Just ok! I felt I…read morehad to say something about this place. It's a small place not too many tables. They only had 1 table of 6 and a table of 2 while we were there. No service at all!!! I mean zero!! After 20 minutes I took it upon myself to go get menus from another table. I waited again and I went to the counter to place the order (no it's not one of those places you order yourself and then sit down) I then went to the counter and asked for takeout containers. The only service we had was the food being delivered to our table, and if I knew when the food was going to be ready I would grabbed it myself. They were busy with takeout and food delivery (Uber eats etc) and couldn't care about the customers sitting down. Really disappointing! The chicken pad thai was just ok, I would say that it wasn't pad Thai, I could swear that there was ketchup in the sauce, not even a taste of tamarind. I will not be going back! Unfortunately I would not recommend this place. Service is everything now, there are too many restaurants to choose from.

Ohhh Canada, I salute you for the effort. Or should I say ohhh boa sandwich company. I mean, to…read morededicate an entire eatery to the clover Boa? It is a worthy cause indeed. Let's start with the good. Huuuuge Boa's! Easily the biggest I've ever seen. The bun is as good as they come, pillowy soft, yet strong enough to hold all of the ingredients that make up these massive sandwiches. Now as far as the food itself, well, disappointing to say the least. I tried the chicken katsu, crackle belly, and Seoul beef. All were technically flawed in various ways. The chicken katsu was the more enjoyable of the bunch, great on breading and flavor, but the chicken itself was tough and on dry side. The amount of beef in the Seoul beef is beyond generous, and actually tasty. But the kimchi does absolutely nothing to add to this. As far as the crackle belly? My oh my. Pork belly is my thing. I've had more than I could count. None as bad as this. The name crackle implies crispy. This cut of pork was so tough and overcooked with little to no fat, that i started to question if it was even ever from the belly itself. Surely this could not be the norm at boa sandwich bar. Maybe a bad day at the office? I would certainly hope so, because even with mild expectations, Bao sandwich bar falls waaaay short.

They even have the Banh Mi store to the side of the building to serve those customers separately. They are Cash/Debit only (no discount). We were here as a party of 3 and paid around 100$ for a lot of food plus leftovers. Very worth it, all in all. Food came out quickly within about 10-15 min or ordering while the special item took about the time they indicated. Ordering is all managed by website (QR Code), but you can get staff to take orders manually if needed. Paying is at the front, they don't push you out when you are done. Tea is free and they will refill if called. All takeout containers and free to be used as well if you have leftovers. Floor staff is a bit passive, only really bringing the dishes and managing cleaning/refills, and the cashier is at the front (semi self-served). We had the: - 37. CƠM GÀ NƯỚNG, SƯỜN NƯỚNG (grilled pork and chicken broken rice), the chicken was juicy and tender and the rice super soft and fluffy, the sauce was perfectly seasoned - 48 BÚN THỊT NƯỚNG, CHẢ GIÒ (grilled pork chop with spring rolls and rice noodles), the noodles were the perfect texture, the meat was juicy and tender, also perfectly seasoned - S4 BÚN BÒ HUẾ ĐẶC BIỆT (spicy Hue Style Beef Special noodle soup) (only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday), they had many options on the website to remove certain portions of the meal like no blood, no cake, etc. very flexible and customizable - 10 CÁNH GÀ CHIÊN NƯỚC MẮM VỚI XÔI (takes an extra 20 minutes) (fish sauce fried chicken wings with sticky rice), this was a hidden gem, its super crispy wind/drumettes, great classic Vietnamese grill flavoring (garlic, salt), it takes some additional time as it is freshly fried It was a great meal and will be back to try the rest of the menu, especially in the summer for their cold drinks!

After some time, we narrowed it down to Pho Nhung and for over a year, it's been a weekly visit since we got the stamp of approval from our family member. It's truly the best spot for Vietnamese food in the city. Our usual order consists of bun bo hue, pho dac biet, bun cha and chao long. The BBH is so flavourful here and packed with toppings. Pho broth is always piping hot and chao long is not a common dish found in Vietnamese restaurants. The only feedback I would share is that the springs rolls are heavily packed with taro and the quay (from the congee) is not necessarily the freshest. The service is great here and they treat us well as we frequent them weekly. Highly recommend visiting.
