San Gabriel Park is huge, scenic, and with pristine manicured grounds. There is a little something for everyone - playground for children, walking and cycling trails for adults and fishing for adults as well. Quite honestly, I was surprised to see how many folks were fishing in the San Gabriel River. San Gabriel Park is located along the San Gabriel River. Although the San Gabriel Park is quite large, it has the feel of being absolutely serene simultaneously. The park has picnic tables, places to sit along the river and places to hang out if you want to meditate or take in the park's beauty alone. This park is definitely family-centric with playgrounds, open fields, and shaded areas for picnics or self-discovery.

This trail had some beautiful views and has made it to the top of my favorite trails. This trail was challenging and everything you'd want in a trail. Highly recommend. These sites also come with running water and electricity, as a reminder be sure to grab your parking pass on the way in and stick it on your windshield. Pros-I rented campsite #32 and I was beyond satisfied. Steps away from the lake and seeing all the boaters and water skiing going on was awesome. My campsite had its own path down to the lake so it was such easy access. The camp host or volunteers were very nice and would wave while driving by making me feel very much at home. I went during the wk so it was peace and quiet a great get away if you want to just leave the hustle and grind of everyday city life. Cons- when rented a site close to the water keep in mind the wind conditions, shouldn't be an issue if you are coming with an RV but I had a tent and it was extremely windy sometimes blowing my belonging off the pavilion table. No question about it I will be returning again soon!

This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure where to go. The road that goes around & over the dam is closed until Aug 2024, so I just took the only other option. I ended up at the boat launch, and it's a great place for pics! Plenty of ducks & pretty scenery! Not too many people on the lake or in the campground, but it definitely looks like a nice place to spend a relaxing weekend & drop a line in the water!

Playground canopy covers offer some shade. There's a walking trail nearby and we saw a lot of folks from the neighborhood walking their dogs. There was one large dog without a leash so just keep a close eye. Saw a couple doggy poop bag stations which is always helpful (as long as people actually use them). Some covered picnic benches here too. No restrooms. Small parking lot. I feel like this park doesn't get too much action since it's so hidden. I found a bag of Buzzballz in the playground (threw it out) so obviously teenagers are using it. A nice option if you're looking for quietude.

This is a nice little public park in the Georgetown area nestled behind residential homes. You'll…read morefind about a dozen parking spots along with several picnic tables scattered throughout the property, both covered and uncovered. The park has some very nicely designed play scapes with swings and the entire property is ringed by trees and cacti. Towards the back of the park, you'll come across a primitive trail that is flanked by cacti which runs behind many of the homes in the area. However, the paved and primitive trails do not link up to any other trails in the area. There is also makeshift softball field, albeit not very large. What you will not find here are public bathrooms, grills, and a water fountain.
