The news below doesn't surprise us as the vet simply suggests us to let our dog to have blood test for her "itchiness". There was no examination at all as the vet was scared of our dog. He simply pulled our dog's leash forcibly as if he doesn't know how to deal with a dog. As the blood result shows nothing, he suggests us to run fecal test to identify the issue. - just for her itchiness.

After four days, I asked again and was told they were waiting for doctor approval. After seven days, I was again told they were waiting for doctor approval. When I attempted to ask questions about the normal process and expected turnaround time for receiving records, I was told I could often get them the same day of service. I have now been told my request will be escalated and treated as a priority today. (Note: These aren't complicated records. My dog had two appointments that were pretty basic vet care.) Waiting for insurance reimbursement of thousands of dollar is frustrating enough, but a delay caused by failure to follow through by the admin staff is cause for a mediocre review instead of the 5 stars that Dr. Scearce deserved. If you don't plan on filing an insurance claim for your pet care, I can recommend Paws of Pleasanton. If you do plan to file an insurance claim, be prepared to wait for your records.

I've been waiting to do this review for a long time. It's been a year since my dog passed. And…read moreit's been very difficult to cope with. I didn't have the emotional strength to relive my experience. I still mourn him. Before his first assessment for treatment, knew my dog had a heart murmur. But because he was fine and showed no serious symptoms, I prolonged taking him to the vet. The time I decided to do so, i would travel one hour to this vet because I wanted him to have the best care and so I thought. On his first visit, they kept him for a few hours to do tests. When I got him back he was not the same. He all of a sudden to started to have fainting symptoms daily. He would collapse to the floor. I would rush him outside for first aid and sometimes give him mouth to mouth. It was scary. From that day forward his health went progressively down as he grew weaker and weaker. And the bills just got bigger and bigger. ImI was expected to take him every six months for sonogram (different location), x ray and bloodwork. I would joke and say I'm going to rename him Louie because that's what he's costing me. A LV bag every time. I love my dog dearly and wanted to do whatever I could to keep him going. But I couldn't help to think, did they do something to my dog sicker for profits? I know I can't make that claim unless I have proof. All I know is how sick he got after that first visit. On my last assessment, I told them I can't afford another x ray and sonogram (VEG). Just the bloodwork. So they did what they did and sent him out. There was no consultation of the findings which I thought was weird. I traveled an hour to bring him to this place, have spent thousands of dollars and that's it? He died two months later. I have to write this in case anyone has had the same experience. I don't want to be told you should have did this or that. Or maybe this and that. It's too late. I just wanted to share my experience in case someone has had the same. That's all.

We were faced with the difficult choice of going to a vet clinic or finding an in-home euthanasia service. We found Heaven from Home and reached out to Dr. Wensing. Although she was initially fully booked, she took the time to speak with us and even recommended other in-home services to try. Unfortunately, none had availability, and we were preparing ourselves for a traditional vet visit...something we knew would cause our already fragile girl a lot of anxiety. Then, Dr. Wensing called back. She had a cancellation and could come that same day. It truly felt like a blessing. She arrived with such compassion and calm presence, and because of her, our girl was able to pass peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family. It meant everything to us to give her that kind of goodbye. We could not have asked for a more caring, professional, and humane experience during one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives. If you are facing a similar situation, I cannot recommend Dr. Wensing and Heaven from Home enough. We are forever grateful for the kindness and dignity she gave our beloved companion in her final moments.

I'm used to medical/veterinary staff being hurried and brusque, but Dr. Wensing was anything but. She's set the bar so stratospherically high here I don't think anyone will ever come close. She responded within a few minutes, was able to come out on a weekend, same day short notice, and offered multiple times to find what would work best. It was important to me that we were able to find a time where everyone could be present. My girls Kaylee and Gabby liked her immediately. She clearly has a gift with animals. She walked us through what the process would be like, answered all of our questions, and made us feel confident that we were doing what was best. She was gentle, calming, and patient, and made sure we knew what was happening every step of the way, giving us as much time as we needed when we needed it. When it was time for her to leave, she left us with the kindest words and warm hugs, as though she were a long-time friend. She clearly has a gift with people, too. On one of my worst days of my life, she brought such compassion, consideration, professionalism, care, warmth, and peace into my home that it seemed superhuman. I don't believe in angels, but if I did, she'd be one of them. Kaylee's sister Gabby is still with us, and I hope she still has a good number of years ahead, but Dr. Wensing will be the first person I call when the time comes. I'm not sure I can give a higher recommendation than that.

She lives with my parents who are retired and aren't the best at brushing, especially those back teeth. Mia gets her dental cleanings with Dr Venkhat, and her teeth are porcelain after! She tolerates the anesthesia well, and they also kindly trim her nails and give her vaccines while she's asleep, so we can minimize vet visits. Dr Venkhat also recently treated Mia's UTI. His practice partner, Dr Meredith, who is super sharp and kind, updated me on Mia's results and steps moving forward. Mia has recovered well from her UTI. I have MetLife pet insurance, and Dr Venkhat's office has always provided me prompt copies of the documents I need to submit for insurance reimbursement. They aren't in network directly with any outside pet insurance, but they do have some of their own plans, including a wellness plan that looks like it actually is a better deal than MetLife's. (I stick with MetLife because I get it through my work benefits). The office staff always coddles and spoils my fur baby, and Dr Venkhat's expert skills as a vet make me reassured that Mia is in good hands when she's not feeling well!
