We were super excited about the show. We've always watched him on tv. Now let me say I was a lil disappointed in the snack choices; so popcorn was the choice. I live Reese pieces , water and pineapple juice. I don't drink so the alcohol was where it was. The staff was very attentive and trying to fill every order. There were so many people and they were doing their thing. The lines were long but moving quickly. I haven't been in the theater since 2008. So I did not like the seats an how close they were. I felt cramped and crowded.. The restroom was clean and the theater itself was neatly decorated and clean too. The first comedian that opened up was amazingly talented and great!!! He was funny and a principal.. I really enjoyed his and could see him again. He had the crowd cheering and laughing uncontrollably.. support this brother whenever you see him. He's worth the time. The dJ was fire he had the crowd amped up. He was dropping hit after hit getting us prepared for the show. When Ali came to the stage they erupted into applause and cheers. His mannerisms and demeanor were just characteristic and down to earth. He was funny and my side was hurting from all the laughing. We paid for the meet and greet and the line was long but worth the wait. He was so cool in person and love his fans. I would love to come and see him again.

We were up at the top so we took the elevator. Be patient, it takes a bit. Found our seats and enjoyed a great show. At intermission we did have to scoot down to the second floor for a bathroom break. We were back in time before things go going again. At the end, we listened to the pit orchestra play until they finished and we had much less crowd to get through to leave. Overall a great evening.

This play was titled Willy/Nicky based on historical correspondence between Kaiser Wilhem of Germany and Czar Nicholas of Russia (both were cousins and grandchildren of Queen Victoria of England). It covers the time period before, during and after World War I. It included the "Mad Monk" Rasputin. Lots of sexual innuendo with Rasputin portrayed as a draq queen. A funny and thought provoking play.

We tried the Curious Theatre for the first time this fall, and loved their production of "The Minutes" (always enjoy Tracy Letts). We returned for the wonderful production of "Letters to Suresh" as well a month later. The theater uses an old church so every seat is great, street parking is easy, and there are fun food options within a block - we enjoyed Zeps Epic Sandwiches and Torchys Tacos, coffee at Cherry Bean Coffee, and will try Eiskaffee on our next visit. They saw an opportunity and decided to move to Denver to run their own place. It's been a while since they took over and rebranded Voodoo Comedy and my lord they are a well oiled machine. They have a FULL bar with thirst quenching drinks, hilarious shows(I recommend BATMAN LIVE and Basement Doctors), friendly staff, and an intimate theater that is conducive for laughs. They just built state of the art classrooms and if you haven't taken an improv class it is something EVERYONE should do at least once because it will change your life. Just ask Nick, Josh, or any of the performers at the theater.
