Went in grabbed some food here and like always it was amazing. This place is the best Chinese food in town. Prove me wrong! The people are friendly and they never disappoint. Portions are always good and prices aren't too bad. This is definitely me go to spot. read more

Everyone has been saying this chinese restaurant Is awesome. Well the food isn't good like everyone mentions. Rice is dry and so is the food. Please go to Golden City on germantown parkway if you want a decent chinese food. read more

Picked up large order for the family on Monday March first. Called me when food was ready and had given me timeline almost to the minute. They were so busy it was crazy. Employees were so nice and friendly even though stressed. Got home and everything was in my order. ALL food was hot and delicious. What a great place. This is now my always go to place. Great staff and food. Maybe you could teach a few other local restaurants about EXCELLENT customer service. read more

I was so craved for fast-Asian food, so I found this place near my routine drive and stopped by for lunch; the location is bit far away from Interstate 81, but the food and service were great. They sell food separately, so make sure you ask rice or fried rice for 3 different sizes at small fees. read more

This is my favorite Chinese food place in the Memphis area. I've eaten here with my family for many years. When I was in college, a buddy of mine and I went on a mini-quest to find a place in the area with better fried rice than Chang's. After eating at dozens of Chinese places, guess what... Such a place does not exist! I recommend storing their number in your phone, picking up a menu, and calling your order in. There's limited seating, so we typically do take-out. I think they still don't take credit cards, so bring cash. For a hungry family of 4, get the large chicken fried rice, 4 spring rolls, and an entree dish of your choice (beef and veggies, Szechuan chicken, or Kung Pao beef/chicken are great). read more

Never disappointed! This little place has been there for years. Most of their business is take out, but they do have tables if you want to eat there. My sons drive from Downtown, Midtown, and East Memphis to get Chinese food from Changs. Their spring rolls and their house fried rice are my favorites, but pretty much everything is good. read more

The fried rice here is the best in town. I have been to almost every Chinese place within 30 miles of here, and hands down this place has the best fried rice. The spring rolls are in the top 5 best tasting I have ever had. The portions here are very large. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other Chinese places around town but the food here tastes better and is always fresh and hot. Tip: Call and order ahead or you could be waiting about 20 minutes if you order there. They only take cash. This place is definitely the place to go if your wanting fast and delicious Chinese food. Try it out. I have never been let down by the service. read more

I've finally found good Chinese food in Memphis. It's not the prettiest place but it will satisfy. Would recommend.

Since moving to Memphis, we've suffered from lack of good Hot and Sour Soup. Better than chicken soup for colds and sinus/allergy issues. we tried every place we could find. Then I read a review on Yelp and although we live downtown (15-20 min. from Bartlett), one of our doctors is in Bartlett. Hubby had a bad cold, so I decided to try Chang's. It's the best hot and sour soup we've had here and I go out there when sinus and allergies attack. The food is decent American Chinese, the setting more take-out than dine in, but people are nice, prices reasonable and as I ask for it to be "a bit hotter than usual," the peppers in the soup burn the hurt from his throat and open his head. Highly recommend Chang's as good food, reasonable prices. Not much on ambiance, but who needs ambiance with take home soup! read more

I took a girl on a date here. She liked the food, I liked the food. I'm gonna take a different girl here now. ;)

We got the hot and sour soup, General Tso chicken, and egg rolls. Everything was great! The soup was the best hot and sour soup I have had, great flavor. The egg rolls were delicious, large, and definitely homemade. The fried rice has bean sprouts which is also really good. read more

Chicken was overbooked and tough. Portions were a good size. Cash only. Will try again. read more

Chang's House - Chinese Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

Chang's House is a staple in our household. Every time we have a taste for Chinese, this is our go-to spot and it is GREAT every time. Their food is always fresh and the quality is always top of the line. Also, prices are GREAT for the quality and quantity of food. We get their sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour shrimp, spring rolls (definitely hand made), egg drop soup (crispy noodles are second to none), broccoli and brown sauce, cream cheese wontons (DIVINE), veggie lo mein, Kung pao shrimp - just to name a few. I've never been disappointed. We had Chang's last night and I forgot to leave a review! Definitely the best Chinese within a 50 mile radius!! read more

I love this Restaurant!! This is Bartlett Best Kept Secret. I travel from Millington to Bartlett to get the best there is to offer. I miss living 5 minutes away however having tried those places in Millington trust me I don't mind the drive. read more

Been eating here 20 plus years! My favorite Chinese take home! And they now take credit cards, so no worries about cash or checks anymore!

Excellent shrimp fried rice. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I normally get the combo rice or the shrimp fried rice. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. read more

Favorite Chinese food place in town! They have the best General Tsaos chicken. They will leave out the MSG upon request as well, which is amazing if someone can't have it. Everything we've ever gotten here we have loved. Looks like a hole in the wall place, but the food is great! read more

Great food & fast. I called ahead, staff was friendly & polite, had shrimp fried rice and chicken fried rice with a few egg rolls & all of it was fantastic!!! Ate WAY too much & there was plenty left over! Chang's House is fantastic!! read more

My original Chinese restaurant was not able to assist me due to the COVID-19. Desperate, I found this restaurant on line with great reviews. Absolutely wonderful. I order shrimp fried rice every 2 weeks. They give so much food the container is bursting and the shrimp are a great size. They serve the food in containers you like, not the foam ones. Now, I'm ready to go to the next level and order different foods. I am very, very picky when it comes to my Shrimp fried rice. I save the portion I can't eat, freeze and add more shrimp, egg, etc. when I'm ready to eat some more. read more

