Another favorite here of mine was Misery. The acting was superb. The theater itself is very clean and well laid out with some gallery rooms. You can buy drinks and being them into the theater, but they don't sell snacks. They only have two bathrooms so the line at intermission is a little long, but it's bearable since it's a small theater. If you haven't been, I highly recommend checking it out. Very talented performers, pretty art space, and wonderful productions. Also gotta check out the decked out truck in the parking lot, it's a piece of art.

There are just 5 rows and the venue holds under 100 seats. Lighting was good and hearing the 6 performers was good too. The sister Claire ( a alcoholic) was my favorite character. She was most colorful, interesting and entertaining. The play was ' A Delicate Balance' and 3 hours is too long for me. There was an art exhibit in the lobby and easy parking.

My 4-year-old got a little bored towards the end as it's kind of a longer show and it's very low tech- think the kind of circus that your grandparents would've gone to, minus the, sad exotic animals, which is a good thing. I purchased our tickets early and was able to get them for a lower rate which was also nice. The only thing I would say is that we bought their $10 popcorn, which wouldn't have been a huge deal if it was good, but it definitely tasted a bit stale and I wish that we had brought our own popcorn in bags or just waited and gotten something better at the festival afterwards.

Endearing slapstick from young family performers. This is the traditional circus experience I want. Better perhaps because there aren't any elephants/tigers that make you wonder about treatment. 9 year old fully engaged. 6 year old's interest did flit around a bit. Second what another said about the popcorn being a bit stale. We sat on the bleacher seats and, you know what, I love 'em--just classic popup circus experience. They were really smart to raise the tent sides at some point for cooling air flow. I want more horseback riding while jumping through flaming hoops. I want the strongman show.

This is an awesome venue for live theater…read more It is tucked away in an unassuming building that shares a parking lot with a Buffalo Wild Wings. You'd never know it was there. I may have never found it if it weren't for a friend's post that she was going to be in a show, there. The show was stellar! The caliber of acting was on par with anything I have seen at DCPA. The production value was exceptional. And, the ticket price was under $30 for front row! The show was so good that I bought season tickets for 2022-2023. The seating is tiered, so you don't have to worry about someone tall sitting in front of you. There is a large main floor area and balcony seating. They have drinks and snacks available for purchase before the show and during intermission. The drinks were moderately priced, way cheaper than DCPA. And, there is plenty of free parking in the lot.

Plan to arrive early if you're seeing a live performance as there are multiple galleries to spend some time with, along with light bites and beverages. There are so many seating areas sprinkled throughout the space, if ya wanna just lounge while you wait. Speaking of light bites and beverages, they have some decent offering and aren't too over the top for what'd you'd expect to pay at a live performance. I also don't mind supporting such a great venue and organization. We've seen a few performances at a couple of their theatres. My favorite is likely the most intimate space, The Black Box Theatre. The other larger space is well laid out, just bigger. I love the creativity and variety of their offerings. We've seen so many great shows. Def will return. And, the last time we were there, we learned about their spring plant sale that took place in their parking lot. Who knew? We went and really appreciated the local community collaboration. Check them out. It'll be a great experience.

The topics were broad - business, finance, event planning, dying, absinthe, money lessons for children, etc. I learned quite a bit! The venue was a very cool old theater, and I know it wasn't Ignite's fault, but the bathrooms needed some attention (that is, replumbing). Next time if there's an option for another venue with better facilities that would be preferable. But, it kind of added to the feel of the event... I go back and forth. I'd like to go back and perhaps even present one year - but probably later in the evening when the audience has had its share of libations and they might forgive my stage presence. :) Good job, Ignite!

This is a don't miss event for anyone that enjoys using their brain and meeting great people.

The Curtain Playhouse is a vigorous acting experience. I have had a few of my children take part in…read morea few of their productions and, long story short, we will not be returning! The two "directors" are rude and harsh towards the children. I have seen three of their productions and in each one, the same few people got the main roles and everyone else was lucky to get on stage once or twice (two of them being their own children). They moved around 5 times in the time my family and family friends were a part of their program, each location had a very small stage with uncomfortable move-around chairs for the audience. Although it is obvious the family who runs it works hard to make every show the best they can, they are not friendly to kids or teens.
