Those are narrow and the grass is high in those sections so keep that in mind. There are some nice canopy areas with trees that go over the path providing shade. This seems like a park you'd go early in the morning to walk. Parking was scarce. We found a tiny lot near the entrance so be aware. The river is nice and you're sure to see some turtles and birds here.

There is a giant rock wall on one side, and most of the path is dirt. It's very cool with the canopy of trees overhead. The only downside is the runners and bikers; otherwise, it's a nice walk. There is a parking lot with a bathroom beside it, and the two paths are labeled. Maybe next time we will take the other loop.

It is just another addition to the 28 mile, or so, loop around Lake Georgetown. I like to park at Overlook Park and walk over here. Lots of beautiful scenery with Blue Hole, that famous hole that never dries up, just a mile or so from San Gabriel Park. Booty's is home to the John Ischy Archeological Site which is protected by the North Rim of the San Gabriel, which I've yet to find. Also home to Booty's is the Georgetown Challenge Course. Along the trail from Booty's to San Gabriel Park are a couple of cool spots for bird watching and star gazing, and, of course the challenge course. Lots of the trail is lighted and offers three different surface areas like concrete, crushed granite, and, asphalt. It's beautiful and peaceful. Please help keep it that way. This park is isolated with only one way in by vehicle, but, several options by foot. Whether or not you do the full 28 miles around the lake, you will enjoy yourself here. Not only can you get your exercise on, but, this is a beautiful place to just come and veg out, read a book, or have a picnic. There is also a large covered pavilion that would be great for large gatherings. Booty's is good for the entire family, and, of course dogs. Please scoop your poop.

This park has a playscape, swings, public bathrooms, and two separate areas of covered picnic tables. There is a paved bike path that runs adjacent to this park and runs into Rivery park on the other side of I 35. There's also a primitive trail that runs along South Fork of the San Gabriel River. If you wish to visit this park, it does have 10 parking spaces and it's a good jumping on point for the paved trail. Definitely a nice asset to the neighborhood and joggers alike. Loved it so much that I forgot to take photos…read more The equipment is awesome -- looks updated and has a ton of different climbing areas, etc. A good amount (and variety) of swings too. There are little hills next to the playground that have rock steps to climb. No idea if this is for humans or dogs or whatever but my toddler liked them! Ample green space to just run around (great if you have a younger toddler that can't use all the playground equipment yet). Lovely little walking trail nearby -- we had grandparents with us (stopped by en route to dinner) and they were able to take a nice walk. Ultimately, the design of this park is fantastic. The playground is surrounded by green space and separated from the parking area (which has ample spots btw) by large rocks. There is a road nearby but it's not super close and isn't particularly disruptive. Overall, it's just very pleasant being here. Loved it and wish it was closer.

I have been visiting Olson Meadows Park with my daughter for years. It is one of our all time…read morefavorites thanks to the tree coverage and shade, making summer months so much more bearable. After not visiting for a while, we stopped by today, and were surprised + impressed by the change! The play structures have been completely replaced and modernized. There are two separate structures for different age groups, and they are both fantastic. The playground is surrounded by large green spaces / fields, excellent for playing or practicing sports, flying kites, and more. My kids had a wonderful time playing and we can't wait to visit again soon, next time with a picnic lunch!

It is a quaint place with lots of seaeting, shade, and solitude to reflect on life. There is also a marker celebrating a shootout in the 1800s. Neat! If you're looking for lots of glitter and glamour, this place isn't it. I loved visiting this particular park due to the quiet demeanor it had. Come visit and bring a book to read. It's also across the street from Round Rock donuts. Yum!

As the park's namesake suggests, there is a large old water tower on the property. There's not much in the way of amenities, just a few benches and sidewalks with a seating area by the water tower. There is a nice patch of green space, but at one end is an abandoned building which was formerly a gas station. The small park basically serves as the center of attraction in the downtown area. The best place to park is across from Round Rock Donuts.

There's also a children's play scape and some exercise equipment next to it. There's no sign on the property denoting this as a public or private park. There is a nice wide paved trail that winds around the park, which is about 3 acres in size. Lots of cedar and Live Oak trees throughout the property. Street parking only. Wells Branch Park is the southerly "Godfather 3" in the trilogy of parks within the Wells Branch…read moreMunicipal Utility District, starting with the picturesque and duck-filled Mills Pond to the north, continuing to the family/sports-friendly Katherine Fleischer park in the middle. It's not my favorite, as it seems the least maintained with higher grass and weeds. A lot of it is just a path between the backside of apartments/houses and a ditch. In some places it's just very narrow, and two crossing joggers need to claim their path to avoid each other. Though it is 2.2 miles in a 4.3ish mile figure-8 that centers at Fleischer, which is good if your goal is not repeating the same section over and over to get some miles in. The trail here has more percentage concrete than its northern counterparts, including some tricky drainage patches you could trip on if not careful, and involves three road crossings (plus two tunnels to go under Wells Branch Parkway). But what seems to be the draw of this park is the frisbee golf. It seems well marked, and a full 18 holes. It's busy all times of day, with the golfers, or as I believe they like to be called "stoners", bringing their gym bags filled with all sorts of discs. Some of the discs even light up, presumably for evening play. Perhaps the higher grass is to make the golf more "interesting". Like the Mills Pond area, this park could use the lighting found on the Fleischer paths, and maybe a water fountain. But it is a fairly good use for what otherwise would just be a drainage creek.

This is a pretty nice park area to hang out or chill if you're planning to play some games (i.e…read more outdoor activities) or have a dog and want to do some jogging. I find most parks in TX have a severe lack of ... trees? or shade I find it to be kind of weird since I could't just sit out in the middle of the field and take in the UV index of 9 every day ... but then again maybe there was shade elsewhere and I just didn't find it. The grounds are ok, there are some courts for you to play tennis and basketball if you'd like and they really do like to keep this area fairly clean. I think there's a playground somewhere as well although I could be wrong since it was far and across the park. There is also a golf course here. I think that's what most people come for.
