on the booking but I expected more when it came to the "superhero training." All he did for that was bring out a nerf gun and had the kids take a turn shooting. Mind you, there were around 25 kids so it took a while and the kids were getting antsy just waiting in line. For the "dance party" party, his speaker was small and you couldn't even really hear the music so I let him use our big speaker. Not a big deal but you would think they would be more prepared. I was offered to pay extra for a grand entrance and present for the birthday boy and I'm glad I didn't because my son was still given a present and it was a small paint kit from the dollar tree. Booking process was really easy, but overall the service from the characters was not the best. I hired dreamcharacters for my toddler girl 3rd birthday, we asked for minnie mouse character, 2 people showed up, minnie mouse dress was not like minnie mouse at all, they did not play like minnie mouse at all, the minnie mouse did not talk and had zero movement! Very boring, the other person did some entertainment for kids but very basic, they did not have any specific music or instrument with them, For dancing minnie mouse was just standing still!!! No interaction with the kids, Also, the other lady showed in un suitable attire, broken shoes with holes, very short T shirt that the underwear was showing when she was bending! Booked with them earlier in the month and placed my deposit to lock my spot about 3 weeks before my sons birthday and two days before I got a call asking if I can accommodate with them to switch the time because someone called out sick. The owner of this company's attitude became very hostile when I told him how I felt because I am getting a call to switch a time for my party that has been planned a whole month in advance and two days before. He asked if I can switch my time to an earlier time; My party started 2:30 I would only be able to do 3, 3:30, or 4:30 & none of those times worked. He said I wasn't able to accommodate with the company but it starts to get dark at 5 so only those times only worked. He started going back and forth with me very argumentative and since I told him I was going to write a bad review because I got this information 2 days before my sons party he canceled my party gave me a refund and I had to find another character place to help accommodate my sons birthday. In my opinion i would not book with this company if I locked in my party earlier in the month placed my deposit like mentioned in the contract that once you place you're deposit your spot should be locked in but that's not the case. Horrible customer service and horrible business thankfully I found an another company in 48 hours before I had to let my son down for his 3rd birthday while they had no consideration in mind. Amazing! Have had Spiderman twice- once for a work party with children on the Autism spectrum. Spiderman did great with a wide age range and a lot of kids! An update!! The owner has enlisted his friends to harass me. I've gotten messages on Yelp being evil and rude. Also, he replied back to my comment saying I am lying and claiming I give 1 review stars too much. The last 3 have been 1 stars but that's it. I rarely give 1 stars and BY THE WAY, that is none of his business what I review people. He doesn't know my experiences with businesses. Also, he has mentioned in his comment a contract I have never seen in my life. I will post the contract I received and you all can tell me if anything is mentioned about parking. I requested the Toy Story characters however only one arrived it was such a huge disappointment. I was contacted by the employee was unable to make it to the party because he stated his Manager booked him for another party 45 miles away he stated he would be two hours late ( he also mentioned his Manager does this often ). My experience with this company could have been better. I booked one hour of basic balloonist and one hour of entertainment for toddlers. The person assigned to my event showed up late; she said she was lost on the other side of the park. It was not a big deal being late. Then, when she started to set up, which takes time from the hour you book, she asked if I had a straw because her balloon pump broke. I did not have a straw, so she attempted to blow the balloons with her mouth but was unsuccessful. I do not expect her to do that for the whole hour; it is probably unhealthy. Then my friend had a balloon pump, so we offered that, but it did not work with her type of balloon. Almost an hour had passed by then, so I told her to stop trying and do the toddler games. She did, but also remember that this will take time to set up, get the speaker to sync with her phone, which she has issues with, etc. She played the games, and everything was good. She was very nice, but the whole service was disappointing. After the party, I emailed the owner, who called to discuss what happened. He offered me a refund, but there was no balloonist, so I should have received a full refund of $90 for the balloon hour. He said that because She stayed for two hours, I only got a partial refund of $40. Total was $170 (balloons $90 entertainment $75), I don't know why that's a false. I did pay for the hour of service. He said she was there for two hours even though it was an hour of setting up and trying to blow balloons with the broken pump. Very disappointing. Just be aware this can happen to you, and you end up paying for a service that did not happen. They could have been more professional and had better service. Other reviews express the same feelings. I would not recommend them. Per Tony's response: It's not false, you say that every bad review is false. I didn't ask for a full refund. I only ask for the balloonist hour refund because service was not provided. I still paid for the second hour of entertainment. read more

I recommend choosing a Character (not a Mascot), because a single character will be more engaging and interactive for the children. We had an amazing experience with the Spiderman Character for my son's 3rd birthday last year. He literally jumped out of a tree and thrilled the children with his engagement level. This year, we chose the Transformer Man, which required a handler (2 people showed up). The transformer man could not see or speak through the costume, and so it was less interactive to say the least. It was more expensive too. My son wasn't pleased, and some of the kids were confused about why transformer man wasn't speaking or doing much. The handler read a Charlie Brown story, which was also a bit strange. Why not read a Transformer story? Or at least let us know the story selection before the event? I wish I had known all of this before booking, as I would have just gone with a single character. It's not clear on their website (transformer man was listed as a character, and then I was told he was a mascot), and the Director didn't explain it well either. I encourage you to ask lots of questions before booking! On a positive note, the duo did a great job with Tug of War and were overall professional in communications. Autobots roll out. read more