LOVE Chang's. Been getting takeout from here for years. Food is amazing. One thing that most people have mentioned is that they do not accept credit cards. Only cash. Another thing to remember is that even if he takes your name, he likely didn't actually write it down. He knows who you are based on your order. So if someone sends you to pick up the order, know exactly what was ordered or you won't be getting your food. Sometimes if a woman answers the phone, she is good about writing down the names and what not, but if the man answers, he will not write it down. But hands down, best hole-in-the-wall place ever. read more

Always nice and friendly. I need to start coming by more often. Love the Curry Chicken. Fried rice is the best in town. Old school cash only which is cool and part of the appeal of this place for me. read more

we passed this place before several times but never thought to try because it was always empty. the food here was surprisingly good. i ordered the fried beef eggroll, beef fried rice and fried chicken wings. i ordered 2 eggrolls because i had no idea it was going to be so big. the eggroll had a great flavor to it. so did the chicken wings. the beef in the fried rice was tender. everything was well seasoned even the fried rice which i usually find very bland in most chinese fast food places around here. everything was delicious and i will definitely be back. read more

Absolutely the best Chinese in Bartlett. Changs has been here for 20 years and will be here 20 more. Cash and checks only. No plastic accepted. read more

I was craving Egg Drop Soup and this was the closest place to where I was that had said soup. I'm so, so glad I was pointed here. This was the best Egg Drop Soup I've ever had. I was pleasantly surprised that mushrooms were added. The honey chicken was delicious as well. My only complaint was the white rice was a little on the dry side, but easily forgiven due to the yumminess of the other food. I'll definitely be coming here again. read more

Great food. Very generous portions. Knocked off one star because they are cash only. I do not carry much cash. Would stop in a lot more often if they took VISA. read more

There was nothing appealing about the looks of this place from the outside, and nearly changed my mind about it, but husband said lets give it a try. Well, so glad we did. We ordered the sesame chicken which was fried with sauce on the side. Couldn't stop eating the crispy bits of chicken. The pork fried rice was full of flavor. Who needs soy, mustard or duck sauce? This rice needed neither and the pork was tender and flavorful. The egg rolls, I was told, was made at the restaurant, and they were the best I've had in over twenty years. The general Tso's chicken was unlike any we've had. Yummy! The corn peppers gave the perfect amount of heat, the crunchy chicken never lost its crunch, the sauce was perfect and not heavy like you'd have at other Chinese restaurants. The lady at the counter was pleasant and helpful with the menu. It took no time to get our food. The restaurant was simple, but the food was unexpectedly good. We will go again to try some of the other dishes on the menu. read more

Great food and easonably priced. Eggrolls are huge and House Fried Rice is filling. Make sure you have cash, no plastic accepted. Another tip...call your order in because this place gets BUSY on a Friday night. Very friendly and we will be back again....again...and...again read more

Above average but overpriced Chinese takeout. It is one of the better Chinese restaurants I've been to in Memphis, but I feel that there are better options for the price. I particularly loved the egg drop soup, and the fried rice is really quite good. The entrees were good but not quite as memorable. However, with so many other options I'm not sure I will go back. read more

Chang's house is a hidden gym buried in a sea of fast food and chain restaurants. I happen to find this place on Yelp and decided to try it since I was new to the Bartlett area. The quality of the food is amazing. Especially compared to the competition! Do not hesitate going here. They have 4 and 5 star reviews for a reason. CASH ONLY so hit up the ATM on the way. read more

Best take out in Bartlett! Their fried rice is wonderful and the eggrolls are handmade (not frozen). I have yet to find any better. The owner also grows his own bean sprouts. Wonton soup is one of my favorites as well as the kung pao shrimp. If you like the authentic spicy mustard, he keeps a stash ready to go for a few extra cents. A must try place!!! read more

Best Chinese I've had in Memphis. Dumplings are hand made and fresh. And all of the recipes are custom to this restaurant. Delicious and not the standard fare read more

Before I decided to use Google to locate a few restaurants around me, I knew nothing of or about Chang's House. First let me say, any time there are hundreds of reviews on one place and they're all GOOD reviews I'm going to go check the place out. Oddly enough I'm almost regretting that I found out about this place because as I'm typing this I'm secretly wishing I was downstairs finishing off the House Fried Rice and the House Lo Mein that I bought tonight. I've never had Chinese food that was seasoned so perfectly; even the meats were seasoned. My son, who's 3, is McDonald's type of kiddo but tonight he was a Chang's kiddo lol I've never seen him eat as much as he did tonight. Their establishment is very neat and well lit. I don't think I would eat in...but will continue to call my order in. Also, they don't take credit cards so be sure to bring cash when you go. read more

Ordered sesame chicken and beef rice. Pretty decent food not the best but I like it at the reasonable cost.

The best Chinese Restaurant Period been eating here since I was a child & I'm 32 with children & still eating here. Excellent place, people, food. read more

The fried rice had a burnt tast to it and the general Tao chicken I got was tough and chewy. And its 2014 and they don't take cash. Bartlett, TN doesn't have any good Chinese food that I've found so far. All the good stuff is in Memphis ( midtown and university of memphis area) read more

We went here for lunch because the other place that we were going to go had a really long line. We read the yelp reviews and decided to check it out. We went here for lunch and left with lunch and dinner. The portions were huge. And it was really, really good. You should check it out. Also the prices were very reasonable. read more

Sooo good! Generous portions, friendly service, and the egg drop soup is THE BEST!!!

Love Chang's!! Especially their house fried rice and egg rolls. Have eaten from here for almost 30 years. Yum!

I'm sure everyone can agree this is the place to go for good Chinese food. It's always fresh. None of that heat lamp stuff. The service is always fast. The price is worth it! They give you your money worth more than a serving size and enough to keep you full for the rest of the day! read more
