I had heard a lot of rave reviews about hydrafacials from friends and colleagues so wanted to try it and this was the best rated location closest to me. I was not disappointed! The experience was so much fun, so relaxing, and I loved that the bed/chair? Was heated! The extraction part was a bit painful but I think it's cause I've never had such a deep clean facial, super excited to come back again in 6 weeks again see the results in a few days!

I had a Halo Laser Treatment in early December 2025…read more Let me first say that everyone at the location were great. It is the treatment and recovery that were very disappointing and painful. I was warned of the post treatment burning sensation and of the possibility of inflammation. Those both happened to a degree which I don't feel I was warned about. On day 6, I developed what I thought was a rash/infection by my mouth. I contacted my doctor since it was a Sunday, and was advised to be seen in person. Turned out that I had gotten shingles (I have been vaccinated)! I was prescribed an Antiviral as well as some ointment. I had also sent an email to Belladerm. They did contact me on Monday and offered to call in a prescription for an Antiviral. I feel like some sort of partial refund for the issue would have been an appropriate gesture. I will say that my skin tone from the treatment is a little better, but not TWO THOUSAND dollars better (plus the cost of the doctors visit and prescriptions). It was not money well spent. I did learn my lesson.

So young, so fresh and so clear clear!…read more I recently started using the Spa Services at Uptown Derm & SkinSpa. I now am addicted. I seriously look at my calendar for my next free weekend for facials and peels!! I won't give you my Aesthetician's name (hey-----her schedule is getting harder and harder for me!) but so far I've talked w/a few of the other Spa staff and all are extremely easy to talk to, no matter what the embarassing breakout could be. I've gone through two peels (vitalize and rejuvanize) and a few microdermabrasions and have never had any issues whatsoever (besides the normal effect of a peel). I notice a huge difference in my wrinkles, poors and elasticity! Even my friends, family and coworkers are impressed and a few go to the Spa now. I highly recommend Uptown Derm & Spa for medical visits and spa treatments over anywhere else.

Fast forward to now, everything has gotten run down and scheduling an appointment is an odd experience now. What really set me off is we had an appointment July 5th and an hour before the appointment the canceled because the doctor was ill and stated they would call us to reschedule, two weeks went by and I spoke to the receptionist that stated they are short staffed and would call me when they see an opening in the schedule. Guess what it's almost August 5th and I have not had any communication with them at all. I called a different clinic that will have better parking, better communication and more locations to choose from.

My only frustration was at the end of the appointment when I had to pay. I go through Cherry for payment options and the system was down. I only have a debit card and no other credit card so had to go to the bank to get cash to pay. They did put a note on my chart about checking the day of my appointments to make sure Cherry is up and running so hopefully that snag will not happen again.

I recently got micro needling and this is my result... my face is one fire and my face is so…read moreswollen that I can't see cause my eyes are swollen shut. When I talked to someone on the phone they said they would speak to the doctor there and get back to me soon. Three hours later and I still hadn't received a call. When I called back they said they had told me in the first call that I can come in pick up some cream they had set aside for me, and that's why they didn't call back. (How am I supposed to drive when I can't even see.) I told them they told me about the cream before I had sent new pictures about my reaction and how it's gotten worse. They then put me on hold and later told me this reaction is "completely normal." I had gotten micro needling done here before and this was not my reaction. This is different. I don't blame the aesthetician for my reaction. I think it may have been the aftercare treatment they gave me. I don't remember getting it the first time I had it done. The way they are handling things is what makes me frustrated. This definitely does not seem normal. This is an allergic reaction. And if this is normal and this is the kind of care they give to their patients, I would look to go somewhere else for micro needling. Also, I never received my full refund and they tries taking down my review on google to their stars go up. (very shady and unprofessional) So I'm posting on other platforms to make sure people are aware of what kind of clinic they are going to.

I reviewed Permanent Choice of Maple Grove a while back and I now have an update…read more They reached out to me after reading my original review and acknowledged that they had some issues at the time (said they were in transition learning new machines / techniques) and they apologized and wanted to make it right. I appreciated that. How many businesses do that? Like 0? I can't speak to how their service has been since then, as I have not been a client. But if they have invested in newer technology - and trained staff well - then maybe the experience would be different today. I should also note that they proactively offered to refund a portion of my money - which I initially declined, but they insisted in order to reconcile and make it right. I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars - not because they refunded some money but because it means a lot for a business to take accountability for their work. They should get credit for that. And the opportunity for a second chance, since they are willing to stand behind their work. After what I've learned, my recommendation is to try a couple of places, see what their recommended approach is (as there are some options, like laser and different kinds of electrolysis), maybe try 1 session so that you can compare approaches (keeping in mind that permanent hair removal results are not immediate, unfortunately), and see where you are most comfortable. (That's probably way more effort than you anticipated (Sorry!) but could be worth it.)
